What do you mean by Medial Ascending, Lateral Descending? The right will always be the ascending colon, and you can tell this is right lateral decubitus b/c of air/fliud levels. The left will always be the descending colon, unless they have situs inversus.
Hi! Good question. In these questions you will split the ascending colon into medial and lateral sides to answer barium or air locations. Same with descending colon. The medial sides of the colon are the sides closest to the spine. Lateral sides are at the outside or lateral borders of the body.
