Redskins/FSU fan, watched both games vs LSU the last two years and never thought JD was going to be a top 10 pic let alone a Heisman winner. He left a lot on the field that day interesting how matchups play out

Flashed a few times, but overall struggled in that game in my opinion. Locked onto guys a lot & had a handful of just bad throws. Definitive boom, or bust player imo. Will be a risky pick.... [Update] He's been growing on me lately. Reminds me of a young Randall Cunningham. If he gets it on the next level, watch out!

    Hi Nick! :)
Daniels is a great talent, but I’ve never seen a player worse at protecting themselves on the field. If he keeps taking hits like 2:29 there’s no way he lasts in the NFL playing 17-20 game seasons.
Jake Locker is perhaps the 2nd worst I can think of, and he retired early in his career due to injuries and was 20 pounds heavier 😬

Really good stuff. Making throws outside the numbers consistently. Run ability is special. The game got away from them in the 2nd half. Idk why there isn’t a broadcast view of his INT, but I see that the receiver was on the ground so maybe it wasn’t on Daniel’s.

Failed to mention how he doesn't read the field . majority of his "good throws are wide open . thanks to the OC . His pocket awareness lack due to most games his oline gives him all day to throw, such as the alabama game . When he runs , his oline creates big holes, so yes, he runs good but Nfl will close those gaps easily. Over thrown a couple of easy check downs . At the nfl level, he has alot of work to do . Especially if he gets picked by a bad team . He's a run first qb with a decent deep arm. Running that ravens offense is a must for him.

@httrprod same deal when he played alabama. He's better off getting drafted by a playoffs team. He will be running for his life on a bad team

i don't really agree. he clearly reads the field, just not fast enough. i'd heard that this was his worst tape of the year and i was pretty pleasantly surprised to see him operating efficiently in the short to intermediate game. he dealt with pressure fairly well. this is not a raw passer. taking into consideration this is week 1 against a tough defense. he does really need to speed up his process. that's my main problem with his game. the accuracy criticism is unwarranted, however. he throws quite an accurate ball at all levels as long as he isn't careless with his mechanics. he's a tip-toer in the pocket but it doesn't really worry me because he has reasonably good awareness feeling rushers etc. he does get good protection consistently, but that doesn't mean his awareness is bad. over the middle passing needs work, especially when it comes to throwing in-breakers with anticipation. he just doesn't do it, waits to see his guys come open. that won't fly. intermediate game is overall a place for improvement. had some nice throws that were unfortunately dropped. all in all, if this is his worst tape, it's not nearly as bad as I was expecting as a Daniels skeptic. this looks like a future NFL qb to me, with rushing upside, accuracy, and playmaking ability.@@williamchavez365

He is smaller than JF and makes plays that will get him killed in the nfl. Never seen someone play so recklessly, hes going to get injured. A lot of arm strength but inaccurate. Honestly, a worse prospect than both lamar and JF. People that have him going 3rd overall are on crack. A tossup for if he will succeed, would need a really good coach to get him there.

He makes way more throws than Maye and has more upside as a rusher as well. This is one of his worse games and he still flashed abilities to make NFL throws. Will be need coaching? Yes, but if I’m the Commanders, Raiders, or Patriots I don’t see how you don’t look at this kid
