- After Joe Biden's 'shaky' remark, U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price said India is an essential partner of the US. The comment comes after Biden said India, among the Quad countries, has been ‘somewhat shaky’ against Russia. Responding to a question on whether or not all QUAD partners are in sync with India's historic relationship with Russia, Price stressed, "We are a partner in India when it comes to shared interests. When it comes to the values we share in a free and open Indo-Pacific and we've invested in that relationship in terms of our defence and security. So historical relationships notwithstanding, we are a partner of choice for India now, as are many of our partners and allies around the world." Watch the full video for more.

Russia attacking a well developed country in Europe is not at all something which should feel cheerful about. And there r many many fundamental reasons for that for why India should be concerned. However, India did not want to follow capitalist model because it believed exploitation was imminent in a capitalist world which India wanted to avoid. India felt a capitalist society would have similarities with British colonialism even in a free world. Also, despite the progressive voices in pakistan, it was a nation that attacked Kashmir in 1947 and committed genocide and mass rape in the distant part of it's own country today called Bangladesh. India as you yourself put it, a spiritual nation embracing multiculturalism and equality was a better choice then and the US was on the wrong side. Russia is an autocracy and and is notorious for suppression of dissent and it's human rights record is questionable. That said, even after the disintegration of USSR, Russia has taken India's interests into consideration and has consistently proved itself reliable. Russia is the aggressor in this conflict but as horrible as this war is, this is not the first time such war has happened after ww2. India's position has been consistently neutral since long even when America and it's allies invaded Iraq. That is what good journalism is all about. Having both sides heard is important, not we always want to hear, which will far from truth. I was digging further to find about her.
