They will essentially have to sweep the Mets to give themselves the best shot and probably will need to win 2 of 3 vs KC to have a good chance. If Mets win 1 game vs Braves, it could be wrap unless the D Backs implode in the last few games, but the Mets control their own destiny and the Braves with this inconsistent bunch are not likey to sweep a hot Mets team. The Brewers are pretty much out for the 2 seed and will just rest their guys the last 3 games and the Mets will probably roll them as Brewers have nothing to play for being 4 games out of the 2 seed with 6 to go and no way the Dodgers and Phils lose grip of the 2 seed between them. So if the Braves have to rely on the Brewers for help, I doubt it will happen as they rest up for the 1st round to set their rotation and give some guys a brief rest.
Unfortunately with the way both teams have been playing w might be lucky to win one of them. Our offense can't be trusted to have 3 straight good games. Let alone carry it on against the Royals.
Good evening Jake and Grant!! A roller coaster ride today but Braves win to take the series . And we surely needed it f sad once those Mets won 3-4 games with Philly. That means we still trail Mets by 3 games for a wildcard spot. To have realistic chance, we need to sweep Mets this week. We can do it!!! But will have to play our A game.
I truly think it might be too little too late, I just don't see this team making the playoffs, the losses that should've been wins will come back to haunt them this week, mark the tombstones everyone this season for the Braves will end this week, I don't see the Dbacks imploding and the Mets know how to win when it matters, also sad that we won't get to see this rotation in the playoffs, Fried and Morton could very well be pitching their final games in a Braves uniform this week, hopefully and this is just my opinion Snitker for the good of the organization will officially step aside at season's end
@@cazhgacel Not sure what LOB is? But regardless, there's no point of him going anywhere, as he can easily be a bench player at a $2mil salary if they were able to find someone else to play the position. I still maintain that Dylan Lee is underrated. I am blaming snitker 100% for being greedy with the bullpen and making him go back out there. You have an off day tomorrow and you pull that, just frustrating. The adrenaline you get from coming in with runners on and no outs is gone after that inning.
The problem was Jimenez was unavailable, thus you have to use some you most reliable relievers beyond him. And considering that Lee has been used in 17 multi-inning situations this year, it's nothing he hasn't done on a regular basis as 33% of all his outing this year have been multiple inning instances.

Hey guys, Mets not only without Lindor, but without McNeil (league batting champion last year) and have been without Senga all year. Their pitching staff have been 3's through 5's all year. They have not had a legit #1 or 2 man. The rest of them have simply over performed by luck. Cohen and Stearns are horrible.

Will be surprised if the Braves don't get swept by the Mets, unless the offense heats up.
The Braves offense has produced a 108 wRC+ in September, and over the last 2 weeks it's been a 128 wRC+, so I'd say their offense has heated up.
