Newcastle Recycling - The aging 2211

Well this years marks 11 years of these beasts making there way around the streets of Newcastle and after 11 years their for sure showing there age. This in fact is one of the first Euro 5s I’ve seen that is already blowing smoke from the exhausts. Solos run in Newcastle will come to an end later this year if they can’t regain the contract. Many major companies have put in a tender but, only time will tell on who will win.
This was filmed last week on a warm Tuesday morning in one of the inner city suburbs of Newcastle. It’s a very entertaining area to film with the 2 lane Main Street making it an nightmare to pass trucks. Thanks to Phil for letting me tag along!
