10:30 "Te no hira guru guru" is literally Tifa got Cloud in the palm of her hands. The meaning is something like she got Cloud eating out of her hand (figuratively).
Oh I did some research on that sentence actually and got the meaning of similarly to "someone who easily changes their stand on something", but yours fit the context better. Thanks for the correction!

Thanks for the translations! This was amazing to watch. Surbaru is great at reacting and commentary so it was a joy all the way through. Especially since she knows the original game which she references constantly. I also liked how she really got into the game and noticed the small details, like how Cloud's attitude completely changes around Tifa. It's adorable. Hopefully we'll get another Tifa focused Subaru video soon!

Subaru goes crazy at the end of the scene with Tifa, because Tifa tells Cloud "keep it a secret from Marle" about the date (just to address)...doesn't make much sense in English.
Ohh now that makes much more sense. I thought she said "marle isnt always right" meaning cloud isnt bad or something since marle treat him like she doesnt trust him, but I didnt understand why the suddenly zoom to tifas lips making the gesture of silence. It seems they screwed it up a lot in translations, taking away some more meaningful messages which is strange coming from a well known company like square enix. Its even worst in the spanish translation, many times the subtitles dont match at all with what the characters says in english
@@Agev_Cris Tifa actually wanted for Cloud to keep their date a secret from Marle.
In Japanese Marle doesn't say anything that she says in English. She basically recommends Cloud to treat Tifa well because she guesses that he's more than a friend for her.
I don't know how to say it in English, but she's literally treating Cloud like Tifa's first date and being like a strict parent who doesn't want Tifa to get hurt.
I understand Spanish and I translated the Japanese version...and I can tell you, watching playthoroughs of both, that the English localization is the worst between them, since every dialogue is manipulated and literally even changes the meaning and tone of what the characters are saying and expressing.
Example...
In the train graveyard, after Tifa sees Marlene and gets worried, in English, Cloud tells her "what was that about?", but in Japanese, he tells her, "Tifa, are you ok?"
Every dialogue in English has been translated like this and it sucks
@@laurajanco2i I see, that example is a drastic change even with the voice acting, japanese voice for cloud seems far superior, more gentle and sweet with tifa while the english one seem too monotonous for me.
I wonder if the spanish translation come from the japanese version or the english one, if is the first case then it will make sense the absurd disconnection between english and spanish in some parts, but it crosses my mind the thought that they just tried to simplify words and maybe time "keeping" the meaning, although this I dont like even if it keeps the meaning. For example when aerith gives her speach in what she called destiny crossroads she says "... they are like rain rolling off his back.." in regard of what the memories of what she called "the voices of the planet" are to sephiroth, while in spanish that got translated as "...hace oidos sordos" which is like "he turns a deaf ear" and it has the same meaning but it takes away a more expressive and rich way to say it. Now I dont know what she said there in japanese exactly, this game made me really desire to know japanese and not depend on translation.
What do you mean that you translated the japanese version? I will very much like a playthrough with japanese voices and accurate subtitles, didnt find any yet prob bcs is a big take
A lot of editing went into this video. Like the cutscenes being replaced with the english text, having subtitles for Subaru, and other small things.
