My least favorite change has been the change to ADS time. We went from being able to react to a sudden engagement to now being forced to practically always be ADS'd
It was kinda overkill, that's true. But to be honest I prefer that over that shitty 1.5x meta. Yes they could've only removed the different scopes and mantain only the 1.0x and 2.5x like it is now, but hey at least it killed half of the TDM meta
I feel like they have to make up their mind though, because right now it feels like its in a limbo of just slow enough to not really be run and gun but too fast to be meticulous or necessary. They should either put it back to being fast, or slow it down even more to make it an actual decision. ADS'ing should be an advantage though with everything but shotguns, which could maybe be made to more reliably get hipfire kills.
Echo didn't need it tbh and practically makes echo drones useless. The gu mines being partially invisible was perfect and the instant damage nerf was very understandable but the nerfs after that was overkill

IMO the worst change to Rainbow has been the constant increase in weapon recoil. White Noise gunplay felt so good, but the weapon accuracy was apparently “too high” and now most guns have such a ridiculous amount of recoil that it feels like the Rainbow Operators are toddlers instead of elite CTU specialists.
Buddy aint no gun has a lot of recoil 😂 Go in shooting range and learn the patterns for smg 12, skorpion, r4c, c8 its not hard. The rest is just drag down or steady.

Yeah, the sight stays down vertically, but the amount of random horizontal recoil kills the game. I'd die to get a consistent spray pattern like in csgo. For example the ak in cs is yeah, it kicks, but you can learn it. All of it. The spread is much tighter compared to siege. And not RANDOM. The problem in siege currently is the RANDOM vertical recoil. Try to hit let's say 30/100 bullets in shooting range with ela at the medium distance. Hell try to do it even at the closest range. You can't. Because ubisoft likes to kill fun abd do not like rewarding people who actually take the time to grind the recoils. I've played since operation health, competitively most of it and the gunfights have never felt worse. There's too much luck involved for a game that's 1 shot headshot with every gun.
The shields are mainly busted because of how much melee priority they get. You cannot viably melee a shield user anymore if they know what they're doing. I've died so many times after watching my melee go out first, hit the shield with an audible clang, and it do absolutely nothing because the shield user melee'd in the same solar cycle that I did. Before the rework shields had to respect entering melee because they could get bullied if they weren't careful. Now they just run up to you and start dry humping you as soon as they can.
Two other changes that were in patch notes but never got implemented because they were so controversial were roof hatches being reinforced by default and smoke losing his immunity to his own gas grenades.

2:34 man, Sieges proplayers seem like such crybabies, they have a problem with clearer communication in casual/pubs, when they have teammates they know and are in VC with all the time, and on top of that, one team lost a match/round because they couldn't double tap a Zofia, then went "waah, waah, daddy ubi fix", and of course ubi listened.
Meanwhile Doc gets 3 "lol bad aim" redos (because 99% of Docs are aggressively spawnpeeking rather than being a medic) that give him a load of HP during the animation that usually takes a good few shots to get through. Then the Rook plate self res buff, which he kinda needed because they weren't that useful otherwise, went the other direction by allowing all 5 defenders to eat a shot that would kill them (99% sure you can use plates to tank claymores at any HP) and get up like nothing happened. Altogether, Ubisoft really has a long history of poor decisions regarding R6 (in regards to both gameplay and content). Though I wonder what they'll do regarding the BOSG
Pros didn't hate yellow pings because "it let noobs flourish without learning callouts" it's that it made any kind of camera WAY too strong when used correctly. There is no way to know when people are yellow pinging you. The only way to counter a valk cam when they're yellow pinging you is to have an IQ which made her way too strong which led to having to make Change 10 (no cameras outside). It also made drones that were hidden a free kill with 0 counterplay. When there wasn't a yellow ping available on cams, you had to make the choice to either red ping and give away that you have info on the other person, or have to be able to communicate with your team to tell them where the person is. The pros and high skill players wanted there to be a higher skill ceiling involved and for players to have a choice to make, not just to make the game more difficult.
Jesus I'm so sick of people not understanding the zofia thing, first off it wasn't like he decided not to shoot a downed zofia the zofia was downed on a different floor, and the zofia change was announced a week after this incident which is way to quick for that incident to be related they cant make a change like that in a week, ubi even said zofia losing withstand had nothing to do with pros
It's like ubi is allergic to all fun, I understand balancing changes but some of them don't give that much of an advantage and are just fun to play around with.
Yeah they tend to nerf fun stuff instead of buffing the weak things in the game. There are examples where nerfs were necessary like azami on launch. But generally buffs are better imo
Well the things you pointed out about sledge, are the reason why I have one of my two elite skins unused for many seasons now. For me it wasn't about the ACOG strategy and smg as secondary. It was about the viability of a shotgun in attack. It made him viable (to some extend) to play instead of buck, because he had nades and could shoot through the ground but in a less destructive way. But well, I now have an smg 11 skin from an elite skin for a character that doesn't even have the gun anymore....
Map bans are the only reason i play ranked ever. If they removed i would only ever play standard. Sometimes i just get sick of outback, emerald plains, and theme park and rhey always seemed to be filling my standard games
I don’t really care too much about general changes and stuff like that. I just hate playing ranked because I always end up on a team with people with the most funny and original names ever such as (insert bypassed racist slur here), skibidigoonerchad, freepdiddybabyoil, and so on throwing the game. So these days, I just rarely play ranked and try and enjoy standard and quick match just to have a bit of fun. However, ONE change that I don’t like, is removal of terrorist hunt and situations and replacing it with VS Ai.
Nøkk getting her silent step removed. Her identity was being a Vigil/Cav combination on attack and removing the stronger half of her ability made her go from an A tier operator to an E-F tier operator. Granted the recent reworks have improved her as much as they can without her silent step but as a Nøkk main it’s probably the worst change they’ve done for me outside of the Solis overnerfing.
They gutted my boy. Turned him into a 1 speed. Which made him slower(even though you need to be close to use his gadget), and louder on vert. They took away his SMG11, which made using his shotgun or AR acog less viable. THEN they took away the frags lethality. He needs buffs, but I’m willing to compromise. Make him a 2-2 and give him a secondary shotgun AT LEAST.
The other least favorite change to me is the removal of dead bodies in North Star, it's the only remaining fun stuff in casual. Even the free to play mobile game Arena Breakout has server sided bodies...

ranked 2.0 is the reason my friends and i got away from playing siege. it was just confusing and we either stomped our opponents or got stomped + we could not see if we were really improving because we could not even check our mmr
did everyone almost forget the smoke rework which would make him take damage from his own smoke, making his gas mask useless, which thankfully didn't go through
My main problem with the shield rework is that with every shield Op now being able to sprint with their shield up, it kind of takes away what made Blitz unique. Blitz used to be the defacto aggressive shield Op, that's why you picked him over Monty or Fuze. But now, both Monty and Fuze can be nearly as aggressive as Blitz, while arguably bringing more utility as well. Yeah, Blitz has his flashes which are still useful, but that's really the only thing he has over Monty and Fuze right now.
@@SquashyButton fuzes pistol is better (when the sight lines up) but I have played Monty more than any other operator the past to seasons and nearly every kill I've gotten is off his shield not his pistol I hate his pistol so much again it's just personal preference though
2:00 I actually argue that Tachanka is worse now. His turret lost to vert, but it blocked doorways as a bug, and was very strong spawnpeaking maps like kanal bridge.
My least favorite thing(s) is everything that happened when they introduced Zero... Fuck the new sensitivity changes so on and so forth. That season and ON has been NOTHING but downhill. The recoil/shooting/mechanics were staples for me. It felt so satisfying in every way and was very learnable. The learning curve made it satisfying once you got there due to a lot of factors like no mini-map. Shooting is not fun and whatever they did to the visual effects when shooting/controlling recoil is embarassing. Why would they remove the vert grip for Twitch?? At least keep it for aesthetics and remove the recoil buff ffs. Something petty would be them removing voicelines/reactions about the environment. Also them removing Mira's original VA... Such bullshit, we get some horrible sounding VA talking from her gullet now because theyre full of shit and "wanted to do something" with Mira instead of the other year 1 ops.. Ohhh idk lets say Castle or instead use Jackal as opposed to changing Miras VA for some deep voiced ass woman? The game has no staying power other than what it is. Rb6 will always have that charm like Tarkov due to no other game being like them. Theyre the og's. Fuck cod s&d and fuck pubg (incase anyone wants to be dumb and bring those unrelated games up, there are parallels sure but not what im talking about). Rainbow used to be fun.
I think you missed when ash lost her acog in burnt horizon, when Maestro lost his acog in shifting tides, and the ranked changes in crystal guard when diamond 3 and 2 were added and platinum 2 and 1 were lowered in mmr

The problem with shields rn is the fact that they have mele prioritization which makes a good player almost uncounterable enless you have multiple tmates around
I disagree. I like the fact that shields have melee prioritization because it punishes people for letting the shield get too close to them. They should make it a little harder for Monty specifically to do that though. Like make him slower or something
Yeah, God forbid if you're an op without explosives or a decent gun to suppress with. Even then, you might just get popped by a shield with crazy aim at longer range
I main frost and I will say that I liked the rework. Nothing sucked more than getting downed on the other side of a map and just having to lay there until somebody either came and revived you or you eventually just died. Attackers are then one shot and they can’t run and leave a massive blood trail so it overall balanced out really well imo!
I think spawn protection in quick match is a good thing, but the pre-setup sites are actually the worst thing ever. On oregon basement, after losing the first round i was like ok i'll pick this op and play in elbow but the rotate that was there round one got double reinforced automatically in round 2. Chose my operator and loadout to play a specific position and the game just says no
Top 3 changes I hated were the ADS time, Lesion and Echo invisibility gadget no more. The most hated is the removal of Terrorist Hunt. There's so many cheaters that the game is unbalanced and it's said the majority of og Siege players have left the game. Even me who begun Siege during Operation Health. I touch the game now and then, but ADS timing is horrible, Lesion was my main, but with the arc implemented to know where your thing will land actually sucks, and the only way to actually have fun is to have friends to play with. I'd rather play Overwatch 2 and Fortnite at this point.
lesion is still extremely strong; just place them at the sides of the door, and its practically the same as it being invisible. And the ads time was needed; the game was a tdm and not even slightly tactical. Now the game rewards playing slower and prepared

One of the most impactful change that I did not see anyone commenting on, is the removal of the natural dropshot, in the first year of the game is so fun dropshoting with ash acog.... good times.
as an avg diamond player, i can tell you that ping 2.0 is a good change. even in high elo lobby. its often time better to ping rather than guiding a teammate to a place which isnt a typical callout spot.
and thats exactly the problem my guy xD isnt it enough to have a cam or drone to tell your mate where someone is? no u have to 100% ping his location? thats one of the worst changes in siege history and u can tell since then the quality of people went down people talk less people go less on cams etc it was just a bad change that wasnt needed

the one thing I see as a relatively new player to siege with the recruit rework isn't even about the recruit it's the fact that you get more operators when you start. and this was nice (for me at least) because I got to play with more variety. and I know that most already have all of the operators and can see how the rework didn't really give anything new
The fact that Ubi has made so many controversial changes and the vast majority of them being in such a small time frame shows they have absolutely no idea what the community wants or what’s actually good for the game. IMO we gotta get rid of who’s there now and put new people in that actually care abt the game
you also forgot with the shield rework, they also got melee priority which basically made getting close impossible because they can just cancel your melee by meleeing right after you did. so you had to run away with wreckless abandon and either die to the shield player or someone nearby.
Spawn peaking is part Of the game. It teachsss new players to be active the minute they spawn. I’ve died heaps of times trying to spawn kill. This is purely a skill based changed that caters to whiny brats to like to repel 90% of the game only To lose to a timer
Runout timer is eh, but I feel the Maestro eye shattered glass, the cameras outside and sledge smg 11 were definitely dumb. I feel they should've given him SMG11 back if they were gonna make him a 3 armor, sure he'd struggle to run away but he'd have one more option to use potentially. I hate they took away grenade cooking and slightly the throw back mechanic. Same with recruit and the quick match changes.
I think they should remove being able to yellow ping with drones. To balance this out, make drones a little bit quieter and not make as much noise when they slightly move. Maybe add a new drone that could camouflage after being still for 15 seconds
it's interesting to see that throughout the entire game's lifespan, up to 2024, that the rift between the elite players/super tryhards, and normal people. Why Ubi will choose to listen to their golden 5% over the rest of the community will always baffle me, especially considering that pretty much all of the objectively good changes were contested by the 5%.
One change I despised was the laser sight rework. Laser sights getting reworked put shotguns in a worse position than they were prior to Heavy Mettle, since they relied on the hipfire buff the sight gave them.
Another controversial change that they quickly went back on was when they gave Ying 4! Gandelas back in steel wave (i think) which was already overkill even after they had just nerfed her before that... It was completely unnecessary and just made playing against her tedious af I believe they went back on it a month after they implemented it. i can't really remember since i stopped playing around that time
ive not seen anything about it here. but the glass change isnt too bad for maestro. he can still use his ability the same. he just cant see before opening the glass. and the mira change was needed. if you can get that close to it, then you should be able to destroy it in some way, shape, or form.
The problem with the Frost rework is that there were, and still are, other operators that should have been nerfed or reworked instead. This change negatively impacted Frost and has significantly lowered her pick rate
I genuinely think every single change has been positive here except for sledge being a 3 speed tachanka and recruit reworks. The game is very balanced now with no broken operators or metas
Imo for Solis I would say alr, remove her impacts and this new scanning mechanic is good for balancing but her time usage, can't use while charging and range distance nerf are things they should change back cause it makes her (imo) kinda useless

Once again I have to explain this to people who have no logic or knowledge. So, the reason why Withstand got removed WAS NOT BECAUSE OF THE MNM vs Rogue game with Yuzus. That clip had little to no influence on the balancing change, that actual balancing change came 2 weeks after that clip. Do you think Ubisoft does nerfs after 2 weeks from a Pro League clip? No.
Did they nerf Meusli instantly after her intoduction with her broken Banshees? No. It took 2 months. 2 MONTHS TO CHANGE. And if someone like Virtue at the (who played a lot of Melusi) got an insane clip that influenced a round would've they had changed it in the next patch? Probably not.

How mine craft handles things being too over powered is by buffing everything thing else, or at least in most cases. If Ubisoft did this the game would be so much more fun
Tachanka is such an easy fix. Mount his gadget to his gun, so u don't have to swap in between them, and give him all it's ammo outright, so u don't have to releaod. It's not that complicated.
The fact that i stoped playing r6 in 2020 and only knew of 1 of these makes me glad i stopeed playing. Why are 19 of these from the later half of the r6 life cycle
ranked 2.0 is something i just despise. i hit diamond like 3 seasons ago and then didnt play for like 6 months, and now im just coming back to siege and im in lobbies with diamond and champs ONLY, so i cant re learn the game and have fun. so im just stuck in copper with a 0.5kd going against diamonds and champs, and then i get flamed for playing terrible despite it being the terrible matchmaking that i cant help.
I agree, but a better way to phrase it would be: The siege community always talk s*** and overreact to any change ubi makes, good or bad. Most of the changes mentioned in this video aren't entirely bad, but people just like to label it as bad even before it comes out.
Eh, not that much. You just needed a teammate to watch a drone for you and have basic map knowledge regarding floors. Nade from below was always cheap. It was satisfying to do but sucked to be on the end of.
If you wanna fix spawn peaks or mfs who jump out to spawn kill just add a feature that the first 60 seconds of the game if you try to break a window/jump out to spawn/peak kill a sniper will insta kill you for even trying
Honestly, they should just bring back Tachanka's turret, but they should do it in one of these 3 ways 1. let us pick between bringing the turret and bringing the fire launcher 2. they could have it be that he has both gadgets, and has to place the turret before he can access the grenades 3. introduce the turret as a secondary gadget that Tachanka only has access to. That way he can have both, and it doesn't take up the same slot The fire may not be good, but I feel it has the potential to be almost as equally meme worthy as the turret (as long as we get the turret back)
Remember when if you said a naughty word, it would just outright kick you from the game and ban you for 30 minutes? Spanish speakers would be saying “con” but add an extra o and then get banned and lose rank points for this.

As a Diamond player the best changes was Making spawns peaks visible after 1 sec And the worst changes were: The sledge nerf The grande nerf that removed cooking And the Solis nerf, it’s okay they nerfed solis so she can’t take out the drones pre phase however the other nerfs absolutely killed her
So how many of these controversal bans were based on/complained by pro leaguers? Most of the QOLs like ping 2.0 was great cause you can tell kill hungry teammates you got defuser and such

I always hate it when a change happens cause the pros whine. They are the minority of the game and should learn how to play the game when it gets changed for the rest of the players
Imo acog should only be on atk no def should have one. They need to stop using it to balance ops and just buff the ability/weapons of those ops not being used. I also think some unused ops arent "bad" but might instead just be boring to play.
The cooking grenades thing is so dumb to me it was so rewarding to get grenade kills and if they wanted to remove grenading from below all they had to do was restrict grenade damage thru floors not remove the mechanic all together
Like Ranked 2.0 & Casual rework is why I quit playing siege Completely killed both the competitive side of Siege as I’m placed in High Emrld > Champion level lobbies despite purposefully hanging around high Plat & the Casual aspect of siege, can’t do fun shit no more with all the pre-site setups and that I can’t spawn peak or runout
I hate ranked 2.0 for some reason siege thinks I’m a champ and I’m constantly going up against champs, ex-champs or high diamonds when the highest rank I’ve been is plat 3 it’s one of the reasons I quit siege since playing from 2018 sad to see how a game I used to love so much now become something else

nowadays if i hear a shield i instantly ask for help because its basicaly impossible to kill by yourself
They breath on their melee key and you can’t touch them

Yeah smoke losing his invulnerability to smoke grenades was a huge one that I even forgot about

2:34 man, Sieges proplayers seem like such crybabies, they have a problem with clearer communication in casual/pubs, when they have teammates they know and are in VC with all the time, and on top of that, one team lost a match/round because they couldn't double tap a Zofia, then went "waah, waah, daddy ubi fix", and of course ubi listened.
Meanwhile Doc gets 3 "lol bad aim" redos (because 99% of Docs are aggressively spawnpeeking rather than being a medic) that give him a load of HP during the animation that usually takes a good few shots to get through.
Then the Rook plate self res buff, which he kinda needed because they weren't that useful otherwise, went the other direction by allowing all 5 defenders to eat a shot that would kill them (99% sure you can use plates to tank claymores at any HP) and get up like nothing happened.
Altogether, Ubisoft really has a long history of poor decisions regarding R6 (in regards to both gameplay and content). Though I wonder what they'll do regarding the BOSG
True, pro players shouldn't be listened nearly as much as they do. They are an elite, not the majority, and they only see their bubble
Pros didn't hate yellow pings because "it let noobs flourish without learning callouts" it's that it made any kind of camera WAY too strong when used correctly. There is no way to know when people are yellow pinging you. The only way to counter a valk cam when they're yellow pinging you is to have an IQ which made her way too strong which led to having to make Change 10 (no cameras outside). It also made drones that were hidden a free kill with 0 counterplay. When there wasn't a yellow ping available on cams, you had to make the choice to either red ping and give away that you have info on the other person, or have to be able to communicate with your team to tell them where the person is. The pros and high skill players wanted there to be a higher skill ceiling involved and for players to have a choice to make, not just to make the game more difficult.
Jesus I'm so sick of people not understanding the zofia thing, first off it wasn't like he decided not to shoot a downed zofia the zofia was downed on a different floor, and the zofia change was announced a week after this incident which is way to quick for that incident to be related they cant make a change like that in a week, ubi even said zofia losing withstand had nothing to do with pros
It's like ubi is allergic to all fun, I understand balancing changes but some of them don't give that much of an advantage and are just fun to play around with.
Yeah they tend to nerf fun stuff instead of buffing the weak things in the game. There are examples where nerfs were necessary like azami on launch. But generally buffs are better imo

Well the things you pointed out about sledge, are the reason why I have one of my two elite skins unused for many seasons now. For me it wasn't about the ACOG strategy and smg as secondary. It was about the viability of a shotgun in attack. It made him viable (to some extend) to play instead of buck, because he had nades and could shoot through the ground but in a less destructive way. But well, I now have an smg 11 skin from an elite skin for a character that doesn't even have the gun anymore....
Map bans are the only reason i play ranked ever. If they removed i would only ever play standard. Sometimes i just get sick of outback, emerald plains, and theme park and rhey always seemed to be filling my standard games

I don’t really care too much about general changes and stuff like that. I just hate playing ranked because I always end up on a team with people with the most funny and original names ever such as (insert bypassed racist slur here), skibidigoonerchad, freepdiddybabyoil, and so on throwing the game.
So these days, I just rarely play ranked and try and enjoy standard and quick match just to have a bit of fun.
However, ONE change that I don’t like, is removal of terrorist hunt and situations and replacing it with VS Ai.

Nøkk getting her silent step removed. Her identity was being a Vigil/Cav combination on attack and removing the stronger half of her ability made her go from an A tier operator to an E-F tier operator. Granted the recent reworks have improved her as much as they can without her silent step but as a Nøkk main it’s probably the worst change they’ve done for me outside of the Solis overnerfing.
Ubi, make Sledge a 3 speed and keep everything. i'll accept that.
They gutted my boy.
Turned him into a 1 speed. Which made him slower(even though you need to be close to use his gadget), and louder on vert.
They took away his SMG11, which made using his shotgun or AR acog less viable.
THEN they took away the frags lethality.
He needs buffs, but I’m willing to compromise. Make him a 2-2 and give him a secondary shotgun AT LEAST.

ranked 2.0 is the reason my friends and i got away from playing siege. it was just confusing and we either stomped our opponents or got stomped + we could not see if we were really improving because we could not even check our mmr

My main problem with the shield rework is that with every shield Op now being able to sprint with their shield up, it kind of takes away what made Blitz unique. Blitz used to be the defacto aggressive shield Op, that's why you picked him over Monty or Fuze. But now, both Monty and Fuze can be nearly as aggressive as Blitz, while arguably bringing more utility as well. Yeah, Blitz has his flashes which are still useful, but that's really the only thing he has over Monty and Fuze right now.
He also has an insane pistol like that pistols iron sights are so hot

My least favorite thing(s) is everything that happened when they introduced Zero... Fuck the new sensitivity changes so on and so forth. That season and ON has been NOTHING but downhill. The recoil/shooting/mechanics were staples for me. It felt so satisfying in every way and was very learnable. The learning curve made it satisfying once you got there due to a lot of factors like no mini-map. Shooting is not fun and whatever they did to the visual effects when shooting/controlling recoil is embarassing.
Why would they remove the vert grip for Twitch?? At least keep it for aesthetics and remove the recoil buff ffs.
Something petty would be them removing voicelines/reactions about the environment. Also them removing Mira's original VA... Such bullshit, we get some horrible sounding VA talking from her gullet now because theyre full of shit and "wanted to do something" with Mira instead of the other year 1 ops.. Ohhh idk lets say Castle or instead use Jackal as opposed to changing Miras VA for some deep voiced ass woman?
The game has no staying power other than what it is. Rb6 will always have that charm like Tarkov due to no other game being like them. Theyre the og's. I think you missed when ash lost her acog in burnt horizon, when Maestro lost his acog in shifting tides, and the ranked changes in crystal guard when diamond 3 and 2 were added and platinum 2 and 1 were lowered in mmr

2 speed sledge with an smg 11 used to be the most perfectly balanced opperator he was really good if you were a beginner or a pro.
The problem with shields rn is the fact that they have mele prioritization which makes a good player almost uncounterable enless you have multiple tmates around
I disagree. I like the fact that shields have melee prioritization because it punishes people for letting the shield get too close to them. They should make it a little harder for Monty specifically to do that though. Like make him slower or something

I main frost and I will say that I liked the rework. Nothing sucked more than getting downed on the other side of a map and just having to lay there until somebody either came and revived you or you eventually just died. Attackers are then one shot and they can’t run and leave a massive blood trail so it overall balanced out really well imo!
I think spawn protection in quick match is a good thing, but the pre-setup sites are actually the worst thing ever. On oregon basement, after losing the first round i was like ok i'll pick this op and play in elbow but the rotate that was there round one got double reinforced automatically in round 2. Chose my operator and loadout to play a specific position and the game just says no
Top 3 changes I hated were the ADS time, Lesion and Echo invisibility gadget no more. The most hated is the removal of Terrorist Hunt.
There's so many cheaters that the game is unbalanced and it's said the majority of og Siege players have left the game. Even me who begun Siege during Operation Health.
I touch the game now and then, but ADS timing is horrible, Lesion was my main, but with the arc implemented to know where your thing will land actually sucks, and the only way to actually have fun is to have friends to play with. I'd rather play Overwatch 2 and Fortnite at this point.

One of the most impactful change that I did not see anyone commenting on, is the removal of the natural dropshot, in the first year of the game is so fun dropshoting with ash acog.... good times.

the one thing I see as a relatively new player to siege with the recruit rework isn't even about the recruit it's the fact that you get more operators when you start. and this was nice (for me at least) because I got to play with more variety. and I know that most already have all of the operators and can see how the rework didn't really give anything new

you also forgot with the shield rework, they also got melee priority which basically made getting close impossible because they can just cancel your melee by meleeing right after you did. so you had to run away with wreckless abandon and either die to the shield player or someone nearby.

Runout timer is eh, but I feel the Maestro eye shattered glass, the cameras outside and sledge smg 11 were definitely dumb. I feel they should've given him SMG11 back if they were gonna make him a 3 armor, sure he'd struggle to run away but he'd have one more option to use potentially. I hate they took away grenade cooking and slightly the throw back mechanic. Same with recruit and the quick match changes.
I think they should remove being able to yellow ping with drones. To balance this out, make drones a little bit quieter and not make as much noise when they slightly move. Maybe add a new drone that could camouflage after being still for 15 seconds
it's interesting to see that throughout the entire game's lifespan, up to 2024, that the rift between the elite players/super tryhards, and normal people.
Why Ubi will choose to listen to their golden 5% over the rest of the community will always baffle me, especially considering that pretty much all of the objectively good changes were contested by the 5%.
The amount of camera transitions in the video is crazy
One change I despised was the laser sight rework.
Laser sights getting reworked put shotguns in a worse position than they were prior to Heavy Mettle, since they relied on the hipfire buff the sight gave them.

Another controversial change that they quickly went back on was when they gave Ying 4! Gandelas back in steel wave (i think) which was already overkill even after they had just nerfed her before that... It was completely unnecessary and just made playing against her tedious af

ive not seen anything about it here. but the glass change isnt too bad for maestro. he can still use his ability the same. he just cant see before opening the glass. and the mira change was needed. if you can get that close to it, then you should be able to destroy it in some way, shape, or form.
The problem with the Frost rework is that there were, and still are, other operators that should have been nerfed or reworked instead. This change negatively impacted Frost and has significantly lowered her pick rate
I genuinely think every single change has been positive here except for sledge being a 3 speed tachanka and recruit reworks. The game is very balanced now with no broken operators or metas

So, the reason why Withstand got removed WAS NOT BECAUSE OF THE MNM vs Rogue game with Yuzus. That clip had little to no influence on the balancing change, that actual balancing change came 2 weeks after that clip. Do you think Ubisoft does nerfs after 2 weeks from a Pro League clip? No.
Did they nerf Meusli instantly after her intoduction with her broken Banshees? No. It took 2 months. 2 MONTHS TO CHANGE. And if someone like Virtue at the (who played a lot of Melusi) got an insane clip that influenced a round would've they had changed it in the next patch? Probably not.
They balanced off metrics and ban rates at the time. Not a clip from Pro League.

ranked 2.0 is something i just despise. i hit diamond like 3 seasons ago and then didnt play for like 6 months, and now im just coming back to siege and im in lobbies with diamond and champs ONLY, so i cant re learn the game and have fun. so im just stuck in copper with a 0.5kd going against diamonds and champs, and then i get flamed for playing terrible despite it being the terrible matchmaking that i cant help.

I agree, but a better way to phrase it would be: The siege community always talk s*** and overreact to any change ubi makes, good or bad. Most of the changes mentioned in this video aren't entirely bad, but people just like to label it as bad even before it comes out.
The thing about cooking nades as an attacker is it took a tremendous amount of skill and communication before yellow ping.

Honestly, they should just bring back Tachanka's turret, but they should do it in one of these 3 ways
1. let us pick between bringing the turret and bringing the fire launcher
2. they could have it be that he has both gadgets, and has to place the turret before he can access the grenades
3. introduce the turret as a secondary gadget that Tachanka only has access to. That way he can have both, and it doesn't take up the same slot
The fire may not be good, but I feel it has the potential to be almost as equally meme worthy as the turret (as long as we get the turret back)

Honestly the shield rework isn't that bad for the defenders because you can melee/stun the shield and shoot them with hip fire.

And the worst changes were:
The sledge nerf
The grande nerf that removed cooking
And the Solis nerf, it’s okay they nerfed solis so she can’t take out the drones pre phase however the other nerfs absolutely killed her
And btw the frost rework was ass and there is literally nobody in higher ranks who falls for her dog ass traps if playing while your brain is active

Imo acog should only be on atk no def should have one. They need to stop using it to balance ops and just buff the ability/weapons of those ops not being used. I also think some unused ops arent "bad" but might instead just be boring to play.
