Here is a demo of vapor blasting a Volvo valve cover.
Vapor blasting for steel, aluminum, magnesium, titanium, rubber, brass, copper, plastic.
Safe on metal, will not warp or score surface. This blasting is done with water and a fine glass bead slurry for the best surface finish. Revive your cast aluminum motorcycle parts back to a factory finish. Sand blasting will gouge the surface and remove material, this is safer and does not remove any metal. It will get into small threaded holes.

Do you have a heater in your vapor honing cabinet. Are you using rust inhibitor on cast iron parts. Do you masking engine block or other engine parts before vapor honing process.
