I would say playing the game is the best way to improve you aim for seig because of all the different scopes and small differences make it very difficult to practise aim in aim trainers (kovaks or aimlabs) using tools like shooting range is super good but in general its just about being aware of you're aim while playing. So overall ide say playing the game is the best way to improve you're aim so long as you're actually trying to improve consciously not just brainlessly playing, also aim trainers are great i personaly use them alot but for a beginer i would say playing the game is the best way to improve.
Play an Arcade mode as a warmup, then a Standard match is what I usually do. But in general, if you want to get better you do need to just play it more. You'll learn common positions and where to check over time.
Thoughts on what I do for gunfights? -> Fixed sensitivity -> I always aim either at head/barricade buckle level or at the mid-chest/thorax region so I can reposition for head level on a crouched enemy very easily or my second shot will kill a standing enemy(this does not work in all cases + I rarely, if ever, find someone prone when doing this.) -> only reload when below half mag + safe, or in downtime -> Alt-walk is quieter in general if you're not spamming lean or ADS->unADS so I rarely crouch unless holding a position -> Knife peeking first to check if anybody is holding an angle super hard -> Always droning/flashing a room before entering rather than dry-peeking
Great video, this sums up pretty much everything i try and teach people. But another thing I think should be learned is ads positioning. Switching from a 3 speed or 2 speed at un ads to a sluggish 1 speed negates the benefits of a 3 speed compared to the higher health of big operators, you have to commit to what you want out of an engagement whether it be the speed and switch of hipfire or the commitment and precision of ads. I think thats important to know when getting into a gun fight : )
legit question, i've been playing for 3k hours but i use toggle lean and toggle ads. Did i screw myself over from being able to learn how to quick peek?
i need an advise. Now i become a trash, when i changed a mouse 1+ year ago. Back then I had diamond before 2.0 with 1.5-1.6 kd, swong and won every firefight, but now I'm struggling with simple firefights, can't find a mouse sensitivity which fits me, even running a bunch of arcades per day. Back then I knew where the mouse stops, but now its a lottery for me. How to find the sensitivity which fits me?
I say this as a general aimer not necessarily a siege player, but pros agree that there's not a perfect sensitivity, there are good and bad ranges for different games but no 1 sensitivity for any given person that will just make them automatically cracked. In fact, changing your sens often can work different parts of your arm and build mechanics in those parts. I recommend either the shooting range or a proper aim trainer, focus on accuracy and don't try to go fast until you really internalize the distance you need to move your mouse from one target to another. As far as flicks go, slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
when I watch a youtube video i want the video to be straing forward like this. I don't want a video talking about siege story then to the point at the end of the video
I always lose gun fights unless i outsmart the opponenet. Been playing on comsole since beta. Idk why but i just cannot aim correctly. If i miss the first headshot theres no shot im hetting a nither bullet to the head. Recoil comtrol + hitting a moving target. Idk why its so hard for me ive practiced ive trained. But theres no improvement at all its been 9 fucking years

Is playing the game the best way to improve aim and gunskill? or is a aim routine recommended?

i warm up in the shooting range and arcade team deathmatch before playing ranked, and it helps with my aim a lot
Shooting range
Playing the game and for me what helped is watching other people play or vod reviewing yourself

One of the problems ive been suffering were being scared of taking proper gunfights now im slowly fixing that thing
one thing IK is that you gotta study urself too, yes sometimes u have bad days and its normal but still you gotta take it and know ur mistakes!
do you do coaching?/ game reviews?

It's preference but definitely disable toggle lean
You can learn to quick peek either way.
