I found a 518 Super 8 cam in our old garage, thanks for this video! I guessed it was going to get expensive haha

Do i need the light meter batteries for the auto exposure function work while filming?
I believe it will need that to function but never tested without

I got one of these but trying to fix the zoom. It worked for a second but then stopped. How would I go about fixing that?
You can send it to a tech if you want the auto zoom to work but mine didn't work either and I found manually zooming to be perfectly fine

A fixed the zoom on this camera. I had to take the bottom battery cover of. Sand the little notch that touches the battery. After doing this the zoom works fine again.After all these years that little pin gets corroded.
Wait so I can only make one 3 min film and then have to buy new one for new film ?
Just buy new film!
Where do u find film?
I usually buy from BH
eBay, the film companies themselves, Pro8mm, Spectra Film, and many more.
How many films can I take with this
As many rolls as possible!
