Dude is a short version of Pat Mahomes with less arm strength. Back when Manziel was playing I said that he would never be good in the pros because his entire game is running around in circles and throwing it up for grabs. When I saw Mahomes's first year at Texas Tech I saw that he was like a tall Manziel, but had the pro level accuracy to make these weird angle plays.
Simply put, Manziel was a backyard QB. He threw passes up for grabs. Mahomes and Williams are pro level QBs that have that backyard QB mentality. They don't just throw up for grabs, they have insane accuracy and have it at the craziest or angles. Sometimes it's like playing basketball on the field the way they toss passes.
@@ghostwalker89 Manziel didn’t pan out because he wasn’t prepared mentally. Johnny had no guidance which led to his downfall. It’s not all about arm talent and accuracy, there’s way more that goes into being great.
@northsidecj Manziel didn't pan out because the NFL isn't college. I said the same crap about Tebow when he was being drafted. No way in hell was Tebow an NFL level QB, same with Manziel. One had the perfect guidance and personality, the other had the exact opposite. Both were elite college players. Neither should have sniffed the NFL as a QB. Both were drafted based on how much money they could get from people buying their merchandise.

Taller Doug Flutie and a lesser version of Patrick Mahomes. His arm strength is good not great, great IQ and feel for the game though. I’d say he’s a better passer than Deshaun just cuz his throwing mechanics are a bit more fluid. He’ll never be as good as Mahomes but still capable of being a top 5 QB in the NFL just not the best.
I’m comparing what Caleb to Patrick is now not as a college prospect. The only reason why Patrick wasn’t more highly regarded cuz no one has seen someone play like that and be successful in the NFL which is why Patrick is what he is now. Also unlike Caleb, Patrick was putting up stats with no names in college and now in the NFL besides Kelce. Remind me how many People were drafted from Patrick Mahomes teams and tell me how many people will be drafted from Caleb’s teams.

Am I missing something? Most of these plays are by-the-skin-of-his-teeth plays, NFL defenses will eat up most of these plays. I see nothing that overrides Fields ability, the Bears need better receivers, Fields is the man.
You don't know what you are watching or haven't watched enough. Caleb's passing numbers in his rookie season will exceed all of Fields' best numbers from any single season in 3 years.
