- Here is a video of Kimbra back in the day when she was 13 years old at Bounce 2003. This is an original song she wrote called "You've Found the Way".
This concert took place in Wellington, New Zealand at the Wellington Town Hall in the month of February 2003 where 10 years later is the month Kimbra received two Grammy Awards.
Also the band in this video were some of New Zealand's top young upcoming musicians!

Gabrielle, it's never too late for anything. She started at a very young age and through out the years has been mentored by some of the best producers and artists in the field. But she also worked very hard to get to where she is now. I know a lot of people who have made it into a career in their 30's. You still have a lot of years ahead of you. Follow your dreams, believe in yourself! You have to believe in what you do in order for it to work out for you. Good luck

Super interesting to see how her voice has evolved. It is already here, a natural gift. But it was a rough stone she learnt to polish. Her voice gives me chills, even when she just speaks. Definitely my favourite artist ever.

This is the coolest clip I've seen in a while @Ben Shepherd. And I had a feeling when I saw her in Chicago last year that she was destined to be a superstar. And she is only just starting! This is great tune, Kimbra should resurrect it for sure!

My sentiments exactly.
seeing this, i now realise she has been "nurtured" from a really young age to be the product she is now. That's not meant to sound negative. But a 13 yr old with a full band, big gig, and tv cameras - she won't have organised all that herself. And her stage presence at that age is unfaltering - loads of confidence. As a singer only just finding the confidence to try and make it into a career when i'm nearly 30, it makes you wonder if it's way too late?!
