We are part of an international network of 834 sister institutions across 5 continents and in 132 countries, sharing the same mission and values, and now the world's leading cultural NGO. The Fondation des Alliances Françaises, headquartered in Paris, regulates, leads and coordinates the global network of Alliances Françaises, created in 1883. It also provides a quality framework which ensures that the services at all of the Alliances Françaises around the world are of the same high professional standard.

We are the Alliance Française d’Oxford, the officially recognised charity whose mission is to promote French language and French-speaking cultures in Oxford. Since 2015, we have been offering the finest French language tuition and organising cultural events in Oxford. We are an apolitical, non-religious, not-for-profit organisation, open to everyone.
