Just discovered GF products, love your videos. Im in the So. Calif desert & would love to have a shop like yours near by! I'll definitely have to try out the brushes. As far as a brush for stain, what do you recommend? (Oil & water base) Thanks for all yor great info!
I’m looking to redo my kitchen cabinets with the dark chocolate color but this stuff is so hard to find:( Your website is the only place I’ve been able to find it, but I need a gallon. Why is this only available in pints and quarts? The cost to purchase 4 quarts would be more than I want to spend on this product so I’ll likely have to find another alternative. Bummer.
Hi Marcie! The reason we carry quarts is that a little of this product goes a long way! One quart will cover 2-3 medium size pieces! Check out our Virtual Consultation on our website and we can help you further! suitepieces.com/pages/virtual-paint-consultation
I have oak kitchen cabinets and I used general finishes java gel stain about 3 years ago, but now I want to paint them white. What product should I use and is there a way to hide the wood grain.
Use General Finishes Stain Blocker and Brushable White Enamel to get the whitest white. If the grain is very textured you may need to use a little wood filler too.
Hi Amanda! The milk paint looks great! We like it, too. And decided to paint with it the doors at our home. But there is a problem: fresh pine wood gives yellowing through the paint coat. Which base - wood stain or primer - could you recommend for milk paint?
We always recommend General Finishes Stain Blocker (suitepieces.com/products/general-finishes-stain-blocker?_pos=1&_sid=8d2d2dbd1&_ss=r) to help prevent the tannins pulling through and causing that bleed through. If you want to be bright white, we would use stain blocker then Brushable White Enamel (suitepieces.com/search?type=product,article,page&q=*brushable*) instead of topcoating!
Is denatured alcohol cleans glass the same as denatured alcohol clean burning fuel?
Yes!
What sand paper grit did you use?

I used General Finishes Oil Base Gel Stain/Java long ago and now I want General Finishes Milk Paint grayish... Is this possible?
Isnt there a risk of bleed through without the primer on this dark stained table?
Hi Amanda! Why do you start with denatured alcohol instead of Krudcutter?
This product is different then the Matte finish paint and requires Denatured Alcohol as per the manufacturer!
I’d like to paint my doors with this paint. Looks like the paint on them is oil paint. Do I need to use a primer?
You wouldn't need to use a primer unless you want to go from very dark to light/white! If so use, General Finishes Stain Blocker

I’m painting my kitchen cabinets/drawers.
do brush strokes go away when it dries?
Yes! As long as you use a moderate coat and you don't over work the paint

Would you say using the Exterior 450 topcoat on Kitchen cabinets would be a more protective finish than the high performance topcoats ?
