Obrigada pelo carinho minha querida 💕 Beijinhos e ótimo resto de semana 😘😘😘

    Adorei, como sempre. Exceto a parte que refere a Iris, embora cá por casa também tenha um ajudante do mesmo género. Os Paphs estão super, é o meu ponto fraco. Lá vou eu pesquisar no seu canal como trata deles 😬...All the best!

      Olá Clementina, que bom ter notícias suas, obrigada. Cães pequenos fazem sempre alguns estragos mas nunca antes tive algo semelhante apesar desta ser o nosso quinto pastor alemão. Mas enfim, cada um tem as suas coisas. Os meus Paphiopedilum vão indo relativamente bem embora crescendo bem devagar. Eu cultivo-os naquela janela o ano todo, eles levam um pouquinho de sol no fim da tarde. De resto, o substrato é só chips de coco tratado e algumas pedras para melhorar o arejamento. Eu gosto dos chips de coco e agora até uso em vez da casca de pinus que para mim tem sido difícil de encontrar. Também acho mais duráveis que o pinus. O meu truque é misturar os chips com um substrato inerte, tais como pedrinhas de rio ou aquário ou pumice, em maior ou menor quantidade conforme o substrato precisar de secar mais ou menos rapidamente. Parece que vem aí o frio mas pelo menos vamos ter algum sol. Tudo de bom e um Bom Natal 💖💖💖

    Nice update. Glad you checked your Angraecum, hopefully the infection has stopped. 🤞🤞 Your Paphs look very nice 🤩... Oh no! Iris got your Sophronitis. It happens, puppies are mischevious. Odin destroyed a few of my succulents and cacti when he was a puppy. Hopefully your remaining pieces recover!

    FFF 😍 wow the bosseri did look very scary and I can fully understand why you are concerned. I had a similar situation in the crown of mine because of mealy bugs, but luckily it did not affect the whole leaf. I did not need to cut on anything off, but I still have nasty looking black damage where they were. It wasn't even a big mealy bug outbreak, so .... now seeing your leaf, I am convinced that bosseri has more delicate leaves than they feel to the touch. I really hope that your crown is not compromised 🙏🏼 how sweet that the lady at your nursery to be so honest and not want to sell you that cernua! Then to give it to you as a gift 🥰 faith in orchid humanity restored, to a degree! Looks like it is going to be ok for you. I hope your other pieces find it in them to pull through as well 😘 sometimes I question my decision to get the collection I now have! I don't want to get emotionally attached to things anymore, but here we are 😅 I have moments when I do regret the decisions I made with orchids I purchased without the foresight of financial circumstances changing. I thought I had covered all the bases, but never thought that I would not be able to care for the responsibilities I took on because of finances. Meh!! p.s.: the Wilhemara you gave me is growing 3 new growths that I can tell. 🫣😅 I appreciate all the gifts from you!! They warm my heart. The gratrixianum is also looking marvelous, which makes me so happy!! Thank you for this interesting video. Have a beautiful day my beautiful friend 🫶🏼❤🌸

    • @FernandaNascimentoOrchids
      @FernandaNascimentoOrchids  8 месяцев назад

      Hi dear Nina❤ I am so glad gratrixianum and Whilhelmara are giving joy and nothing to worry about 😊 I really have no idea what caused the infection on bosseri's top leaf. Very odd as it started while it was still outside. The strong gusts of wind that also damaged my VR? They were one behind the other, although the bosseri was further under the roof. Still hard to understand. At least it would be nice to know. So far the other top leaf is ok, fingers crossed. I don't really care much if a recently acquired orchid does not make it. But when an orchid has done well for several years and then something bad happens, it makes me very sad. The cernua was really bad. None of my previous dogs did such a thing to a plant I left unattended. They digged holes and chewed other things instead but my plants were safe. Iris likes to chew anything green and steals the small stones from my pots. I rarely take her to the lawn but when I do, she runs feeling very happy and eats it like a goat. I beleive it's because the breeder had a large lawn in the kennels and the puppies were free to play there. She has a strong personality like all german shepherds but she is learning, we are firm when need to be. Interesting to realize how much easier it was with previous puppies just for having an older dog to learn from and serve as example 🤔 Thank you for taking your time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it. Hope you are feeling better and that your back pains are over and wish you are having a comfortable and cozy evening 😘😘😘😘

      @NinjaOrchids 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@FernandaNascimentoOrchids only after you mentioned the wind you had that took out your VR, did I remember that at the beginning of the season, when I took my bosseri out, one leaf was immediately affected and you were the one that pointed out that it is possible that one cooler breeze came through, possibly doing damage to that leaf. I was lucky that it was the surface of the leaf and there was no further deterioration. So, now we know, Bosseri are sensitive to anything too radical like a lot of wind and a little chill..... I can vouch for that, I have the same sensitivity, so, its all in the name, you know 🤪🤣

    Oh no! Monopodial orchids are so weird but at least it's vigorous enough to make a keiki! Interesting that you use the ointment on plants as well.
    The Pinocchios look so good!
    The cernua though... UFF. Naughty Íris! I hope it will bounce back soon! I have seen that Schwerter has a cernua on sale as well. I've been thinking about giving them a try again...

    • @FernandaNascimentoOrchids
      @FernandaNascimentoOrchids  8 месяцев назад

      Cernua is the least demanding of the Sophronitis so, you may succeed if you try again. It was painful to lose my cernua especially because when I bought it it was not a good plant but it always did well under my care and It was already a very nice clump. It was special to me but we have to move on and start again.
      As for the Angraecum sesquipedale I have bad news. I had to toss it because it lost some leaves with same issue. The keiki also collapsed. Then I noticed that the lower part of the stem was turning brown. Turns out, it was rotting. Not at the base but slightly further up where the stem was thinner. Looking back, I think it may have been damaged by the same gusts of wind that broke my Dendrobium victoria reginae. They were next to each other, one in front of the other. Also the Angraecum had that part of the stem that had always been thinner, too thin for the top heavy part and could not cope. I should've staked it but who would've thought?

      Hi Justin, good morning. Yes, the cernua situation was very difficult to bear because it was looking amazing. Also because when I bought it 4 years ago it was not a good plant, but it responded very well and became a lovely plant. My other dogs never harmed any plants (although they would dig and make holes before I enclosed most of the garden) but Iris loves to chew anything green 😂

    Yeah puppies can be a bit destructive... We've lost a few shirts and hats due to Sammy.
    Everything else looks good except your poor cernua.

    • @FernandaNascimentoOrchids
      @FernandaNascimentoOrchids  8 месяцев назад

      Iris, the new puppy is being a handfull with my plants which was news to me. None of my previous dogs ever showed interest in my plants. Of course, they chewed and damaged other things but not plants. They preferred to dig holes on the ground and that is why most of the garden is fenced. However, Iris likes to chew on anything green. Succulents in pots have been the main victims but she is already understanding that they are a nono and instead she grabs any stone, dead leaf or bark from the floor or from the pots and likes to chew them. And if I let her go to the lawn she eats it like a goat 😅😅
