I remember when I couldn't find any diamonds when I first started playing the game it's keep on shooting animals and look everywhere it is impossible for there not to be a diamond on your map there is most likely multiple diamonds on your Maps you just have to find them look in the places that you don't usually look

Diamond water buffalo is probably the one I want the most (aside from Cape Buffalo). I just bought Parque, and the first buffalo I saw was a lvl 8. I didn't get to see if it was daimond though, I got a bad shot off and it died in a spot I couldn't get to.
Billbert Buzzums I didn’t even know 8’s could make diamond but my tip to find one is to set it to there drink time and walk along the side of the map with all the water u find so manny buffs
I got a Diamond Blacktail on the second day of playing on PS4 version, probably 8 hours of playtime. I had about 400h experience on the PC version beforehand. So beginners should always focus on improving their playstyle rather than blaming the map on not having any diamonds. There always is but most people simply spook them without knowing or don't play attention to correct things while navigating the map. Great video Flint. Nice tips
Hey flinter, I am proud to say that I just got my first ever diamond, a 14 point black tail. Killed him instantly on a lung shot. I just wanted to say that you are so right about them just sitting there waiting for you to find them and that they come out of nowhere. I was just massacring other black tail at balmont lake when I spotted him drinking in a fairly large herd with ANOTHER diamond that I sadly didn’t get. But seriously though thank you for the helpful guid I can not tell you how exited I am right now.

No kidding about the persistence part. I was obsessing _hard_ about that last mission in Parque Fernando, the worst mission in the entire game. I would not even open that map in multiplayer, because I was afraid one of my friends would ruin one of those coveted diamonds I still needed for that horrible mission while messing around. And one of the last holdouts was that damned puma. By that point I had already commited a massive _genocide_ among the puma population with many, many golden ones, but no diamond. I'd kill mythical pumas simply out of spite for them not being legendary. And then came one awesome night during which I got no less than _six_ diamond pumas, one of them even being an albino. Persistence pays, folks.
@@billbertbuzzums8166 Ouch! That hurts. For me the Ogrish one only made gold. I did not even do anything wrong. His trophy rating was just for some reason about 3 points lower than those of his peers. At least you have infinite tries in Parque Fernando. The puma hunt was such a big deal for me not the least because I had messed up a diamond puma early on in that mission. It was night, both ingame and in RL, and tired old me only realised during the harvest that I had used the wrong gun. That was soul-crushing.
hahha Parque Fernando. Im currently grinding red deer diamond in parque because i love the animal. killed 50 red deers in 5 days and got a steam achievement in the process LOL! Still no diamond though..
@@AngelGonzalez-wn8ws I mean the one where you have to hunt a diamond of every species for the tourist hut. I got lucky quickly with red deer, but some of the other ones were a royal pain, and I could swear the pumas were openly mocking me seeing how often they would be mythical but not legendary.
I don't use sprint and load but just take the ammo out of my gun and then put it back in. This is often faster than reload speed too so u can use it if your using a 7mm or something
I've been playing this game for three weeks now and I shot my first diamond this afternoon! I was just driving around on Vurhonga Savanna at night. I spooked a herd of Wildebeast and Cape Buffalo's. Managed to shoot one Wildebeast and two Buffalo's. Got killed by a third Buffalo lol. When I returned to harvest, the Wildebeast was a diamond :). Guess you gotta be lucky two.

I’m just gonna say check your wind and make sure your sound has no red bars, and keep vis below oval, that’s all the advice I can give, and I am pretty ok at sneaking up on zones in the game.
Pro tip have sound at 2 bars max 99& percent of the time they do not hear me also most animals won’t hear shots from 200 yards out as well I believe you can run but once animals are in a 200 yard distance they will hear you.
i've been playing for 40 hours and have yet to SEE a diamond, much less bag one. i've gotten numerous golds but so far, no diamonds. eh. someday. thanks for your tips, flinter. i'll continue to follow your advice here and see if i can finally nab one.

Do you concern yourself with a lighter load-out and being able to sneak a little easier or is the difference negligible? On that same note, how do you avoid spooking animals when running toward their zones? How do you know when to stop running?
Someone (flinter, scarecrow, lady or dd33, don't remember who) said that when they're approaching an animal or zone that they run to 150, walk to 100, crouch to like 80 and crawl after that. I can't say for sure that this is true but I'm pretty sure this is what one of the youtubers have said at one point. (Also this is in meters)
You dont know what you are looking at when you see it. That is most likely the reason why you dont have more cause you are not paying attention, or you shoot wrong or with wrong gun or with wrong ammo or just shoot too few animals. Know your guns and know how males usually stand at a zone. Look at females where they are standing, if a bunch for no reason are standing in formation, most likely they are hiding a male.
"Some days i find several diamonds, some days i dont find anything." Well and then there is a majority of people which after hundreds of hours have none diamonds :D
My hubby has played this game for over 500h and no diamonds yet. I always try to give him advice which he finds super annoying so he made me download the game. My experience went like this 2 min into the game: “what button do I push to shoot the gun?” 10 min into game: “I got the diamond!” Now I’m stuck sleeping on the couch…. 🙁

Hopefully, this works for me, I have played 225 hours of COTW so far and have only been able to kill 'mission' diamonds as opposed to 'naturally occurring' diamonds. :/ Edit: after posting this comment, a couple of hours later I managed to score a diamond red deer in parque fernando, thank you Flinter!!
I find a good way to unboring cotw sometimes is to hunt with weapons I don’t usually hunt with, like only shotguns, muskets, or bows, it’s a nice challenge.
Can confirm weight and trophy rating in the diamond bubble are not enough...at least all the time. I'm guessing the level of the animal must be a factor. After harvesting a blacktail and a black bear, both within the bubble via tracks and spotting. They each weighed and scored in numbers far lower than I would have ever taken the shot for...aside from removing them for Diamond respawn. So not a total loss. Both were gold and both were medium.
Great tutorial video nice insight. I was spamming with múltiple (the máximum) number of tents clóse - but not so close- in open and need zones rotating the hunting pressure. Lot of game gained but none diamonds
My first non-duck diamond was an orange water buffalo that literally spawned outside an outpost I just unlocked on parque. I had to run in to get a suitable gun as I was grinding axis deer and got a double lung on the trot at about 180 metres. Felt good but not really deserved..
I got one diamond before when I was a beginner it was a bow hunt for a (what I thought was decent) decent black tail (mind you I could barely kill anything with rifles so I was horrible probably like level 10) and I payed down and called it and called it and then around 70 yards o thought it was close enough to shoot so I stood up and he became alert and then shot him and dropped him in his tracks
Got 20 in one day! I figured out that the easy ones are duck and rabbet. shoot the rabbet level 2 male in the hart while facing you and no other organs and that is a diamond. shoot the duck just between his legs about a 1cm or 2 while he is facing you from bottom and that is a diamond. I have a elk, 2 bear fox coyote and moose. in total 26 sins last checked
I’m pretty sure you just find more when you have played the game for longer. I started the game and got excited of I got a gold but know I have like 5 diamonds after I’ve played for longer.
to a degree you do, but its often lower level maps that have some of the best spawns. Just starting out, especially not knowing how parts of the game work, its easy to mess up the diamonds when you come across those spawns
i was playing earlier and have a level 9 legendary bear that had the trophy rating of a diamond but it was gold because my consec was at 0 i was so maddd

12:12 thats exactly how I've gotten like half of my diamonds, I love hunting level 1 to 15 severs that are unexplored

Look wind if wind is from behind of you then normal, you must use difrent direction to sneak animal or some animal smell.
