The story follows elven mage Frieren, a former member of the party of adventurers who defeated the Demon King and restored harmony to the world after a ten-year quest. The heroic group includes human hero Himmel, dwarven warrior Eisen, and human priest Heiter. Before they part, they observe the Era Meteors together, a meteor shower that occurs once in fifty years. Frieren agrees to see them again and offers them a better view the next time the celestial event occurs. Frieren then departs and travels the world in pursuit of magical knowledge.
Frieren returns to the capital fifty years later; however, humanity has changed, and her former companions have distinctly aged. After one last adventure to see the meteor shower, Himmel dies of old age. During the funeral, Frieren expresses guilt for not attempting to learn more about him. Paying a visit to her other former comrades, she accepts Heiter's request to teach and care for Fern, an orphaned child adopted by Heiter. She also receives an invitation to travel far north to the resting place of souls and see Himmel again to bid the hero a fitting farewell and express her feelings. To fulfill those requests, Frieren embarks on a journey together with Fern while still pursuing her passion for learning magic. Along the way, she is joined by Stark, a young warrior boy taught by Eisen.

So you started one of the most epic and heart warming history not only in the anime, but all fantasy genre. I almost envy you.
Definitely not the most epic but definitely heartwarming and arguably the best and has most depth theme ever

It's hard to compare this to other anime as it's in a realm of it's own. A masterpiece of visual story-telling.
I was a little thrown off by the translations as well. Some things sounded a little...robotic, I suppose. Nothing too terrible though.
@@Ichigoku15 could be because of western translators or "localizations" often throw in their own things on it, often to the detriment of the actual story.
This is interestingly enough a mostly english translated issue and not with other languages that I speak from japanese.
I've seen a lot of your other stuff and quite enjoy your emotional feel of things. I can confidently say that this show is going to emotionally break you like hardly any other thing.
It's interesting that you'd say Frieren has no emotion after she was smiling and talking happily with her party during their last adventure together to see the Era Meteor Shower.
This came out during a super packed season and stood atop the rest (with Apothecary Diaries) but I am sure you will enjoy. Great characters, amazing adventures and story. Really fun watch.
I hope you enjoy this anime, it is great! The first episode of this anime was originally planned to be released as a 90 minute movie but was instead changed into 4 episodes released on the same day. To get the full sense of the anime you should watch the first 4 episodes before deciding if you want to continue. That being said I believe you will like it enough to continue the series.

I really liked this video too I might watch this series on my own time as well. I'm guessing there's a lack of overlap in your followers. You have a lot of patrons I'm guessing, a lot of subscribers but not all of them are on both? Why go to patreon if you have the free RUclips option, and why watch on RUclips when you get more stuff earlier on patreon? You know what I mean?
