Beautiful🌹🌹
I think Franco Corelli was the best tenor ever . To me he is numero uno . Molto Grazie .
Che tono ricco, pieno, glorioso! Con passione ma mancava mai la dolcezza. Franco era grandissimo.
Corelli sings from his soul to your soul." Amazing"!
B
Si. Davvero!!!!!
This is really beyond belief! No tenor today comes anywhere close to Franco. He is a god. And Tebaldi a goddess! I swoon, I drown in their voices....
Oh that voice!!! It gets into your blood and never leaves...
Absolutely Glorious! There will never be another Corelli, He was God Given!
Purity of sound; excellence in performance
Superb artistry
Heart and soul given to his art
Sorrow at his passing
MHDSRIP
Il più grande tenore di sempre!!!
Un Corelli all'apice!
Pianeta inarrivabile. Grazie Maestro.
That distinctive Corelli emotional tenor voice combines so well with the great sopranos of his era. Simply glorious singing
Stunning. The most masculine tenor voice and looks to match it
della gloria promesa al vincitoooooooooooor!! unbelievable well sung
L'amore ti ha fato poeta!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎶🎹🎼👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
“El amor me hace poeta…” qué maravilla, Franco!!
1:31-1:39 pura estasi!!!! Inarrivabile! Mostruosamente sublime!
Impressionante!
Such a glorious performance was achieved by countless hours of endevour, and then some more. I am full of admiration by this achievement. It truly is wonderful
This is so beautiful and I just love Corelli singing it. One of the prettiest operas ever.
♥️ Divina voce
Superb! Two of the best singers ever!
Beautiful, his voice is beyond heavenly.
Beautiful opus ❤️. I love 🌷Tebaldi and Corelli 💐.
Voices like these sadly will not be in this world during our lifetime, the knowledge of how these voices were taught, trained , helped, is gone from the world, everything changes...
Meraviglioso,Sublime
OMG absolutely incredible
racheleleebe MUCHAS GRACIAS, MUY BUEN AUDIO. GRANDE, GRANDE FRANCO CORELLI IL MEGLIO DI TUTTI TENORE IN TUTTI
Franco was the most gifted natural tenor that ever lived. To compare any of today's tenor's as Voice3Critic said is a complete insult to the greatest tenor.
John Oregan How to you stack him up next to Caruso? I put the two of the them at a dead heat, personally.
@@borisvandruff7532 This is difficult (for me) to compare the two: two completely different voices. Corelli's tenor is very masculine.
@@judithbereczky4114 Caruso is considered the greatest tenor because he set the stage for modern singing. There are certain singers who changed the direction of the art form, and Caruso was one of them. I love Corelli, but things wouldn’t have changed much had he not been a singer. Caruso also never made a bad record, whereas Corelli was more variable.
The world without Corelli would be different, that's all.
Cantantes así ya no quedan...extraordinario
Franco is god.
Dont you see this
His voice is unique and when i hear compare someone whit corelli i go crazy.
No one never can compete whit corelli voice.
Maestro i live for hear your voice
Matej Knezevic Certainly the greatest tenor after Caruso’s death. And maybe even without that qualifier.
Only tenor who can compare whit corelli is lauri volpi.
Lauri volpi voice is mito!
Matej Knezevic He lived the parts through his singing. I totally agree with you. Second to none!!!
@@borisvandruff7532 I agree.
Incredibly!Caro Franco!
Corelli can sing better on stage than audio.Admire him so much!
Corelli , phenomenal
UN DIOS DEL BEL CANTO!!!!
divino .
I'm crying 😭😭😭
To compare any of the tenors of today to Corelli is not only ridiculous, it is absurd!
No one of the today's 'star' tenors has even 5% of any of the attributes of Corelli. Most of the so-called 'stars' of today might not have been admitted even to a provincial opera chorus in the time of Corelli - and very few of them might have been accepted as comprimarios or occasionally given a leading role.
Fortunately, Corelli left such a rich legacy of live recordings of most of his stage roles plus several films.
Utterly sublime!
Grand opera at it's best
Franco corelli was the king of tenors.
The one and only. Viva Corelli!
Aria sung by Maurizio, Count of Saxony. I adore this opus by Cilea.
Franco was the king of tenors. No discussion.
Extraordinary performance! Thank you, Roberta.
I heard him live over 40x-God, I know that sound
A singer whose live performances are always more exciting than the studio
I've never heard this particular performance though I probably listened to the broadcast back then he was in the zone that afternoon or night
Everlasting, undying Corelli !!
Superb
Top!!!❤️
Bravo!
Corelli... we can't praise him enough.
Grandissimo!!
Amazing! The best Tenor of XX century.
Wow, didn't the Met's walls come down or at least the glass elements shatter? 🤣 That's THE voice......
It's all true! I saw him with Gobbi and Kirsten in _Tosca_ in '73 and they left Lincoln Center a mass of smoking wreckage.
A pinnacle of opera singing. The Prince of Tenors.
STUNNING!
elke dag luisteren.
Si.....amor ti fa poeta,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Senza parole......!
mama miaaa
Those two A-flats are glorious! So rich, so full, so ringing with squillo!
Maravillosa Aria
And to think that some critics place the boring lifeless voice of Kaufmann and his artificial weird pianissimos with that of Corelli. Total nonsense and disrespect to a GIANT of tenors, my dear Franco. Makes me want to cry that there is NOT even one tenor nowadays that comes close to Corelli. Sad times we live on when it comes to opera and it's lack of GREAT tenors!
I totally agree with Voic3Critic...
Yes, yes, YES! Critics AND conductors have no idea what they are listening to today! If the top so-called tenors of today were living during the time of Corelli, Del Monaco, Di Stefano, Filippeschi, Bjorling, Wunderlich, they would be relegated to singing the minor roles....
Alexander Brown Or in the chorus, I've often thought.
***** :)
Voic3Critic God, I thought i was the only one who dared criticize Kaufmann
How many people have said when he did Siegmund he was as good as Vickers, when he did Tosca the next week he was as good as Corelli-clealry they never heard either
YES YES YES! FC was an extraordinary tenor, but sometimes he holds onto notes, which hold up the music drama. I still love listening to him!
(Cilea: Adriana Lecouvreur) Metropolitan Opera, February 9, 1963
"La dolcissima effige"
Franco Corelli
Renata Tebaldi
A ridicoliiiiii
💖🌹🌟
OMG
No one could EVER come close to Corelli in any of his roles! I like Kaufmann but his Maurizio at Covent Garden was very disappointing - the role is simply not for him. No one could and can match Corelli's ardore and splendore as Maurizio.
Stratosfera 🔝
❤️
🌹 ☀️🌷 🌟 🌻 💟
God-like.
A hurricane, not a man...
imcomparable
Please correct the pitch on this recording.
FRANCO CORELLI what else....scherzi a parte....IL PIÙ GRANDE DI TUTTI
Franco ist manchmal zu laut... Seine Stimme ist phantastisch
ESPLENDIDA ARIA
1 alien

2 aliens
Great voice. Too much 'emoting', though - spoils the sung line.
