This review was so super awesome because everything you said, up until the final 1-minute , was so positive and and full of appreciation and respect for it, and then, like many a great story (movies, books...) you delivered the surprise tension with a strong dislike (though still respecting it). I seriously thought you were going to say how much you love it. Excellent arc to your storytelling!
I couldn’t agree more. Great, totally unbiased review. He simply reviewed the fragrance and talked about how good it was, but in the end it just wasn’t his style and he would never wear it. Therefore he still gave it an 8/10 rather than like a 5/10 simply because it wasn’t his style, even though YSL might have knocked it out of the park for most people.

I find it interesting that you said "I don't do posh person stuff" and "I never wear a white shirt". That, to me, is the difference between refinement/class and superficiality. As in, you do you, but in an expert and refined way. I've come full circle to dressing more formally intentionally because I appreciate some of the tailoring, not because I feel like I need to look posh (I'm from Hull, so posh might be beyond me), the same goes for fragrance for me. I guess what I'm trying to express badly is that if you do something, in my opinion, do that thing with commitment, expertise and class, which is what I see here 100%. Bravo. So many live their lives pretending or trying to conform. Class wins every time, for me.

I know you're a younger cat and this scent is from the 80s but I have tried all of the newer ones with all of the pheromones and shit but this stuff is truly on another level. Hi Aaron, thanks for your honesty. I like YSL as a house. I own quite a few YSL fragrances. But tonight in Chicago people will be smelling PDM Herod in the air. As it is my fragrance of the day. Thanks again.
Im suuuper curious about your view on this. I paid $325 CND for this last summer from YSL. I was immediately furiously angry that it's a skin scent at that price, where i phoned up YSL and got angry with them! Over the course of the week i fell in LOVE with the fragrance DNA, and still furiously angry about how weak it is, absolutely zero projection and fades after 30-40 mins! When i was on the phone with them they confirmed to me that it has been recently REFORMULATED! The caramelized vanilla has been reduced to shit. It's one of my most fav scents of all-time. Best news - 'Moustache EDP' is a better frag that smells not only just like it, but projects like crazy, AND only costs $40 bucks!! I will admit, YSL's version of this DNA is better refined.
