    Nout amiss with fader-monkeys getting points. It's NOT a normal job - round the clock. He's noble.

    How many times does this guy have to say he’s an engineer and you still introduce him as a producer…

      He’s a humble audio mechanic who likes to keep things sounding classic and has no interest in using modern tools.

    It would be fun to record with Steve and demand that he compress the guitars and every drum. You know…cause he’s not a producer

      He’s always said it’s your album. Not his problem.

    I'd love to ask him if he would take points on a record if that money didn't come out of the band's share, but came directly from the label...

    • @Laughingmonkeymusic
      @Laughingmonkeymusic  2 года назад +1

      Its still the same … the points should go to the artist

    • @matteframe

      @@Laughingmonkeymusic except he would be taking a piece of the label's profit, not the band's share. The label is taking their piece no matter what. The band is never getting what the label isn't contractually obliged to pay them. So if the label wants to pay an engineer or producer out of their share or potential profit, then why not... This might never happen but it's an interesting scenario in my mind.
