As a dude who watches holostars more than hololive, these homies give off chill brotherly vibes more than the ordinary male idol one. Rikka is probably the closest one to a "normal idol" but he's one hell of a singer, gutarist, and his synergy with Matsuri crazily good too.
I sub to all Holostar member from 1 to 3 gen. While the Hololive girls getting all the attention, the boys are not getting the recognition they deserve, i might as well support all of them hoping one day they achieve attention like the girls.
Dude not gonna lie I feel like I enjoy their humor better just by seeing this much, but I am not big-brained enough to watch them live without the ability to have proper subtitles - hopefully we get holostars EN at some point here

I’ll be honest, I was kinda avoiding Holostars since I’m not too into the whole male vtuber thing, but this has gotten me interested because they seem like a lot of fun and not some e-boys. But I guess that makes sense since Hololive isn’t like most of the e-girls that live stream either
If you want to get into more male vtubers, Nijisanji has some really good ones. Kanae is my personal favorite since he's a massive troll and is very good at games.
Man, I had the same thoughts as you, until I actually watched some male Vtubers. Though I mostly watch Nijisanji 'cause they have a lot more translated clips that holostars. For Nijisanji, I highly recommend Chaika, he's very chaotic, and just to tell you how much chaos she has, he's one of the few males to counter Matsuri's attacks. There's also Yashiro, that dude also has some pretty nice clips around here, such as him dying inside from others shenanigans. And lastly, Maimoto, just watch his collab with Ui and Subaru trying out Yumenographia. You'll be surprised by how much of an, uh, degenerate he is(in a good way).

Tsukishita Kaoru of Holostars terminated its contract with Cover Corp. due to personal issues. Effective July 28, 2020 (Japan time). Oga did an unplanned stream where he discusses the issue, there was no bad blood between the management and Kaoru, he was also in perfect health according to him (based of from people's translations) so rest assured. This was quite sudden and unfortunate so all we can do now is respect his decisions and Move on. Thank you Kaoru for everything.

Before that, they called themselves "TwoNero" and such lmao. - Rikka (can also be called Rikkun, he doesn't like being called Rikka-san) and Izuru are in one unit, RIZNote. Often sings together. Look at their heavenly cover songs! - Rikka often collabs (mostly sings) with Matsuri. They're called Matsurikka. A very fun and amazing duo. Will have a 3D collab tomorrow! A little update for the people who have just watched this but one of the TriNero, Tsukishita Kaoru retired today. It's really sad we won't see him again but that's that, may his Beyblade ASMR lives on.
I think only Kira really qualifies. He even does the voice. Kaoru is a pretty normal dude all things considered, it's just his model that's misleading.

- Started Iron Man RTA in Minecraft. Aruran beat his time and Fubuki is joining in the fun as well.
- A bit addicted to RTA ever since Iron Man RTA. Did "dating Kaoru RTA" video on twitter (where he played a video Kaoru tweeted and replied to it, basically). Apparently he drank a bit that night and he kinda regretted it the next day lmao.
Kira actually finished getting over it within the 18min mark (they started 2mins after they started turned on the stream)
