This is such an amazing overlay! So many great details added that the work involved in transforming it every year must be incredible!
I really loved the singing busts having pumpkin heads, I thought it was really creative! And the Jack, Sally, and Oogie Boogie animatronics looked really awesome,too!
I love the night before x mas overlay. but sometime I think there is too many voices. some rooms don't need the narrator.

@@jakkibarman7925 exactly, it wouldnt be as chaotic if they didnt have an abundance of sounds. it harmonized so well. the minor versions of the christmas songs blend in with all the voices that it is very spooky
How they are able to put up all these decorations over one night really confuses me
IcebearTV They don't do it in one night. The haunted mansion is closed for about 2 weeks. But they do decorate the entire park in one night. But they have so many people that help that one night of hard work is plenty of time!

It's normally about 4 weeks or so, but they cut it down to almost half that time this year. They were even boasting about it in articles recently.

Disney is missing an amazing opportunity with the Haunted Mansion for Halloween. Seriously, it doesn't need a holiday overlay throughout September and October because it's perfect as is for the holiday season. If anything, this should be set up in November around the same time as Its a Small World.

I see what you’re saying but Halloween time starts in Sept ending in November I believe. It would just be a waste to take it down then put it back up. I mean for the rest of the year we have the og mansion
@@GreyM900 It's not a Halloween movie...it's a Christmas movie. It should go up ONLY for Christmas, like the rest of the Christmas decorations/overlays.
@@critzeport Well the director said it’s a Halloween film. So basically....it can go up during Halloween Time.
I love both Haunted Mansion and Nightmare Before Christmas theme. I'm anxious and excited to visit Disneyland again. Happy to see the new additions - Hattie the Hatbox Ghost and Oogie Boogie plus Lock, Shock, and Barrel at the mirrors; the reflections are funny 😂.

The original Haunted Mansion would've been perfectly fine for this time of year. The Nightmare Before Christmas took place after Halloween was completed. These decorations would've worked more for November/December.

I LOVE the nightmares before Christmas overlay! I only went to Disney during my birthday in October, so I never knew this wasn’t the only version of the ride. I was disappointed when I went this May 😅
My favorite movie of all time, hope I can see something like this some day!

I still want to see a behind the scenes on Disneyland preparing their holiday overlays they do every year.
I like to think that the characters broke into the haunted mansion and messed up everything.

We always went to Disneyland between Halloween and Christmas so I didn't get to go on the original until I was like 14. This is my absolute childhood.
Come 2021 I'll be driving down there from Burbank to Anaheim opening day and singing my lungs out till the Haunted Mansion employees boot me off 😂

I like to imagine that the cast of Nightmare before christmas took over the haunted mansion and made beautiful chaos.

Great ride at Christmas time
I got to go on this ride with my parents and many other theme park guests in November 2019 for my birthday weekend. The gingerbread 🏠was gorgeous, because it's been 50 years of the magic for The Haunted Mansion. Holidays rule! God, how I miss Disneyland on days we come home from vacation. 😭! 👍🏻 if you agree. PLEASE upload the WHOLE ride video when you get a chance.
Here is what I think should’ve been the stretching portraits for the nightmare before Christmas ride
The three quicksand men are lock shock and barrel
The tightrope walker should be sally and in the bottom of her is the worm jack puts under the Christmas tree
And for the old woman with a tombstone she is sitting on should be jack sitting on zero’s tombstone
And the last one for the man on dynamite should be oogie boogie sitting on sandy instead of a barrel and on sandy claws’ beard there should be a timer to explode

It is very cool for this time of year! But the original Hunted Mansion is by far my very favorite!!
Agreed I hope they dont keep it this way cause it will ruin the ride. Some things need to be kept the original way or we will lose what Disney had imagined and made all together

@@stn1812 They made room for star wars because it would be unusual to save that space for one roller coaster. They already had star wars in planning for a while now and would never replace it for something like that. Now there isnt any room over there at Disneyland
@@stn1812 One thing that I don't understand, is that, Star Wars has it's OWN land, and yet Tommorow Land has Star Tours, and Hyperspace Mountain (with references of Star Wars). I don't get why they would waste the land, when they could've build something better. Star Wars is very popular among people, but using all that space is really unnecessary when you are just going to have one ride.
I wish they would do this in disneyworld too. I was just there for their Halloween party and they don’t change the mansion at all for it on the inside

I was on this ride and yk how theres someone on the balcony dressed as jack? I yelled “H I” really loudly and they actually got scared! Ive been keepin that memory with me everrrr since!!
I love how everything is changed and the hat-box ghost is just sitting there like: “IM STILL STANDING!”

Oh my I totally forgot about this ride!! Bring ps back memories! I haven’t seen This ride in years but This scene makes me 100% sure I’ve been on this ride (2:43) I totally forgot this ride existed or that I’ve been on it before :O

They almost did at one point but Florida residents did not want the overlay, according to a survey done a few years ago. Tokyo Disneyland does a NBC version and they have virtually the same house design as WDW so the decorations went there.
I have a brilliant idea for this ride. At the start they should play a parody of This is Halloween but change Halloween to Christmas. It would still include one of my favorite Disney Songs and not ruin the theming.

I do love this overlay, but it does over stay its welcome. And then i feel like they should add something new each year .
I went to Adventure and Disneyland in a 2-day span and this was the last ride I got on at the end of it all. Man did I go out with a bang. Legit one of the best rides I've ever been on, the detail, everything was beautiful. 10/10

Why is it open in early september? It should undergo the modifications in late september and open up in october
