Btw, for anyone interested, the best Artist for dark fantasy is Pisanello. He really lived in the era of those dark fantasy middleages, in the beginning of the 15th century. His Paintings are so great, becourse they look kinda pretty, but also spooky, since there are Details everywhere glowing in the dark, wich are surrealisticly well rendert. I Just Love this Genre. Reminds me of Gothic Windows, Roses sprouting an bare walls and Stone sculpures.

But one other really good Artist in this Genre is the florentine Paolo Uccello, who is worldfamous for his battlescenes he painted for the Medici. A lot of knights in his works. Otherwise maybe Simone Martini, but since he lived a century before them his work is still very straight and Abstract (some would call it ugly). His works are truly gothic medieval and religious. (Look for his Illustration of Petrarcas Virgil) Otherwise the are no Artists known to me who directly can be considered dark fantasy, directly after Pisanello the Italien Renaissance overtook the art. Even further back in History theres of course Giotto with his plastic Style in His religious frescos, but his scenes dont Tell the same Story as Pisanellos and Uccelos. Hope i could help you

It's okay to try several different things before you find one that clicks. Paying attention to what you like and what you really care about should point you toward some options, and those may open up into other things. (Note that greatness isn't guaranteed; it does tend to follow if you focus a lot of passion on something you care about, but even if it doesn't, that doesn't mean what you're doing is a waste of time.) I love the dark academia playlists, but this one is absolutely perfect. I love all of this dark fantasy thing because it reminds me of the fairy tales I heard and read as a child... the gnomes and fairies, princesses and witches, knights and wizards, dragons and castles... And, not by coincidence, the Middle Ages is my favourite historical period to study!
