I feel like Shien became everyone's wingman especially during the 3D debuts. He's at almost every single one and he makes his fellow Holostars do YABAI poses to make the fans happy. Or, in the case of Izuru and Miyabi, super adorable poses to give us all diabetes. Shien would be a great manager/director one day! Oga is gacha fail but he's also into model building and has designed and made his own games. Like he's working on making a horror video game and even designed a game based off a popular board game in Japan. The guy is incredibly talented and he surprises me with what he can do. Roberu went from "docile" to extremely extroverted and outgoing, probably the most outgoing out of all of the Cover talents other than maybe Fubuki, Ollie or Iofi. Like, this guy interviewed his lower half and is able to just talk about whatever for hours. Seriously, it's crazy how much he's changed, although you can hear his current personality break through a few times in his debut stream. His laugh is also the most infectious out of everyone. Astel's singing has only improved from the beginning. His unarchived karaokes easily pull in 1500+ viewers or more because they are that incredible. I hate when I miss them but I always click on one when he's doing one because he goes all out. Temma and Aruran have become the best at the overseas outreach. Most of the boys have decent English and can somewhat read and interact with English viewers, but Temma and Aruran are actively trying to learn and understand their foreign audience through memes, pop culture and just general conversation. It's why Temma quickly became one of my favorites after being my least favorite for a while. Seeing him work hard, take notes and then use his English in subsequent streams was amazing. Aruran makes sense since he's been a meme king from the beginning but Temma jumping into English as hard and fast as he did was a surprise. It's amazing to see how far our boys have come!
Everyone really has come a long way! Shien really brings out his inner producer (ShiePi) when anyone has their 3d debuts and I have seen some of Oga's game making streams (its interesting what goes through his head when making them!) Roberu will always be Roberu whether he's docile or not😂 and Astel can really be an amazing idol when he's not being kusogaki lol (really see his idolness(?) As a male viewer, I’m honestly so proud that our Holostars bros have come so far. Since the diversification of viewers happened, and it didn’t stagnant at the toxic idol culture viewers (i.e. Male and Female idols should “stay pure” and not interact with the opposite gender), Holostars really have more breathing room now. Like Miyabi once shared, the first two gens weren’t doing the best starting out, and there were times when the anxiety crushed them pretty hard. Therefore since the outbreak of Roberu’s #WinningSon moment, I’m really glad more of them have been exposed to the Vtuber watching community. I myself am more interested in female vtubers, but I can say without a doubt that Holostars are now shining brighter than ever. Appreciate the clips Setsumi, keep it up!

Here’s just some info for some questions I’ve been seeing in the comments (I may add more info if any more questions come up!) -The song Izuru’s singing is ‘Kono mama kimi dake wo ubaisaritai’ and it’s the first song he sings in his debut stream (1:01:57) -The song Rikka’s singing is ‘Hello/How are you’ and it’s the second song in his debut stream (44:40) -A lot of people have asked why Kira or Kaoru haven't been added in the video and there are a few reasons (Kaoru only has 2 months worth of content which is difficult to work with and Suzaku content is very difficult to find) Mainly it's because I already had trouble trying to pick what videos showcased the boys the best (in my perspective) + translating & editing and i wanted to showcase the current Holostars we have (though, i wouldn't be against making a similar video with Kira, Suzaku and Kaoru, would you guys want to see that?)
It's really funny to me how much these guys have grown into the kind of idols (rip yagoo) they want to be. A year ago I was happy just ocassionally listening to Izuru, not really understanding what Holostars was or Japanese, now I'm a usual viewer of SunTempo and can read/understand a lot more of the language. I love everyone in Holostars, Miyabi and his calm streams that ocassionally make me wonder how he can say some questionable things without breaking tone, Rikka's great gaming skills along with his singing (especially when he makes up lyrics to mess around), Arupapa's ability to acknowledge all kinds of viewers in his streams, Shien and his constant abuse of his echo and lack of shame, Oga's art and design abilities, every single member of Holostars have something that makes them so special and when they get together, you see just how much they've grown as a unit.
I can't say that i know much about the bois since i started to know them during their 1st anniversary last year, but based on my observation SunTemPo first debut and now are really complete 360 different compared to 1st Gen(except izuru lol) and MaFia. Miyabi still that calm guy but he's more open than before(and the have less stamina since Ring fit collab with roberu), Aruran's still the shitposter except he's become quite minecraft addict, Rikkun still the cool holoroid but quite an airhead in various way. Izuru...err well can't say he's 360 changed but i can see difference of him back early year compared to now. For MaFia, well Shien's hasn't changed that much except last year i thought he's just cool guy and the 2nd Takahiro Sakurai.Now he's more of babu jackal.Oga's the same except his gacha luck is literal pain SunTemPo?
