  • The Tragic Life Story Of Amy Winehouse
With a voice beyond her years, echoing the musical eras of the past, Amy Winehouse was a deep soulful siren in a sea of light frothy popstars. With a dark sultry voice that seemed to come from the very depths of her being, she eclipsed what had become the norm for female vocals and exploded onto the music scene less like a breath of fresh air and more like a firework.

she also had severe bulimia all her life which played a huge part in her death, her body was so fragile it couldn't take all the drugs and shut down. Bulimia is a serious mental and physical health issue and needs to be spoken about more, people think you can't die from it but the implications it brings can easily cause death.

@@talie3578 it's so sad also because it wasn't included in her cause of death. I never said Adele wasn’t talented, don’t put words in my mouth. Adele would have been successful anyway but Amy deserves credit (which Adele has given her) in terms of HOW BIG Adele has obviously gone. Back to Black came out in 2006, Adele had two records out in the 5 years following whereas Amy had none. The anticipation for Amy inevitably leaned towards Adele because Amy hadn’t put an album out. So Amy had already brought hype to UK artists while she was alive.

Amy was a friend of mine. Not a close friend mind you, but we talked quite a bit. I had approached her to do an interview and she had literally no interest, however she was more than willing to just talk as a person. She was sweet, she was funny, but she also was lonely. In my time with her she seemed to be a bit like a little kid alone at home waiting for their parent to come home; she’d get upset and concerned if I went too long without replying, assuming I abandoned her.
When I saw the things the press was saying about this woman I knew I was angry and heart broken. It was so one dimensional, so condescending, and so shitty as all of the papers just wanted to cover the same things. She deserved understanding and kindness as that’s what she brought to the table.

Catherine Vaz she was an alcoholic before she met blake and by the time she died she was sober from crack cocaine/heroin for years. the only thing in her system was lethal amounts of alcohol. Alcoholism can be just as devastating as opiate addiction. Amy was an addict before she met blake and the trauma in her childhood caused that. Blake was a piece of shit but amy was found comfort in dysfunction due to her father abandoning her, if her and blake didn’t get together, she would’ve found another ‘blake’. If it wasn't Blake would've been someone else. Sensitive souls like her are attracted to this type of abusive manipulators. Drugs and the rest was how she managed to cope with it all. As when you're trapped you can only cope.

Some other weird things about the 27 club is that many of the most famous members were left handed, and a white Bic lighter was found near them. A lot of the deaths have suspicious circumstances or unknown causes as well. So there's the outline of the conspiracy I guess.

All she wanted in life was to be a wife and mother. It's sad to say this because I love her so much but I somehow wish she never became as famous as she did, even if it means I wouldn't have heard of her. It was probably her dream to be able to perform at small jazz clubs/pubs whenever she wanted and to go back to a family at home. NEVER forget what the media did to this woman, and how no one would let it happen in 2019.
Rest in peace dahling ♥️ you're missed.

God I remember the way people used to talk about her. They were needlessly cruel to somebody who was clearly hurting. She was lost way too soon. I wish we could go back in time to save her. Think of all the amazing music that was lost with her. Truly a heartbreaking story.
