I'm late to the party and just picked up this game. Already got killed twice by Buffalo's . Am I mad? Hell no. It was awesome. The very 1st time I was just chatting with my buddy and all of a sudden he starts saying OMG, OMG and out of nowhere BLAM!!! lol I went back for a revenge kill as I at least got a couple shots to the head the 1st time around before I became grounded hunter meat lol the 2nd try I hear a bunch of rumbling and find myself helplessly at the mercy of the Buffalo herd and yes , once again R.I.P. lol Anyways, if you read this, tyvm for this video. Sincerely Not the best hunter lol (new sub)
Magic 😂. I played the savanna for the first time a few days ago and I was following some lion tracks and then all the sudden it came out of the grass right in front of me and destroyed me
only had this game about a day, and found that setting up the blind on Balmont Lake and getting there for 5AM, you can easily get the money and experience back, I found it to be a great place to get deer and the occasional bear, still though I've not hit a wabbit or a bird lol
I know often of times it's hard to find long range shots to take multiple animals from a herd. I've found it helps a lot to call them in close and taking one with a bow, so they don't fully spook and just trot away instead of running, then taking another with a rifle.
Very good tips, bud! The blind fix wasn't a day to early, they finally fill a puprose. 1700 credits for the ground blinds, and 2100 for the stands are, as you said, quite steep early game, but will be a nice xp boost and pretty much affordable once 20+ or maybe 30+

Hey! You unlock all the gear by gaining levels and then purchasing it in the in game store with game credits. The wind is indicated in the bottom right corner
Not sure I'd agree on hunting stands just because typically you aren't going to get any value out of them until much later. In the time it takes to spot an animal from a stand, you could have probably stalked two or three and the fact that it is stationary means hunter pressure affects it more adversely than the player stalking around does. They can be solid until you get to level 20+ just because before then you don't have access to the perks that make you able to vanish into shrubbery, but it is still a hard sell.

Only started playing a few days ago and my first kill was a moose with my starter weapon and sight with hollow point ammo hit a vital organ and he didn't run far before diying. I ran past him and he didn't spook, i wasn't looking for him and since then i haven't even seen another animal.

It has really helped me up my hunting game. I have also got one of my friends interested in it and we play multipalyer. One question tho when an animal calls out how can we tell 1 how close we the animal or pray is to us and 2 when they call out should we give a call straight back?
Right on my friend! Love the nickname Lol. When you get a call there will be little brackets that will indicate the rough direction of the call. The bigger the brackets the closer the animal until u dont see them at all. Then the animal is almost ontop of you. I would get hidden and then use your caller. 🍻

Just a question about the DLCs . I bought the bow and 22 package. It downloaded but I cant find where they are at. I am on level 36 and I am using a PX4 system. Hopefully you can help. Enjoying your channel and enthusiasm. Randy
Simeon Elkjær its the compound bow with the 5 pin sight. Youll start with the single pin and youll have to earn archery score to unlock the rest. If your on pc you can use the xbow, if you picked up that doc, which is alot easier to learn.
im on pc and started like 3 weeks ago, so dont know much about the game, doc ? . my issue with the bearclaw or razorback is their starter aim, i cant seem to find out where to aim, pr distance :P .
Is there a way to know where the sound of an animal is when you hear him walking? I look around in a circle but can't tell where the hell it is coming from. I'm not talking about the growl!

I'm confused..I'm just starting out..have been to the range and have high scores..at multiple ranges..I've made what I know were good shots..tracked and tracked couldn't find..but I had the most ridiculous shot tonight..thought it was a lung shot..when I found it ......it was an ear shot..like a piercing. Only went about 75 yards..why would this happen
That's hunting pressure my friend. The only way to get rid of it is to place it somewhere else. It doesnt wear off with time sadly. Go hunt another area and it will be gone before you know it 🍻

2:45 - What is the recoil on that 7mm!?!?! Either they nerfed it since 2018 or there are skills / perks I haven't unlocked yet. My gun is almost pointing toward the sky after a shot with the 7mm!

cant figure out what arrows to use XD on the xbow, got most of thje arrow types available :P .
never mind asked ur discord ^^. was buying arrows not bolt. Il blame it on being almost 4 AM XD
Simeon you need to use the bolts. There are 3 different type if arrows for the bows and three different type of bolts for the xbow.

What kind of weapon are you using?
Do the mobile blinds you set up yourself give the same visibility? I just started and don't wanna dish out the cash for those ones.
Sadly the mobile blinds are a bit broken. They dont work as well as the hunting stands you pay in game to set up.
What outpost is that? How did you get inside and ehat outfit are you wearing? Or is that pc only?

I'm not sure an actual distance really. If it's a flesh wound and depending on the animal they can stop bleeding. Vitals they will always drop

Look for ponds or gatherings of water you’ll often find a decent amount but you can’t just run around the map it’s a slow game lol

There are perks and skills that help with the recoil. Makes a very big difference
