You know, this is crazy convoluted buuuut I feel like there are elements that could make for a good story...also how the heck was this not an AQUAMAN story?? That would've made more sense.
In the early 1990s, there was a live action _Superboy_ TV show, with Clark being in college. They didn't use a lot of major villains, and one recurring character was a Vampire Prince, Derreck, who was an anti-hero, and managed in one episode when his medicine was taken, to bite Superboy, turning him into a "Vamp of Steel." Superboy defeated him, and his "Father" by *welding a cross from iron beams.* And yes, the dad was an unseen "Count Dracula". Because 90s TV....and comics.
The Phantom Stranger has one consistent power - his hat is indestructible. My headcanon insists that the guy under the hat is just a convenient warm body and the hat is actually in charge. Kind of a Doctor Fate's helmet thing going on, only much more stylish. Then again, I still have traumatic flashbacks to watching too much Lidsville as a kid so I may be hat-sensitive.
"Hmmm... so Superman, Bruce Wayne and The Phantom Stranger all turn up on our isolated oil tanker in the middle of the ocean with no way for anyone else to get here, Wayne and Superman disappear for a while, and then _suddenly_ Batman is _conveniently_ here too..." "It does seem a little _too_ convenient..." "Y'know, I think I've figured out Batman's secret identity!" "Are you thinking what I'm thinking...?" Great channel, Sasha. Selective amnesia--I don't remember the Vampire of Steel story, but vividly recall the one in which Ollie Queen is found out to be Batman. I remember he basically removed his utility built and used every single thing in it at once as a combat move, he just kind of whips it. This just seems irresponsible and possibly counterproductive. I remember Ollie's thought bubble, something like, "I bet Batman never used his utility built like this!" I actually remember it. I'm a grown man. I'm a grown ass man. My God. I've wasted my life.

I bought this issue off the rack as a little kid and found it super confusing (no pun intended). I'm glad to find out as an AARP-eligible man that it wasn't because I was too young or just dumb. But, it did instill in me a lifelong love of the Phantom Stranger's look.
Two things that need to be in more comics, Vampires and Sassy Superman. Not the traditional version of Vampires (fangs and such), but creative, imaginative ones, since the man of steel might be a little too much for those cursed canines. I just decided to rewatch this video, cuz I rewatched The Shark videos on here & the older one you reference this video, and I’m so glad I did-I forgot how good & funny this video was😂😂 Also I have a nail polish color very similar to one Sasha’s wearing in this video💙 which is making me want to paint my nails that color next🤔

They did revisit a vampire Superman story in the mid-90s, in a story written by John Byrne. Cliff's notes: basically, there was a vampire going around biting everyone (and ANNOYINGLY saying "delectable" every time he drank someone's blood). Superman chased him down, he put Superman in a trance (because, you know, magic 😠), and when he tried to bite Superman, OOPS!, Superman's powers come from solar energy stored in his cells, so the vampire yeets himself trying to drain Superman. And everyone was happy we didn't have to hear that jackass say "delectable" again. The end. By that time, honestly, John Byrne's work, which was so wonderful on the 1986 "Man of Steel" reboot, had started to become...painfully lame. I did love his reboot of Wonder Woman, both for the respect he paid to her, and for introducing Cassie Sandsmark (Wonder Girl), but his stuff just started getting moldy in general, and the Superman vampire story was one of them (along with ANY story he did with the Queen of Hearts). Check it out.

So this way Bruce can sit inside the cabin and yell out to the pilot that "There's something on the wing of the plane." I think these two men can agree, it's the little things that get you through the day.
Wow they tried again using vampires? DC sure love its children of the night. They try and feature my favorite thing everywhere. Like I’m surprised you didn’t mentioned the famous Batman vs Dracula comic and that whole Batman turns into a vampire alternative universe plot or batwoman becoming one in the new 52.
Love the idea of superman as a vampire I have been toying with the idea for more than a decade I've seen a few bits of vampirism in superman I'm also working on my own superman vampire thing which fans from the 70's-80's will love as well as today's youth providing they have a love for nostalgia and knowledge of those times superhero vampire wise 😝

I don't really buy the vampire thing as relates to Kal-El. I've read ALL the Vampire stories and they move fast but NOT Superman fast. Magic or not Superman can exceed the speed of light (186,000 miles per second).
yo elseworld needs to do a reboot of this story where its set in the gotham by gaslight world where 1800's batman must stop a vampire superman in a dracula inspired story
The ellipsis is supposed to represent an omission of words. It is only used as a pause because mag writers & letterers gave up on dashes. Also, an ellipsis can be either three, or, five dots. I love the old comics. Back-up stories are great. The Phantom Stranger is an awesome superhero, and, I hope he turns up more often. I know this video is a year old, but, it was at the top of my feed.
Anyone else catch that panel at 7:20 where Bruce talks about "ravaging old Earth for mankind's energy needs?" Had NO idea that the environmental wackos had gotten that deep into the industry that early. Then again, kinda goes with the lame plot. Cover bait indeed!
