- We’ve covered farm to table on “Eat Like a Local”, so now in this episode we’re talking boat to table! Host Chris Shepherd headed to the coast to learn how blue crabs make it from our local waterways to our local restaurants.
Chris met up with Captain Fred McBride, a classically trained musician who gave up teaching music to HISD students to pursue his passion - fishing.

Coolest food show around
How did you get the license? I've been a commercial fisherman in Baytown for 30 years.
Freshest you can get locally unlest, you can go catch them yourself.
I may be missing but Houston looks like a tremendous town to live in but I wont due to the politics of Texas.
Great God is still creating Men of God🕯🕯🕯
Good reporting looking good.
Where can we buy the crabs? What restaurant?
Captain Fred supplies several restaurants including Josephine's, Captain Crawfish, Bludorn and Crawfish and Noodles - what crabs/fish he supplies to the restaurants depends on the season.
