Thank you for Part 2 Gemma! As always , helpful video ! 😊 Just an FYI… Clinique was never cruelty free. They themselves do NOT conduct animal testing and do NOT allow animal testing done by others… and here is the catch … EXCEPT when required by law. Their products do sell in China so animal testing may need to be conducted .
CLINIQUE is my all time favourite company since I was 17! I tried all kinds of make up in the last two years and I consistently go back to CLINIQUE. My last disappointment was a $112 Sisley concealer. I had an allergic reaction as I (now know) often do with French make up. It was a very expensive mistake and it did depress me, but CLINIQUE never disappoints. My mom loves the Sephora concealer in Canada. US, Canada, Europe all have different laws surrounding make up and food.
I live in the US. I have dry skin. I’m 44 and found my perfect shade match in Sephora concealer that was mentioned. I’ve been reaching for it over my high end concealers almost daily. Blends beautifully, looks natural, and covers my dark circles. I highly recommend trying it.
I LOVE the Huda faux filter concealer for undereye, and I agree the Clinique all in one corrector/primer is superb (looks orange without concealer on top) doesn't dry my undereye out either. The Lancome teint idole concealer is great for blemishes, but not so good under the eyes as the coverage isn't as good as Huda. The lightest teint idole concealer is perfect for my face skin but too dark for undereye
I’m in the US and I actually love the US Sephora Best Skin Ever Concealer! I do need to make sure my skin is moisturized first but I think the finish is beautiful and the coverage is awesome.
Hi Gemma, I love your videos and originally discovered you when looking for 50+ skincare and makeup. You are my go to now. Keep up the good work, thank you for another great video x
The EU rules have banned a lot of the ingredients found in the US bought Sephora concealer. The FDA really needs to catch up with their permitted/banned ingredients list. I finally managed to get the Clinique undereye corrector in peach and it's absolutely wonderful. Had you not mentioned this product, I would NEVER have known about it - nobody talks about this except you!! Thank you, you really are a GEM 💎 Love you so, so much 🤍☃️💜🤍☃️💜☃️💜🤍☃️💜🤍
Thank you for the recommendations 🙏🏻 you used to recommend on Mac p+p illuminator for color correction (wanted to get the yellow one for my purple dark circles). Did you fall out of love with it? Also, for a concealer I 100% recommend on Ilia. Amazing for dry and sensitive under eyes!
OMG I am in Australia and I got the Sephora Best Skin Ever Glow. It is so bloody good and I don't hear anyone talk about it. I've had it for months. It's what I thought the Charolotte Tilbury concealer was going to be. A must if you can get your hands on it.
I bought the Sephora Concealer here in Canada and I quite like it. It dries down fast, but as long as you work quickly I don't find it problematic. I use the shade 10N in the foundation, so grabbed a 10N in the concealer. I see you use the 8 (its 8Y over here). Maybe I should give that one a go...... Thanks for another great video Gemma! Hope your house renos are almost done!
Hi Gemma, I'm Italian and bought the sephora concealer here in Italy and I have to say about it the same things you said about the USA version: patchy, powdery, drying.. I don't know why, but I went to read the ingredients of this concealer on the UK website, throughout your link, and then I read the ingredients on the Italian website...they don't match either.. There are also different ingredient lists for the different shades.. I don't know why but I think that some slight differences in the formulation may give different results even with the same product..
I’m defo going to try the huda/Lancôme mix. I have DARK circles and I’m pale but yellow toned 🫠 so really struggle finding a concealer that works. I’ve found the huda a bit Claggy and slightly drying so this mix might work. I even bought the £85 Chanel one 🤣💀 (it’s ok, but not £85 ok). Thanks!
Yes, me too, great coverage, thin and light weight, stays all day even without powder and i have under eye bags, lines and first wrinkles 😅 but i have the Huda one on my list 😉❤️
What a super good video, dear Gemma, and top explanation, thank you so much!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩I live in The Netherlands, order sometimes at Sephora France as we don't have a Sephora here. Did not know that there were 2 versions of this concealer, not that i own it, but maybe, sounds good! I have the Huda concealer, which i can use, being 52, when prepping my undereyes very well, maybe i can combine it with the Lancome, if there is not to much fragrance in this one, great idea Gemma, thanks!!! Also wonderful explanation about the colour correctors thank you, have a great weekend and a wonderful Christmas!!!!😘😘😘😘
Hi I’ve never thought of Clinique as being cruelty free buts that because all the big brands test on animals so assumed they were the same. Mac was CF years ago but wanted to sell in China so changed. All brands who sell there have to test.
The Nars undereye corector is orange and horrible , i have to use it up because was expensive, i can't wait to finish it up. I brought the Bobbi Brown one in the pot , that is beautiful and worth the money, of course Charlotte Tilburry one is superb but that is allways out of stock! I am a type of person who can't really miss this step in my makeup steps, i have dark circles and is something genetic 😭. I really have to try the Huda Beauty Concealer !
I purchased the Clinque one at an Ulta sale.i have no problem with it, but it does get too much product on the applicator. It also has a sponge in the lid, but I did not like the way it blends the product.
I KNOW THE ANSWER TO YOUR Q. as to why the formulas are differnt for N.America so...here goes...it's the Drastically different climatic conditions & temperatures!! I moved from the Former Yugoslavia to Calgary, Alberta, Canada.....years ago. The first thing I did was hit the stores to buy my Orlane B21 range, as I had been a highly trained with Orlane and Guerlain of Paris, in both Cosmetology and Perfumery in EU. Used Orlane for a couple of weeks...then...WHY ISN'T IT WORKING? Crapolla X 1000! I then figured out that Alberta has a COLD ARRID CONTINENTAL Climate, where the skin dehydrates so fast, that it called for a totally different skincare regime! So I had to find out what worked for me. In other words, N.America has totally different climates because of it's vast size! So that is the answer to your Q.😂😇🤩 In the end, I went back on my former Skincare & Perfume training and research, to develop my own products, without any Toxins, Synthetics, Tars, Petroleum etc. Products that actually worked immediately.
Yeh so I always thought Clinique was cruelty free. I think cos they're free of everything, maybe consumers just assume they'd be animal friendly. After using Clinique on & off for 25 years I've learned something new hahaaa
Sorry Gemna but as a cruelty free consumer I must tell you that the brand Sephora is NOT cruelty free!!! I recommend checking the list from the website cruelty free kitty.
Cruelty free to me means no under eye concealer/correctors till June, 2023. No disrespect, I don’t even know anyone that wears it. I know it’s your job.
I assume this comment is meant to be tongue in cheek. However seriously I value Gemma's reviews in this category as I have very dark circles and for me, concealer is a must and I also need corrector for all but the highest coverage concealers. My fav corrector is the Becca as it is very brightening and hydrating and helps the concealer to last longer.
I know this comment was not meant negatively at all, so I implore everyone not to take it that way, and keep your replies kind. Donna is an amazing member of the pack. X

I love the IT Bye Bye under eye concealer with the elf peach color corrector.
Absolutely love the Huda Beauty Concealer. It stays put all day.

I’ve tried the glow foundation but not the concealer yet. I’ll definitely try it xxx
I liked the Lancôme formula but gave up on it because of the lack of coverage. I need to try the Huda mix!
You get a definite A ! I love , after all these years that I can still learn new beauty tricks
Fab video Gem, the nyx serum concealer is fantastic! 🎉
Hi Gemma, I worked for Clinique and as far as I know they’ve never been cruelty free unfortunately 💕
I think I must have made it up in my head Bev 😁

I use Beauty Pie corrector. Doesn’t take much so it’ll last forever!
Eborian I'm curious what you think. 👍🏻

Such a helpful video, Gemma! BTW, Clinique has never been cruelty free.❤
Great video! Tutorial on the makeup you’re wearing today, please?
As always Gemma ..excellent video
Thank you
I just put the Lancôme concealer in my Sephora basket
Next stop is the store to shade match!
Love the lancome concealer

@KataM yeah I'm eyeing that one up, my undereyes need all the help the can get 😩🤣

Hi Gemma. Have you tried the concealer from AYU? It’s a great under eye self-setting non-creasing long-lasting concealer
I’ll try it x
Hey Gemma thank you for sharing see you soon 🌺

I have. Unfortunately I had a rather nasty reaction to it 🤦🏼♀️
@@PamperedWolf oh dear

Just purchased the faux filter and love it! Where is your stripey top from?

Love your hair!! I wonder why the ingredients in the Sephora concelar are different?

I think Clinique has never been cruelty free, that’s what I thought anyway unfortunately.
Clinique to my knowledge was never cruelty free. Bear in mind though “cruelty free” wasn’t a priority until the last decade or so.
Sorry Gemna but as a cruelty free consumer I must tell you that the brand Sephora is NOT cruelty free!!! I recommend checking the list from the website cruelty free kitty.
I didn’t say the Sephora concealer was cruelty free. The Huda Beauty was my cruelty free favourite. X
Rodial product is $45. That's not affordable to me.
It’s my cruelty free favourite, not my affordable favourite. There’s also a smaller version which I have, that’s more affordable. X
