I'm jealous man! I have a similar Onkyo subwoofer (onkyo skw-658) and the driver is 80watt rms. but the suspension and spider are to weak so it moves so much that it's about to over excursion😢
Hi, no I don't recall having that problem with my unit👍🏼 you might want to consider increasing the subwoofer output on your amplifier and reducing the volume on the back of the subwoofer if you feel it's too loud. Then maybe the LFE pre out signal will be strong enough to prevent it going into standby mode?
They're ok, drivers are a bit small, some have long throw drivers in them, but ok for an entry model system-in-a-box. Bass isn't very controlled or punchy, and doesn't go very deep, but like I said it's ok compared to its peers at the price point, amplification and drive size 👍🏼

Thanks for your comment. Hopefully it lasts and doesn't blow👍🏼🤞🏼
@@kaygeebee9155 I hope it too! and if it does blow up, I will definitely re-use the cone because I love the cone and dust cap of this subwoofer!
Hi. Do you have standby problems with it on low volume? It always turns off in films

Yes, I do. Very annoying. And when it does go into standby, it messes up the TV signal for 2 or 3 second
Any idea if there's actually any difference between the 501 and 501E?
Sorry, no idea unfortunately. It might just be differing between European and other regional models maybe?
Which is the subwoofer cable that connects with the amplifier because I don’t have the cable and I don’t know what’s he name of the cable
It's called a subwoofer RCA interconnect cable👍🏼
@@kaygeebee9155 thanks 😊
Frien, what you think about this Onkyo subwofer?
