If you get a Fryette Power Station you can attenuate and have an effect loop. Effects loops in amplifiers are not normally good because they change the sound of the amp With a Fryette Power Station it has an effects loop that comes after the amp. You can even try it with your amps that have effects loops I bet your amps will sound better.
You are 100% correct. This is the best possible way to get effects after an amp like this. Power Station is an essential buy for any amp collecting person.

I'm pretty sure Marshall still makes Plexis, in several variants even (Studio Vintage, 1987X Vintage Reissue, 1959 Handwired).
they sure do, but the Friedman has a few nice features. Built in variac, post phase inverter volume control and internal jumping of both channels and stuff like a 3 way bright switch. It's like getting a modded Plexi from the factory. it's a lot easier to get "that sound" from the Friedman which is pretty ironic.
The Splawns I've played lately were the best I've played. Splawns are very underrated.
I used to own a Pro Mod back in the day. Great amp. 👌🏻

I use my GOD MOD tubes for the attenuator in my amp, but that new feature in an amp is cool! I use my tubes as the noise gate & overdrive also! That Friedman is a cool amp though. I want you to play through a GOD MOD amp!

This particular Friedman amp does not impress me. I've heard at least 7 different demos of it And there is something about it I just don't like? His BE and JEL am 0:01 ps amps kick ass!
