Who is everyone talking about off roading, no one ever takes a car off road

No one’s taking that vehicle off-road so the 20s are fine.

Two things. They’re hardly ever in stock and will need to be special ordered and second the ride is very harsh

Mmm yes because 20” wheels on low profile tires are the first thing I think of when I hear “off roader”

I went from a cx-5 to a cx-50 recently and I really liked the cx-50 more with the more modern interior. I bought the low end select trim so I have smaller rims with more tire sidewall and I could not find a difference in ride quality to the cx-5. I do understand the touch points and luxury feel in the cx-5 but I find that is the first thing you get over. The only thing in the cx -50 I would change was to move the infotainment screen closer so the touch screen in CarPlay can be used more but. I will happily take the 50 over the 5 any day. It is also much bigger in the second row and cargo area compared to the 5 as well.

The pot holes are getting bigger and the politicians wallets are also getting bigger from not repairing the roads

Thanks for the video, I always enjoy your content. I wish there was more comparison videos with the 2023 cx50 vs 2024 cx50.
I hope they improved the front seats. The 2023 CX 50 seems inconsistent when it came to the front seats. I tried 4 different 2023 Cx50 vehicles in 4 different dealerships.
And in 2 of the 4 the front drivers seat had an uncomfortable bulge in the middle. While the other 2 did not.
Also You mentioned that you wish the meridian had the luxury interior
The 3 meridian editions I drove did have the premium package trims. I hope they haven’t changed that in the 2024.
Also the infotainment is touchscreen using Apple Carplay when in park, but you can change that in the settings so the Apple CarPlay touchscreen can be active at all times.

The CX-5 has a much better interior than the CX-50. In fact, I think that there are too many compromises with the CX-50. Mazda clearly spent more time and money on the CX-5.

  • @bradh6185
    @bradh6185 7 месяцев назад

The steering is way too slow. Mazda did some overthinking on this. I have had close calls because of slow steering, nearly getting into a guardrail on a recent Subaru test drive because of it. Not once did I ever have a close call in my Ford Fusion because of the fast steering.

  • @davidzavala337

If I became the CEO of Mazda, the first thing I would do is to fire whoever made the decision to add such large 20" wheels to a "off road" trim.
    2. Add independent rear suspension
    3. Make al 30, 50, 90 offroad trims and looks (cx90 is far from off road)
    4. All cx 3, 5, 9 city style, so for those bog wheel lover those would be your take.
    5. Bring a cx-70 with a inline 6, 17 inch all terrain tires, and with no third seat.

    • @gartblaum

The 50 would’ve been a starting vehicle at 35k 😂 which is why it’s so cheap
The new CX 70 will be the X5 version. No all terrain tires
The Mazda lineup is the BMW just cheaper
