I make Metal songs once in a while, I must have made dozens actually. I listened to a lot of Metal, mostly from Scandinavia, before I stopped listening to music in general (longer story^^). And the creators of the pictures in my videos are always linked in the video descriptions. =)

Men spoke about mythical forests. Forests in which all creatures glow bright in the everlasting night of the forest. While the full moon shines upon the lake in the middle of the deep forest, the bright-shining creatures, animals and beasts alike, join together in a monthly ritual. They chant a mystic tune to the moon, a tune that holds all the good in the world. This is a tune which releases good intentions into the world, and drives the negative away. That is why children alone can enter these forests, even see them, because children have a pure soul, a soul which is not tainted by the serious world full of grownups. This song is known to these creatures as the Moonsong.

Oh, there were great, grim, sky dragons who nested on clifftops like giant scary birds. ... You'll have to take my word for it, for the dragons are disappearing so fast they may soon become extinct. Nobody knows what has happened.
This song reminds me of the moon deer, a creature that would look into your eyes and read the contents of your heart, if it finds evil there, than the Moon Deer would use the power of the moon to purify your heart, if it finds any sadness there, the Moon Deer would use the light of the moon to soothe your heart, the Moon Deer would only come out at night to find anyone awake, to lull them to sleep using a ancient and soothing moon song, and bring them to the moon to give them a place to be at peace and sleep, forever using a ancient and soothing moon song that never stops due to the beautiful light of the moon keeping it up, and then when the light of the day came, the Moon Deer would send the one they put to sleep back where they came from Edit: so the "Moon Deer" is a metaphor for something which I will have to put fourth some effort into to get the answer which I seek

Weirdly enough, this reminded me so much of a PS2 game I played awhille back named Okami, which was Japanese. Very similar to the soundtrack from that game.
@@donavanobrein8205 I guess it's the mode as well as the instruments. The woodwind is familiar as well as the string. The harp can be simulated with a zither. But not all instruments have a Chinese alternative, like the bass woodwind.

I was wondering if you have ever been asked to compose for movies. If I was a movie director, I would put down some fat stacks for you to compose movie themes. I guess what I'm asking is: Where does this music go? I understand that this could be your passion, but are you composing this music for anybody in particular?
+Mack Millicco No I make music really just for passion, for myself.^^ I am asked every now and then to compose for a game or a movie but I always decline because I enjoy my freedom to do what I want instead of working under contract.
When I was listening to this song, it really calms my mind, body, and soul. I even looked up to the sky at night staring at the moon and felt like the time has stopped. I even sometimes had a dream or a vision. A vision that Jesus and I were part of it. It was at night, where stars shine bright. While the moon glows bright blue and white. Jesus and a group of so called Moonchilds were there. I was also a moonchild. A mixture of elf and angel-like creature. Had our wings spread out, holding hands and made a circle. Slowly dancing around in the circle formation, on a glowing blue pond or lake. Showing reflection of the moon and the stars. We danced under the bright blue crystal tree that are blooming with blue and white blossoms. We were singing. Wasn’t sure what it was about, but I somehow knew the song. Don’t know why but woke up in tears, and never forget that feeling. It felt warm and at ease. It like the real world doesn’t exist.

I remember basing a character on this music partly. He was a really good one too. An ancient patriarch of the forest, known as Elflord Olnsnod. He reigned over one of the Great Houses of Fayrelon, in his role of Godwhisperer, where many priests were taught to listen to the voices of their gods in an effort to make the world a better place. It was a calm and peaceful place, situated in one of the primordial trees of the deep groves. He taught many things, from remembering that the deeds of the past are what make our future, to learning to deal and accept lifes hardships. I remember really liking that character before he died. I would like to thank you for being an inspiration to these kinds of stories Adrian. ^^ In playing the kind music of your heart, you unconsciously spread peace to others.

This song perfectly describes how I feel when I gaze at the moon no matter what phase it's in, as long as the moon is visible. I get calmed and feel at peace. The moon was my first friend and has always been there for me. Picture the moon above a perfectly still lake at night, the stars are twinkling and the lake is like a glass mirror. This is what I see when I close my eyes and listen.

Actually on the comments of other videos he said that they ask him now and then to make some soundtracks for games, tv series and so on but he never accepted a contract because he wants to make the music in his way not what others tell him what it needs to sound like. Also he doesnt thinks about making money in this way. The World needs more people like him.
Kevin Denis "I would be reluctant because I honestly enjoy making music a lot more when 100% of the inspiration and the ideas for it came from something I discovered on my own instead of someone telling me what he/she wants me to compose." He has also explained it several times in other songs and comment sections. I would love to use his music for my game, as most of my work has been made while listening to it, (so any other music would feel kind of out of place) but that's not how Adrian makes his music, and we, as his fans, need to respect that.

Beautiful. For some reason I always get the image of a young woman bare foot in a forest with long black hair, her skin and eyes glowing in the light of the moon. As she's picking herbs a young hunter spots her as she hums a song. He thinks she's some type of fae and so doesn't draw near, hearing of spirits that dwell within the ancient woods. Every night he comes to catch a glimpse of her, she knows he's there but feels he won't hurt her. And so they meet like this, never speaking, the woman only smiling gently and humming her ethereal song. Makes me want to write, all your songs inspire me.

FXloaphy I made a song called "Song of Brotherhood", I think that comes closest to a "tavern" song from all the music I made until now.^^ But I usually base my music more on film music and orchestra stuff, that's why it's very rare that I make songs that sound like you could play it in a tavern.

+Lady5yeah They both use the pentatonic notes a lot of times. Native American music too btw, listen to some traditional Native American music and you'll hear that they sound Chinese/Nordic/Celtic too. Music is really fascinating, some cultures made very similar music thousands of years ago without even knowing each other.

I make Metal songs once in a while, I must have made dozens actually. I listened to a lot of Metal, mostly from Scandinavia, before I stopped listening to music in general (longer story^^).

Adrian von Ziegler I just love what you do man, I actually realized how much your music has helped me while I was depressed, and how it helped me write, you do music right, it fills more than one sense, I feel the music, not only hear it.
When I was young, I always dreamt of just being born in a completely different world. One where everything would just be these completely surreal and random types of creatures. But at the same time, they would each have a special role in the ecosystem. But, now a days, I can't just look at those times with those same eyes, so I just listen. To my Moonsong.

Men spoke about mythical forests.
Forests in which all creatures glow bright in the everlasting night of the forest.
While the full moon shines upon the lake in the middle of the deep forest, the bright-shining creatures, animals and beasts alike, join together in a monthly ritual.
They chant a mystic tune to the moon, a tune that holds all the good in the world.
This is a tune which releases good intentions into the world, and drives the negative away.
That is why children alone can enter these forests, even see them, because children have a pure soul, a soul which is not tainted by the serious world full of grownups.
This song is known to these creatures as the Moonsong.

This song reminds me of the moon deer, a creature that would look into your eyes and read the contents of your heart, if it finds evil there, than the Moon Deer would use the power of the moon to purify your heart, if it finds any sadness there, the Moon Deer would use the light of the moon to soothe your heart, the Moon Deer would only come out at night to find anyone awake, to lull them to sleep using a ancient and soothing moon song, and bring them to the moon to give them a place to be at peace and sleep, forever using a ancient and soothing moon song that never stops due to the beautiful light of the moon keeping it up, and then when the light of the day came, the Moon Deer would send the one they put to sleep back where they came from
Edit: so the "Moon Deer" is a metaphor for something which I will have to put fourth some effort into to get the answer which I seek

@@donavanobrein8205 I guess it's the mode as well as the instruments. The woodwind is familiar as well as the string. The harp can be simulated with a zither. But not all instruments have a Chinese alternative, like the bass woodwind.

The mysterious voice came from a floating circle of blue light. The traveler got out of the tent and followed it, to a clearing in the woods. The clearing was lit by the moon and the ground was covered in soft moss. In the center was a magical being. The being stood there eyes closed, she was a light blue with white patterns covering her body. She had 2 light blue antlers on her head, the ends of these antlers almost looked like music notes.
Mysterious female voice : "Lay down on the moss dear."
The traveler layed down on the moss

When I was listening to this song, it really calms my mind, body, and soul. I even looked up to the sky at night staring at the moon and felt like the time has stopped. I even sometimes had a dream or a vision. A vision that Jesus and I were part of it.
It was at night, where stars shine bright. While the moon glows bright blue and white. Jesus and a group of so called Moonchilds were there. I was also a moonchild. A mixture of elf and angel-like creature. Had our wings spread out, holding hands and made a circle. Slowly dancing around in the circle formation, on a glowing blue pond or lake. Showing reflection of the moon and the stars. We danced under the bright blue crystal tree that are blooming with blue and white blossoms. We were singing. Wasn’t sure what it was about, but I somehow knew the song.
Don’t know why but woke up in tears, and never forget that feeling. It felt warm and at ease. It like the real world doesn’t exist.
This is my most favorite of Adrian's songs. Absolutely incredible. The image and music remind me of the Forest Spirit from Princess Monoke. 🥺✨️🦌🌲

So i found these celtic, nordic music and i never knew i loved these. They're like a thousand times better than the "popular" music nowadays. Unbelievable music done Adrian!
I remember basing a character on this music partly. He was a really good one too. An ancient patriarch of the forest, known as Elflord Olnsnod. He reigned over one of the Great Houses of Fayrelon, in his role of Godwhisperer, where many priests were taught to listen to the voices of their gods in an effort to make the world a better place. It was a calm and peaceful place, situated in one of the primordial trees of the deep groves. He taught many things, from remembering that the deeds of the past are what make our future, to learning to deal and accept lifes hardships. I remember really liking that character before he died. I would like to thank you for being an inspiration to these kinds of stories Adrian. ^^ In playing the kind music of your heart, you unconsciously spread peace to others.

This song perfectly describes how I feel when I gaze at the moon no matter what phase it's in, as long as the moon is visible. I get calmed and feel at peace. The moon was my first friend and has always been there for me. Picture the moon above a perfectly still lake at night, the stars are twinkling and the lake is like a glass mirror. This is what I see when I close my eyes and listen.

You know, I find it interesting how Adrian has described the world as stressed and negative. I too wish that it were more peaceful. But I also think that we shouldn't forget to appreciate the presence of all that makes us happy - love, family, friends, books, and not to mention this amazing music.

when I hear this song, I fall in a place, a cave, with a little waterfall surrounded by luminous trees with purple glowing leafs. small shinning blue stones in the rock walls of the cave. A parcial dark place but very beatiful. A place of cure and peace.

Actually on the comments of other videos he said that they ask him now and then to make some soundtracks for games, tv series and so on but he never accepted a contract because he wants to make the music in his way not what others tell him what it needs to sound like. Also he doesnt thinks about making money in this way. The World needs more people like him.
Kevin Denis "I would be reluctant because I honestly enjoy making music a lot more when 100% of the inspiration and the ideas for it came from something I discovered on my own instead of someone telling me what he/she wants me to compose." He has also explained it several times in other songs and comment sections. I would love to use his music for my game, as most of my work has been made while listening to it, (so any other music would feel kind of out of place) but that's not how Adrian makes his music, and we, as his fans, need to respect that.

For some reason I always get the image of a young woman bare foot in a forest with long black hair, her skin and eyes glowing in the light of the moon. As she's picking herbs a young hunter spots her as she hums a song. He thinks she's some type of fae and so doesn't draw near, hearing of spirits that dwell within the ancient woods. Every night he comes to catch a glimpse of her, she knows he's there but feels he won't hurt her. And so they meet like this, never speaking, the woman only smiling gently and humming her ethereal song.
Makes me want to write, all your songs inspire me.

FXloaphy I made a song called "Song of Brotherhood", I think that comes closest to a "tavern" song from all the music I made until now.^^ But I usually base my music more on film music and orchestra stuff, that's why it's very rare that I make songs that sound like you could play it in a tavern.

+Lady5yeah They both use the pentatonic notes a lot of times. Native American music too btw, listen to some traditional Native American music and you'll hear that they sound Chinese/Nordic/Celtic too. Music is really fascinating, some cultures made very similar music thousands of years ago without even knowing each other.
