I personally think helping Ukraine is directly in America’s interests, since Ruzzia has basically been in an undeclared war on us since the mid-2000s. However, the way Biden went about it is moronic. I personally think helping Ukraine is directly in America’s interests, since Ruzzia has basically been in an undeclared war on us since the mid-2000s. However, the way Biden went about it is moronic. He slow-rolled aid and refused to provide offensive weapons for nearly a year, while Ukraine actually had a pretty good shot at winning outright. By the time he provided useful stuff, the Ruzzians had been able to fortify their positions and conscript 400,000 bullet sponges. Biden claimed to be afraid of “escalation,” but since no one rational believes Putin’s nonsense, it’s obvious that Biden just has a pathological aversion to winning, and thinks he can solve everything diplomatically. Nothing wrong with diplomacy, but only if it’s from a position of strength, backed up by a willingness to call our enemy’s bluff and assert our position on top of the food chain with extreme violence if pushed. Biden, however, likes to make unilateral concessions before negotiating, under the delusion that our enemies will see it as anything but weakness. When Putin was thinking of invading, Biden should have announced his intention to send 3 Army division and some fighter wings to Poland, and refused to say how they were going to be used. Ruzzia would have complained, but never would have invaded.
