The Bellsprout line deserves a branched evolution like Oddish has. It just needs more love. Things could even get really interesting with a new ability.
If you look at the beta designs, weepingbell had a branch evolution but it was scrapped at the past minute. It looks like a talller bellsprout with a different shaped head.

Pfffft, what! How? My Pokémon using Grass moves eat Rhyperiors for breakfast at the Battle Tower all the time! How does a Victreebel lose to the first stage? XD
He also sent a Jolteon out against either the same Rhyhorn or his Rhydon He used an Electric attack on it Red went all the way to the final gym leader and never learned that Ground is immune to Electric until that moment
So, basically, like the flytrap it was, victreebel would mercilessly prey on the weak in whatever undergrowth it could take root in. Bit ironic how well it did in the sun, I thought carnivorous plants had to eat because they aren't good at the whole photosynthesis thing.
Fun fact! Victreebel is based on the pitchers plant called Nepenthes. Carnivine is based on the venus fly trap. Nepenthes are an Asian Vining carnivorous plant that can grow both in low light shade deep in the jungle and in high light, it just depends on the species. On your comment about carnivorous plants not being good at photosynthesis and thats why they adapted to eat bugs. That is simply not true, Carnivorous plants became carnivorous because their soil was lacking in nutrition, not due to lack of light. Carnivorous plants get their nutrition from eating bugs, but they still need to use photosynthesis to get energy from the sun.
If you turn upside down any image that has Victreebel’s mouth in view, it will either look really silly or even more menacing than right side up. Depends on who you ask.

Overrated, Toxic isn't that great in Gen 1 because it turns to regular poison when they switch, while also making them immune to sleep and paralysis, which are far worse to get hit with. It works on the AI because it's lacking in the "I" department, but there's tons of ways to plow through in-game anyway.

I would like to mention that in gen 7 pu, victreebel also had the option of running poisinium z. Allowing it to win the 1v1 reliably vs opposing victreebel's. It probably shouldve been put on the list of items over lum berry. Air balloon was also a fine item if you already have a Z user, to surprise and therefore switch in better against mudsdale and torterra
Victreebel is not only the only OU Grass Type, but also the only OU Poison Type in Gen 1 competitive. Not counting niche Pokemon like Venasaur. Edit: I completely blanked Excegutor by accident as a grass type in OU. 😅
@@MorganKing95 Kinda. Yeah lol. Gengar wasn't that good in Gen 1 because of so many good psychic types (Exceggutor, Slowbro, Starmie, Jynx, and especially Alakazam, and even the niche Hypno.) and the fact that normal types, especially Tauros, usually had Earthquake to counter the poison type of Gengar. At least Victreebel is neutral to ground because of its part Grass type. 😂
@@articuno5527 Not that good? It was S- tier in 1997 and A tier in 1998 and is still OU in the Gen 1 Smogon format. Its Speed, Special, and access to Hypnosis makes it too valuable not to use, and it can easily bait an Earthquake or Psychic and switch into a wall. Not to mention that it itself can switch into a Normal-type move since Body Slam, Wrap, and Hyper Beam were so common
@@MorganKing95 True, but keep in mind that it has to compete with Jynx for a lead slot, who, despite its mediocre stars, has access to the more reliable Lovely Kiss. Hypnosis was about 60% accurate, with Lovely Kiss being about 75% accurate. Though granted, sleep accuracy alone does not a good Pokemon make. Just take a look at Parasect, for example.
Well done Victreebel, you've made James happy. You may not be OU, but you've nonetheless blasted off at the speed of light. So anyone facing you should surrender now or prepare to fight.
I've come to like victreebel quite a bit. Been considering it for various casual teams since it has so many options in later gens. Might use it in let's go. Now imagine vic flipped upside down, the placement of its eyes make it look like a longer floppier weepinnbell. why are people not voting for bisharp? hes one of the few gen v pokemon that has been relevant in almost every vid since the begginning of the channel, if a Gen V pokemon has proven to deserve a video, it's him
It's my favourite Pokemon too
Gee False Swipe Gaming! How come your mom let's you have TWO videos in a day?!
How GOOD were TWO uploads in one day ACTUALLY?
It's currently OU, but will likely be banned to Ubers soon.
Yes! I've been waiting for this one.
Thanks for doing victreebel even though he wasn’t the greatest it’s still is an amazing Pokémon I even cosplay as James being eaten by victreebel
leafhero Where can I see your cosplay??

Double upload today a good day
Yes
The P L A N T
Back you back uploads 2 weeks in a row? We have to give props to Kellen for puting more content than usual for us.
How good was 2 uploads in one day, ACTUALLY?
The 2 uploads felt in OU
*Gasp* two uploads in one day? You spoil us false...
Wait a sec.....
MORE UPLOADS THAN ONCE A WEEK?!?
I must be in a dream, and I want to stay in it
Not only that, but 2 in ONE DAY
@@SeannyyBGood we need to bust out Pokemon for future videos quickly
I was literally hoping there would be a Victreebell vid after I finished the Samurott vid! Definitely a good Sunday😁
Wait, what?
2 in one day?
I hadn't even finished the first one
Victreebel is not only the only OU Grass Type, but also the only OU Poison Type in Gen 1 competitive. Not counting niche Pokemon like Venasaur.
Edit: I completely blanked Excegutor by accident as a grass type in OU. 😅
Gengar: am I a joke to you?
@@MorganKing95 Kinda. Yeah lol.
Gengar wasn't that good in Gen 1 because of so many good psychic types (Exceggutor, Slowbro, Starmie, Jynx, and especially Alakazam, and even the niche Hypno.) and the fact that normal types, especially Tauros, usually had Earthquake to counter the poison type of Gengar. At least Victreebel is neutral to ground because of its part Grass type. 😂
@@articuno5527
Not that good?
Wow. I didn't expect a Double Upload!
....welp. I can't put votes down, so I'll just say I thought Victreebel looked epic as a kid.
Well done Victreebel, you've made James happy. You may not be OU, but you've nonetheless blasted off at the speed of light. So anyone facing you should surrender now or prepare to fight.
Fun Fact: My brothers first ever shiny was a Weepinbell in Pokémon SoulSilver
I finally got one in lets go eevee.
Not a hard task to get one but I still liked it a lot.
@@sadarot same
Finished the dex in vee not long ago. 1st shiny was bellsprout.
We get two today?! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Here before the vid gets deleted for accidentally doing 2 in one day
I've come to like victreebel quite a bit. Been considering it for various casual teams since it has so many options in later gens. Might use it in let's go. Now imagine vic flipped upside down, the placement of its eyes make it look like a longer floppier weepinnbell. If you ever thought it looked threatening, even in concept, its intimidation factor immediately evaporates.
*FSG uploads twice in one day*
His subs: Impossible
Man a double upload?! I'd shout for joy but Victreebel already has the screaming part covered.
