Those two TD Passes were beautiful, 1st one he read that the DB' had his back to the ball and made great pass and the second pass was a great back shoulder throw. Caleb had 3 TDS and one Rushing TD against a team that made it to the championship game with a not so good supporting cast. What are you talking about?
@NeumaSeven Caleb Williams folded the second half of the season. Once he started playing better defenses (and thats Pac 12 defenses) he wasn't doing as well. A lot of his plays are off script, he doesn't have many plays where he's operating the play on schedule. It's like watching Johnny Manziel all over again, with a little shade of Baker Mayfield. No thanks. I'd rather take Jayden Daniels.
@@jorgearellano723 You can’t just say Williams is like Manziel because they both make plays off script. I'll say it, penix is better than williams. I'd still take williams because of the potential, but if you go watch penix in the same game he is so far ahead of caleb in so many areas. Such as processing progressions footwork mechanics. I love caleb, I think he's the top qb in the draft. But he is not a sure thing. Don't be shocked if penix is a better pro than caleb.
Do you really feel that way though? I can give you an objective anecdote. I'm in a group chat with a bunch of Bronco homers. They were super-excited to watch this game live and catch a glimpse of their potential future, Michael Penix Jr. They were left feeling that there are levels to this game. It made them realize the discrepancy in value between the #1 selection and a mid round first. Since that point, they moved onto JJ McCarthy. And I am a huge fan of Michael.
I do. I'll clarify though, I think he's better right now. As in he's pro ready. I still caleb will be better. I'm higher on penix than most though. I have him as the number 2 qb in the draft with caleb being 1 of course.
@@isaacperry8195 if Penix falls to the second, someone's going to get major value. Issue is, Penix needs to start immediately, as you alluded to, he's ready. Best case is a Kenny Pickett type late first round selection. He's far more talented.
Bears fan here, I DO NOT want to see Penix in Minnesota, think him and Nix will end up being better than Maye, Jaden & JJ … can’t stand his caveman throwing motion though, but he gets it there quick
Should but won’t due to hype. Penix is more of a legitimate pocket passer that can win at all levels of the defense, those injuries forced Penix to learn how to play QB and win consistently from the pocket rather than relying on his legs.

Most of his anticipation throws were "Go get it my guy" throws that you'll soon think twice about if you're not throwing to a healthy AJ Brown every play.
He's a younger, slower and smaller Justin Fields. His quicker release doesn't mean as much as one might think as playoff caliber defenses in the NFL froth over checkdown Charlies. WTH is wrong with the Bears fanbase???!!!
They think beating up on college players guarantees the player will be god in the nfl
Bro I've been a BEAR for 40 yrs this shit will not translate in the NFL
Those two TD Passes were beautiful, 1st one he read that the DB' had his back to the ball and made great pass and the second pass was a great back shoulder throw. Seen Rodgers and Mahomes make both kind of TD passes over and over again in games where they also missed throws. What's your point?
I also thought he was mostly off script and then I actually watched tape on Caleb and saw that it was a good mix of on schedule throws and off schedule stuff. Also Caleb doesn’t party like Manziel and has actua work ethic and cares about winning. Bad take.
Not impressed
He's old and has enough experience, just needs to play at the next level. Sitting a year or three isn't always a bad thing but I fear he'd lose any stream he's had going for him. Best case is a Kenny Pickett type late first round selection. He's far more talented.
100% agree. I wish my cowboys would dump dak and take him.
Bears fan here, I DO NOT want to see Penix in Minnesota, think him and Nix will end up being better than Maye, Jaden & JJ … can’t stand his caveman throwing motion though, but he gets it there quick
Baby Mahomes
But Mike Penix Jr won. That’s the difference
Penix will go higher in the draft.
Other than the deep ball he does nothing better than caleb and even deep ball accuracy is overrated
Should but won’t due to hype. Penix is more of a legitimate pocket passer that can win at all levels of the defense, those injuries forced Penix to learn how to play QB and win consistently from the pocket rather than relying on his legs.
@davidwillis8623 lmao casual he's just a bigger tua. He's accuracy and decision making under pressure is terrible and he can't throw outside of the pocket
@@Recurses Penix will be going to a better team due to being drafted much lower, hopefully his OL is better so he can thrive
@@Recurses and lmao I’m a “casual” but I saw CJ Stroud coming based off my film study last year 🙄
Mahomes improvising with Zack Wilson’s. Ability to read a defense nothing he is doing will translate tot he nfl if you told me he watched zero film I would believe you you can only count a few times a game where you stands in the pocket and makes a throw
yeah sure... one of the worst oline and wr grop in the country. The guy puts amazing stats, but yeah he's trash!
You know who doesn’t say he watched zero film
His coaches
His teammates
Literally anybody but you.
And you mention he can’t make throws form the pocket when he literally makes throws from the pocket in this game. He only breaks structure when he gets pressured which was a lot due to poor o line play.
@@itisnottaken4444none of these dudes know football man 😂 just let em find out for themselves eventually Caleb gonna be shutting them up real soon
@@httrprodI know man, I love how every dipshit on the internet is a football scout now. It's all because there is no price to pay for their shitty little predictions ending up wrong. I say that if you claim Caleb is going to be a bum but then he goes out and is balling for 300yds a game and is NFL Rookie of the Year, you shouldn't be allowed to post on RUclips for one year.
All the NFL like throws I saw were dropped lol. This dudes an elite player and will be insanely good
This guy frustrates me. Is he talented enough to play in the NFL? Absolutely. Is he the next Patrick Mahomes? No. I don't like his attitude. Patrick Mahomes does what he can do because he is smart, dedicated and has an ungodly level of physical ability. And even he has throws and games he wishes he had back. This guy won't succeed if things stay the way they are now. He is not a generational talent. You know, the one that comes along every year. There are no lazy all time greats. Except maybe Brett.
Did you watch Mahomes in college? He was making most of those decisions and plays you mentioned. You’re comparing Mahomes now to Williams instead of watching Mahomes film from his time at Tech
Shut up.
comapring a college qb to the best QB in the NFL isn't fair, because theirs no way your comparing him to college mahomes right??
@@itisnottaken4444 mahomes sat for a years though and learned how to play and got into a situation with great weapons and a offensive head coach who could help his creativity. Situation mattters. if caleb goes to the bears then i dont think he will develop into a mahomes type player, its more likely he just loses all his confidence like zach wilson
Lazy? You don’t know him lol
Penix Jr. is the better QB.
