Forgot to mention that you might also want to have the "Output" knob on the Spark 40 turned down all the way so you avoid getting the dry tone playing at the same time as the sounds from Bias!
Are these other options possible ??? 1) Connecting via the AUX in cable 2) Using some FRFR presets you find on the cloud... Have you tested to see the difference sound quality wise?? In fact I'm planning using BIAS FX 2 mobile and my old iPad, but have no RIFF yet... so I'm just trying to figure out all the options. Thanks !
I have two Spark amp.s ( I play them in stereo ) I have asked positive grid if I can use their Spark application to set both amps to a clean fender sound , they replied " No" and offered no solution ( Then closed the case before I could respond ). Do you know of any fix for this ?Do you know of a video that offers a solution to this ? thx
So, just in closing, if ol Saint Nick brings me a Spark 40 amp, I can use Bias FX with it. There are some packs on sale. Acoustic and Bass. I told my mom but Positive Grid said they are not compatible.
Hi, I have a Spark amp and Bias FX 2 and your video helped me a lot. I just bought a guitar with an OBEL. Is it possible to run Bias FX2 through the OBEL system of the guitar? Thanks, Barry
Is there any lag? Wonder if this will work for spark mini+bias fx mobile 2. I want to use mini as an audio interface and output signal from iPad bias fx mobile 2 as it is more versatile than spark’s app
Was there any delay going in to bias fx 2 when using the spark as an interface? I've seen other videos showing really bad delay when using spark as interface into other software. Thanks
I heard that some sparks come with an ungrounded power supply that might contribute to the feedback. The only other things I can think of is making sure the output knob on the spark is down all the way or it could be something to do with the input/output volume slides on bias itself. I'm not sure what else it could be but it's always good to update firmware/software. Can you tell if it's feedback from the amp side of things versus the bias side?
Unfortunately no, with the way positive grid likes to separate all their products I doubt they'd ever provide full integration between software products and the spark 40
Totally new to the amp modeling world. So, honest question, why would you want to do this? Why not just use the effects in the Spark? Is the Bias FX2 a lot better?
Bias FX2 isn't necessarily better it just has a wider range of sounds. I'm too broke to buy proper monitors right now so this is my only way of messing around with bias FX2 without using headphones
@@oliverzemo3936 not sure if you’ll see this but I’ve been wondering and not finding any answers. I have a set of PRORECK Party 15” monitors. The one has a 1/4” guitar jack on the front. Would I be able to use bias FX on my computer and rather than have it come out of my headphones can I just wire from my interface into the monitor and have everything play through there? Thanks!
Same here... wish this guy mentioned that before I went and bought it... I even got the ASIO4ALL driver downloaded (for lower latency 0.03), but it of course still feels delayed... I mean, I know it is delayed at 0.03 but still sort of is annoying

THIS is what I've been looking for. I'm playing through GarageBand and I kept getting the effects that were at each setting on the amp. Thank you!!!
But does it matter if the Spark preset is empty or not as long as the output is turned to zero and you are only using the input volume?
No, it doesn't :)@@trondeidetube
as owner of both bias fx2 and spark40, this is exactly what i was looking for!
ditto for me. wondered about this.
How do I connect a fender mustang amp to biasfx2?
Thank you bro. My laptop comes in tomorrow. I can't wait to start jamming for real with endless computer effects
Here in 2024, hi Oliver I have bias fx on my iPad over interface into spark cab it’s a dream 🤣
Thank you so much! Was afraid I had just wasted some money on Bias by not being able to use it with my Spark amps.
SWEET! It worked! Definitely you want to run a patch cord instead of remote....helps with latency. Great hack!
What do you mean?
@@sidrolf lol that's what I was just about to say 🤣
The spark doesn’t have a port for patch cords though
I have problems with the first step. Create a preset. How? Where? Spark application? Bias FX 2? I don't understand.
Great. Exactly what I was looking for.
what about all the latency? 10ms is very noticeable and when I lower it I get distortion in the app.

will this help reduce latency aswell?
Can this also be done with the spark go?

Or if you got a Irig HD, run a aux from the headphone jack to the aux on back of spark
I am going to try that with a Katana Go.
Thank you for sharing it so clearly and straight to the point!
Question, do you happen to notice any latency?
So, just in closing, if ol Saint Nick brings me a Spark 40 amp, I can use Bias FX with it. There are some packs on sale. Acoustic and Bass. I told my mom but Positive Grid said they are not compatible.
Can i do this with spark live?
Could u record using bias fx 2?

Positive grid Spark IS an interface,,,
I installed the ASIO provided by Positive Grid, but I keep getting the 'No device is connected to the pc.' error. Any thoughts on how to handle that?
Was there any delay going in to bias fx 2 when using the spark as an interface? I've seen other videos showing really bad delay when using spark as interface into other software. Thanks
Prob late but I have really bad delay (latency?) I have my buffer set correctly. .04 ms
How do I connect a fender mustang amp to bias fx?? The amp doesn't show in the audio options.
Is your guitar plugged into the spark 40, or into bias via an interface device?
It’s plugged into the spark amp
Wait, so this means I can use my spark with a midi footswitch (plugged into my PC), correct?
have you tried any high gain stuff?
Yes but the music volume knob is super sensitive to it so it's gotta stay a little quieter than the clean tones
I wonder if I can run my kemper stage like this 👀
Hey buddy I tried same thing, checked all settings and get tons of feedback and noise. any trouble shooting tips?

@@oliverzemo3936 its definitly from the bias end. Amp is whisper quiet when used normally. Did resets, firmware....really weird.
Is it possible to save Axe Fx2 presets on the Spark, using this method?
Unfortunately no, with the way positive grid likes to separate all their products I doubt they'd ever provide full integration between software products and the spark 40

Bias fx also has a looper and record function which you can't use with the amp alone
hey i am wondering if I can do the exact same thing with my Katana 50 MK2. do you know if i’m able to do this?
Hey were you able to this with the katana? I have one too and I want to try it
with a six second delay lol
I am finding there is too much input delay. Anyone else?

@@cokeman13377331 you can't hear 0.03 so this is something else - I have the same problem.
latency?
it says .04 on my mac but it's not as you can hear the delay
Of course they fail to mention that.
