- Is this the TV that will excite most people in 2024? The Samsung S95D OLED takes what was already a great QD-OLED TV and adds a matte treatment that Samsung calls Glare-Free OLED. Sitting among some of the most premium TVs to come out this year, will this glare-free treatment have a lasting impact? Let’s look at reasons to buy or skip the Samsung S95D OLED TV.

So how about you? Would you Buy or Skip the Samsung S95D OLED TV? 📺
No DV support. Skip. Waiting for the 83" G4.
Buying
Bought it, very pleased in my living room, huge improvement coming from Sony A9G. Even the wife noticed it immediately, and that is saying something!
@@tscan1265 DV is a farce honestly.
Looks like i see my new tv for my very bright living room😁😁✌️
Still okay with my S95B from 2022.😊
Finally people with bright rooms were heared. It is mindboggling that so many people are able to ignore all the sharp reflections. I am pretty sure not so many ppl do have dark cinema rooms at home. Most people just dont realize that the best picture is useless with reflections. Most TVs are more like mirrors than anything else, most anti-glare coatings are more like a marketing gag, if you can see yourself clearly in your TV in summer it is joke, but not a good TV
I want this, but waiting for a sale later in the year! Looks great. Awesome review.
77" max size?? When are we going to get new gen OLEDs in larger sizes?
I want to know if the video processing of the s95/s90D is better than that of the s95/s90C. And I’d like a comparison of the S95D and S90D-is the only significant difference the matte screen covering and OneConnect box? If so, especially since (as you say) a sound-bar is pretty much necessary, this could be a great way to save some money towards an upgrade in four or five years…
The lack of Doblby Vision and DTS support rules Samsung TV's out for me.
Plus having just rejected an LG C3 Oled for panel failure i don't want another Oled
The greyscale performace was poor with dark patches and banding.
I am waiting for reports on the new Sony Mini-Led models, yes there are expensive
but i don't change my TV every year, so i can wait a while and see if the prices drop.
Hi,
How would you compare the S95D with Sony's A95L ?
Many thanks,
Derek.
think will stand back and let time tell if i want certainly interested i have plasma Samsung it flawless maybe just keep that one got it on sale!
I need help picking a new tv S90D or S95D what's the difference?
Price between the two huge difference lol i just want to know if its worth to pay the extra bucks 🤔
I'd buy it on Black Friday. I don't want a one connect box but do want the best qd oled picture quality.
What about sony?
@@masomaf sony qd oled to expensive, I like the x93L for a miniled, price is right.
Skip. Only because I just got my S90C, back in November...
Why do you never, ever put the MSRP of items you review?
Expensive 🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😢😢
I won't skip this one due to glare free
Guess I'll be going with S90C 77" for a much cheaper price
Yes I agree, people shouldn't sleep on this tv deff.
Definitely will be skipping after dealing with the one disconnect box last year on the S95c, I will be getting the new Panasonic Z95A .
Connect box is not that good? I heard about low bandwidth
I'll just go for the LG G4.I don't like connect box and matte finish.
Skip, not much difference over my S95C which has been a fantastic first Oled tv and it’s $1000 cheaper for no matte and 400 nits less. May be an option for new Oled buyers especially when the sales hit.
Not one comment about the lack of Dolby Vision. People are starting to realize that HDR10+ is just better all around.
Compare matte with oled picture quality & the difference is obvious
don't like the connect box, if the s95d didn't have it i would get one.
Bye G3 and welcome S95D better color volume😊
G4 wins
to glare-free or to not glare-free?
Hehehehe 😂it's not work, I think there will never be anti-glare panels 😂
S90D won't have glare-free tech...that will be the major difference right? So $1000-1500 premium for anti-glare & one connect...
This TV is a game changer! If you have a bright room, this is your absolute solution, people this anti- glare tech works! Have had it for 2 weeks and glare is non-existent. I like it so much i may purchase another one to put in my outdoor patio.
I have the s95c OLED ❤ skip
I would too if I had that. I typically go seven years between new TV's. Still running my 2018 set.
@@markh351 amazing is your OLED?
@@mizizi1 I just have an edge lit LED although 75 inch LOL.
Samsungs quality control and service is so horrendous that it doesn't matter how good their displays are. The moment you have an issue, welcome to the nightmare
I heard they went downhill somewhat starting in 2022. When I asked for service on my set in early 2019, I had a great and hassle-free experience.
Unfortunately still no Dolby Vision support. I like the idea of the matted finish but we know Samsung's firmware updates might cause problems in the future.
This could be the best TV ever made.
Bright and accurate and incredible technology. Much better than the Sony A95L.
I just saw glare in the glare free oled lol & worse picture quality
Skip because it's a Samsung
We set it up at work it is trash, Ive never been so disappointed with a oled
How so?
@@davidwilliams1147 The Matt panel makes the blacks look more grey in store. Next to the lg g4 it looks like a downgrade
Nooo noo nooooo never😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😢😢LG❤😂😂❤
it's not a review, it's a sell.
Whata you know another review channel aiding and abetting Samsung to put cheap garbage matte coatings on there high end displays.
Matte Screen = automatic skip. We were fine with glossy and nobody really complained. I also hate how these new monitors are becoming matte screen too
The matte screen is the most exciting element to me 😂
@@elidanceali ew
I was thinking this way until I watch S95C (i know D series is more mate but this S95C is less glossy compared to A80L and G3) vs A80L and G3 side by side. The glare sore my eyes so much actually, S95C more pleasing to my eyes. Waiting to see S95D, will it be better or S95C will be perfect zone for anti glare coating.
Monitors aren’t bad but please leave my TVs glossy… I game on an s95c and it’s perfect
I disagree. Every HDTV that I have ever bought has had a matte screen. It's nice to have the choice of yea or nay and now we have it. At the end of the day, buy what makes you happy.
the s95d sucks ass a matte panel? really that negates the point of an oled. black in a lit room is grey blacks. i used to buy samsung but they ruined their best oled. so yeah skip that crap
77” inch only, no thank you…
Skip... matte-type coating and no Dolby Vision...
This tv will look better than any none qd oled display with Dolby Vision anyway.
Name 1 TV with accurate Dolby vision. And tell me why there are 48 different Dolby vision ratings. Just because something has “Dolby vision” doesn’t mean it’s better. 0 TV manufacturers tell you what Dolby Vision rating they have. It’s a gimmick unless you’re in an actual movie theater
Here in Brazil people were like this too. "Oh, no dolby vision, its crap". Netflix slowly took off dolby vision from all the content to save money, and now everything is "only" hdr10. People complained in the beggining, but now its all ok, nobody remember dolby vision. Come on, its known that the way companies use the hdr is that matters. There a few movies, not many, but a few that a better in hdr10. And I prefer hdr10+ than dolby vision. Toobad onlu prime video invest in that.
The people make Dolby Vision seem far more superior than any other video format. HDR10+ performs the same. Why waste energy in swearing by dolby vision. The adults here d t care about that bcz we know its jus a marketing strategy. Stop falling for it lad
Skip, no matte, no WOLED, no Mini LED.
Defo skip s95c is better than this
