Jon should've been resting from 1997-99 imagine those almost 24/7 shows during 1992-1996. That would wreck anybody's voice and the kind Jon sings, i dunno if anybody could've last with that band for so many years til now. Many would've gave up but the band is one heck of a workhorse to keep pushing.
It's crazy, those 1993 shows might not have been 3 hour long, but they were incredibly intense and hard to perform. Then came 95/96, when they regularly performed almost 3 hour long shows every damn night.
John started smoking in the midnighties. that is the reason he wrecked His voice

Everyone talking about his voice. Chances are this was recorded early in the morning. Anyone would struggle that early with probably no warm up.

Anyone saying he was already struggling with his voice in the 90s is clearly not a BJ follower. It's more than obvious he had a cold when this was recorded.
I am Bon Jovi follower, and Jon started having problems with his voice back in 1987. Call me mad, but it's true
He was struggling In the late 80's a bit, the 90s it was became clear. Even in this performance you can hear how his voice has weakened quite a bit. Not much power to it at all and very nasally.

Is that Bobby Bandiera on guitar? I know he toured with Bon Jovi a lot around Lost Highway/The Circle. He just doesn’t have the same feel as Richie Sambora or Jeff Beck for that matter!

Esse guitarrista é o mesmo que substituiu o sambora quando esteve aqui no Brasil no programa livre, quem é ele? Será algum round, ou alguém da produção ?
Bobby Bandiera o nome dele mas nao substituiu o Sambora na banda Bon Jovi. Ocorreu em 1997 o programa livre quando Jon veio em carreira solo, em suporte a divulgacao do album Destination Anywhere, onde tanto no disco qto na tour ele veio acompanhado de outros músicos q nao Tico Torres, nem David Bryan nem Sambora. É outra banda, porém em 2002 na turne do Bounce da banda, começou a ter 2 guitarristas ao vivo e Sambora e Bandiera chegaram a tocar juntos nesse período.

Se eu não me engano Sambora tinha problemas com álcool e se tratava nessa época, foi bem na época que o Jon gravava álbuns solos.
Sambora actually wasn’t part of the original. Band wasn’t involved.

The beginning of his vocal problems. Specific nasal way of singing. I though it started around 2003-2004. Listen to the verses "...Don't know where I'm going, only God knows where I've been..."
He always had a nasally voice, even 1992 you can hear on the same words

They weren’t part of the song originally. This was from a solo album by Jon that included Elton John, Little Richard and Jeff Beck (guitar). This song was nominated for an Academy Award.
