Sophie is more dire need of new tiaras however since her prior ones weren’t good. And even more so because she and Edward are the ones who go to the European royal events like weddings (while the other European royal families sent senior royals…). So Sophie has a lot of tiara events
I cant wait to see Catherine in more different tiaras cause she is beautiful, she has very beautiful hair and Britain has such a big collection , she looks gorgeous in any tiara
I'm so excited at the prospect of seeing more tiaras from the vault. Exquisite things should be worn and seen. It can be done without making them too common.
@@rebeccablackburn9487 Oh, but I 💕 love the Emerald Vladimir!👑 It's a "Big Gun" that HMTLQE2 worn quite regularly. QC would rock that - she has great tiara hair! It looks very heavy, though, the price of fashion👸😉😊
@@rebeccablackburn9487 Baloney---the Queen wore the Vladimir tiara all the time and it's Russian----bought by Queen Mary from Russian royals who were lucky enough to survive the revolution. Nothing controversial there---that's just the excuse the BRF made to not let Meghan wear it for her wedding (which she was not entitled to ask anyway).
Because William took such a long time to make up his mind… and because Diana was dominating the news in the 1990’s. Sophie and Edward were able to sail under the radar during their courtship.
@@StrawberryShortcake12335 That makes sense and also Edward was not thought of being of great importance . No one knew exactly how important the minor Royals would be , including the Gloucesters . I hope that eventually Beatrice is brought in to work part time .
@ As an American, I watched Charles and Diana’s wedding, I watched Andrew and Sarah’s wedding. I didn’t even know QEII had a fourth child until they became working royals.
Jacqueline I think Catherine has a much higher status than Sophie and the Tabloids are therefore keener to undermine her. It is really a very stupid tactic and very disrespectful.
Hi Brittany, we can only hope that QC does open the vault to the royal ladies, so wonderful to see all the tiaras. Love to see the RF collection it must be amazing.
@ it’s bloody ridiculous that she had to snatch a tiara that was on life loan to Sophie when she has all the big guns at her disposal. If she wants a lightweight one, the Deli Durbar is such a tiara. Tall but very lightweight. But no…she just has to stomp all over the other royal women who actually work extremely hard to her very little, to exert her power as Queen consort. Can’t stand her. Never could. Not saying she doesn’t champion some good causes but in the big scheme of things, she does almost nothing but host receptions. I’ll never understand the love & grace extended to her by many. She has engineered her family merching the monarch for yrs. First her sister, and now her son. Blech….
@@catclelland2447 Catherine will be Queen one day, perhaps she’s not in a hurry to wear certain tiaras until they are available to her. The tiaras do seem to have a ranking order of the wearer. Also, I gather that depending on the event, the guest of honour and the symbolism, each tiara is carefully chosen. Some tiaras haven’t seen the light of day for many years for whatever reason. When not worn, I’d say that all Royal jewellery are under lock and key, safe in a vault.
When her people lol what do the royal family care about normal people do they think about old people young people and the ones in between no they don't
@@Gerry1of1 The rules are different for Princesses of the Blood as evidenced by Princess Elizabeth, Princess Margaret and Princess Anne (you could also go back further to Queen Victoria's daughters who all wore tiaras on state occasions when they came of age and/or prior to marriage).
People most certainly did know that The Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara existed before Princess Eugenie wore it in 2018. It was bequeathed to The Queen Mother, along with the jewels of Dame Margaret Greville in 1943. The Queen Mother didn’t wear it publicly, and neither did HMTLQ when the collection passed to her in 2002. However, it’s been in the royal collection for decades. It is a known tiara.
Well, we’ve known of the Greville additions but we’re not sure of the entire contents of the bequeath. There was a stomacher that Queen Camilla wore last year that was part of the Grenville collection that no one knew about until she wore it. There might even be more to the collection than what we know about. Thanks for watching!!
@@scrabtr67 there aren't that many emerald tiaras in that particular collection. it might have been the Vladimir tiara- it does have an emerald setting even though it also has been seen with pearls and also plain (if such a descriptor can be applied to a diamond tiara - no extra jewels at least). it was either that or the Greville, because the only OTHER emerald tiara in the collection is on permanant display(queen victoria's emerald circlet- I can't recall it's proper name). but the Vladimir is a Big Gun - the only one who wore it was HLM so I can't imagine it was ever in contention
@@scrabtr67 Meghan might have been wanting to wear the Emerald Bandeau Tiara (the one worn by Catherine, PoW, for Earthshot Prize in Boston as a choker) that once belonged to Diana. Diana also wore it across her forehead, but not as a classic tiara. Perhaps that was the piece Meghan was after. Would make sense given the sick obsession of H&M with Diana.
I like your video, but I beg to disagree with one small point. Lady Louise is technically a princess, being the daughter of a son of a monarch, like Beatrice and Eugenie, but she has decided not to use it.
Although they are blood princesses, they don't bear the title of Princess because their parents deferred it, so I think this refers to titled Princesses unfortunately...
So is Zara and her brother both are entitled to the titles but want a normal life.Which if you are not going to be King or Queen I think is good. It's better to be Mrs ? and make a career for yourself.
Zara and Peter have no titles because Anne and their father Mark Phillips chose for Mark to not receive a title upon marriage. Anne knew her children would start out far from the crown and grow more distant with the birth of every child of her three brothers and the children of each of them, etc. So why raise her kids to be titled? They both have done well for themselves with far less media scrutiny than even Bea and Eugenie.
It’s also nice for us Brits to actually *see* these items being worn rather than them being buried somewhere. I have the same opinion about the gifts to the throne. They should be displayed and sent on tours instead of rotting in a vault.
Tiara 's are so beautiful. Would love to see Beatrice 's wedding Tiara again. If I remember correctly, I saw a picture of Queen Mary wearing it. I think it would also suit Catherine well.❤️🌹🐝
She did on her wedding. Thus the queen not only lend Beatrice a dress from the famous dress designer which they altered, but also the tiara that she herself wore on her wedding day. Love of a grandmother.
Hi Brittany I have a few different theories. I think Camilla doesn’t want to wear the heavier tiaras because of the stress on her neck. Also the appearance of a lot of the Queen Mother’s tiaras - lotus etc is I think a choice of King Charles. He loved the Queen mother so much I think he would be enjoying the memory of her around him on the women that he loves and appreciates. I think the late Queen was conscious of not over exposing the wealth of the family because of the anti monarchy sentiments over the period of her reign. What do you think?
The tiaras belong to the Queen. Camilla Is Queen Consort and they have already been designated in the Queens will. Camilla has no Royal Children and has no right to designate anything differently. This is not about her. it’s about the King and Queen. Catherine was given a Tiara but the Queen; not so with Camilla. She can use them but none belong to her. They will belong to Catherine because she will be the Queen and not the Queen (Consort). Big difference in rank if you don’t already know that, even Princess Anne reminded Camilla she’s the Queen Consort . And what an idiotic idea. There is a big reason the tears are worn by the Queen. The queen should’ve made him give up the throne and not that old bag Camilla. Then we might actually have Princess Anne become Queen.
It's usually only the monarch, the direct heirs and their spouses that go to the Diplomatic Reception. For some years it was the late Queen, Philip, Charles, Camilla, William and Catherine. Now it is just the latter four. I don't think I've ever seen any of the other royals at this event. On the plus side - I believe there is a state visit coming up next month. If that includes a state dinner, and it usually does, then we will have a chance to see pretty well all of the royals, and tiaras will be worn. I'm wondering if Camilla will be wearing something she hasn't worn before. I'm hoping for the Vladimir, or perhaps the Queen Alexandra Kokoshnik, either of which would suit her. Maybe Catherine and Sophie will wear something different too.
@@chockie62 Margaret bought the Poltimore tiara, which she wore at her wedding, which originally belonged to Lady Poltimore at auction in 1959 for £5,500. It was sold for £926,400 at a Christie's auction in 2006 following her death. It's buyer is unknown, maybe the Queen bought it.

@@lindamorris4542 The same reason Brittany accuses the Queen & the RF of "covering up" for Harry and then says she's confused what I'm talking about and goes on to say it's a term she mostly sees in the comments as if that makes any difference. She still uses the term. The definition of "cover up" is to conceal evidence of wrongdoing, error or incompetence or other embarrassing information applied to people in positions of authority who abuse power to avoid or silence criticism or to deflect guilt of wrongdoing. To then tell me what she really means is that the RF's PR operations runs interference for RF members whenever they don't want anything to go public is to suggest the RF's operations are completely separate from the RF and have nothing to do w/working under their directives to run interference whenever RF members don't want anything to get out. She's contradicting herself. Who does she think the RF PR operations work for if not for the RF? Anyone who accuses the Queen & the RF of covering up doesn't have a leg to stand on when harry & meghan and their followers/supporters or anyone else accuses the RF of covering up wrongdoings and I don't know how anyone can trust/support people who they've accused of covering up. She is a royal commentator who engages w/her viewers and I've asked her on numerous occasions to explain what wrongdoings the RF has covered up for Harry that she thinks she and the public are entitled to be informed about and If she's going to contradict herself when she answers questions from viewers who are completely confused by her explanation and would like a simple answer and just avoids defending her remarks and explaining herself, it speaks volumes.
Technically her name is still Middleton as brides to the RF do not get their surname on marriage unless they are of Royal blood, but I do get your point, she should be referred to as Catherine, Princess of Wales.
I sure hope so. If the tiaras are there, why not to wear it? I read someone saying that KC3 doesn't want it display the wealth to not stir up revolt because people are poor. I think it is a nonsense. They are wealthy and we know it. They are not going to wear every day, but it will be nice to see them around often.
It was a fake one , the Late Queen was very aware of Megan’s doings, was not happy about the wedding, so the real tiara would never be loaned out to her. I doubt Megan even realized that little shaft by the Late Queen. After demanding her personal choice of a tiara, told she would wear what the Late Queen decided, made a big stink the Late Queen decided a very good idea to making a fake. A royal bride 3rd wedding does not wear bright white which also angered the Late Queen. There are rules for a Royal Wedding that are to be followed and Megan chose not to follow protocol, caused the staff much extra work , which she only complained about, neither grateful nor kind to staff or Princess Catherine and the little Princess who was only 3 and subjected to bullying by Megan and Jessica Mulruony. Both Skanks of the lowest gutter in my books. The World saw how the rest of the family were not smiling at the Wedding. Had I been the Queen, there would have been no fancy, televised ceremony. I would not have gone to the wedding. I feel the Queen made a judgement error, on that ungrateful pair who said the Wedding was forced upon them to please the plebs. My Word, how that must have hurt.
The honor wasted on Camilla who was and is known as a drinker, who appeared topless with her friends on a yacht, and while she was much older and carried on an affair with a weak man who had young children and a young wife is what is disgusting. To see her wear the crown and jewels, which once graced the head and body of the late, magnificent, devoted and beloved Queen Elizabeth II is repulsive. You cannot put a silk purse on a sow's ear named Camilla Parker Bowles.
@@helendosch3461 Yes that rumor flew around when therefore several photos of the tiara where the diamonds had a slight rainbow sheen. Real diamonds don't have any rainbow sheen at all. Expensive leaded cut-glass crystals often do have a slight rainbow sheen. A great many aristocrats who have heirloom jewelry often make very expensive copies with crustals and wear those outside, never the real thing. Considering markle's reputation for thievery ( the Reitman's shoot), I expect markle was never leant anything real by the queen. After the wedding Markle " lost" a diamond bracelet the queen lent her. After that, the queen's jewelry vault was permanently closed to markle, while Ctherine still had access. That must have burnt the markle ego, despite the fact it was her own fault. Hre is something to cheer us up. Markle only wore a tiara once, at the wedding. She never swanned around in a tiara at any other royal event or reception. Catherine did. Ouchy again.
The tiara I loved almost best for design was Princess Anne's wedding tiara - the Greek style. So suited her and alluded to Prince Philip "of Greece"and her grandmother - no not the Queen Mother, but Philip's mother, whom I think Anne takes after.
If you are speaking of physical resemblance, Anne looks like Queen Mary, IMO. Anne is made of much sterner stuff. Have you ever read about Princess Alice of Battenbureg, Philip's mother? Though she was well liked, she had a sad life full of tragedies and mental illness. She even spent time in a sanatorum for the mentally ill. She was so active in charities that she gave all of what little she had to the poor and left to start a convent. She deserted her final child, Philip, a penniless orphan at 12 yrs old. To be taken care of, as a "poor relation" by distant cousins. Until Uncle Dickie Montbatten recognized in the handsome Philip a way to get closer to power and took him under his wing some years later. Princess Alice spent her final few years at Buckingham palace with her son and his family, dressed totally in nuns garb. In the end, Philip took care of HER. I can't see Anne deserting a 12 yr child. Too logically dutiful.
One of the things you didn’t mention that I think is important about passing around or letting them choose what tiara they want to wear or pull out ones that haven’t been worn in so long and kind of moving through the whole collection; is the Dats keeping with the kings, the former Prince Charles is interest in allowing the people to see the castles, the palaces and such that The monarchy has acquired over the years that are a part of the royal collection seeing the artwork and everything and to at least see the tiara is through decent pictures of the state of the main state visits is a way of sharing those tiaras with the public. It would be great if one of the museums put them on display for say six months. If they have a state visit that one of them needed for falling pull it out of the arrangement for a week or two, then put it back. I would just love to see all of those tiaras , in one of the rims at the tower of London near the Crown jewels and let us just right by and take a look boy wouldn’t I just love it.
Almost every monarchy has that tiara (often colloquially called "big gun") for exclusive use for its queen. In Sweden this is the Braganza Tiara (also the Leuchttenberg Sapphire Parure is only worn by Queen Silvia), in Denmark it's the Emerald Parure, in Belgium it's the Nine Provinces Tiara, in Spain it's the Fleur-de-Lys Tiara, in Luxembourg it's the Luxembourg Empire Tiara, in The Netherlands it's the Stuart Tiara, and in Norway it's the Crown Emeralds. In the UK under KC III I would say that the main tiaras for the Queen will be the George IV State Diadem (for State Opening of Parliament only), and The Girls of Greatbritain and Ireland Tiara. All else might be fair game now under Charles' reign. We shall see. Exciting times, for sure.
When I saw Queen Camilla in “Sophie’s” tiara I thought of Britney straight away!! 😂. So far we’ve been able to see more of them in rotation. They’re made to be worn. Bring ‘em out I say!!
I'm afraid I do not think we will see Queen Mary's bandeau tiara for quite awhile. It reminds me of the fact Meghan Markle was very much welcomed by the RF and the British public - and in return MM was so incredibly cruel to our Queen whilst she was dying. Harry is also to blame - in fact more so as the Queen loved him so much - and look how he treated her. So no, I really do not want to see this particular tiara again to be remind of all that money the British taxpayer spent for this undeserving pair. We could have build a hospital instead.

Word going around is that QEll had a duplicate made with unreal (faux) diamonds for that awful marriage. The one that will be on display will be the real one.
I see your point but, if Princess Anne was to wear it (her great-granny’s tiara), I think she could neutralize the negativity associated with M. Anne is so well respected - I think it would have a very positive effect.
I think Her Late Majesty kept with the way things were done for two or three reasons: tradition, practicality (minimizing the hassles of rewrapping velvet ribbons to match different wearers’ hair tones + tiaras are often shaped to a wearer’s head for the best fit and balance) and frugality (there are expenses - in time and money - involved in tweaking tiaras to fit different heads). But clearly, there are ways around these issues because the Swedish and Dutch royals have made things work!
I would volunteer to re-wrap the tiaras, if the Royal Family flew my from the US to do so, but they would probably think this is weird! I really love to see the tiaras worn. I would like to see the Vladimir worn with different jewels, semi-precious jewels such as the raspberry colored garnet (can't remember the name) or morganite or even fabulous golden amber droplets.
And the economy in London is not great. Many people are struggling economically. Queen Elizabeth kept it low-profile and she had class all the way. Her Royal Highness, Catherine, Princess of Wales, is all class. One would think Camilla would give her time and energy to causes that would help her country and its people. Instead, she is thinking about changing up the Tiara situation. What a joke.

Don't shoot the messenger, but I think that Queen Camilla is a much better queen than Diana would have been. She just seems to have accepted and understood the significance and demands of her position. Her relationship with King Charles is so natural and relaxed. Princess Diana always looked as if she were walking on eggshells and wanted to bolt for the door. IMHO
One of the changes may be that Mrs. Kelly is no longer in charge of them. She may have had her own system, subject to the Queen's approval of course. But some annecdotes might indicate that Mrs. K. liked to exercise a great deal of control over things that were in her care.

For someone who reports on royals your pronunciation…is poor. For as many times you ‘ve visited Europe the correct way of pronunciation would’ve stay with you.
I felt that way too. I would still like to know why Diana only was loaned the one,, and why fergie got to chose a new one from garrard instead of getting a loaner. I always thought that was odd.
Considering they only wear tiaras to evening Royal events, the Royal ladies hand them back after the events. They are then protected in a vault for safe keeping and to preserve them. They are worth millions ££.
She has several of her own personal tiaras - the festoon tiara, the Queen Mother’s aquamarine pine cone tiara, and the Princess Alice Greek key meander tiara. Would assume the last two would find their way back to the RF.
She is not princess Catherine, she is her royal highness, Catherine, princess of wales. As she was not born into royal she cannot be called princess Catherine
Same applies to terms like "Duchess Sophie" or "Duchess Birgitte". Both only use the duchess (Edinburgh/Gloucester, respectively) title because it's tied to their husband's. They are "Sophie, The Duchess of Edinburgh" and "Birgitte, The Duchess of Gloucester", but never "Duchess plus first name". That would only be the case if they were born royal. Think Princess Alexandra (of Kent). So, yes, technically there is no "Princess Catherine" (but she would be Princess William!), only Catherine, The Princess of Wales. However, it has become (incorrectly so, as we just clarified) more and more common to at least refer to the last two Princess' of Wales as "Princess Diana" and now "Princess Catherine". Even more confusing: Technically also Camilla was Princess of Wales but it was agreed that she would only use the lesser title "Duchess of Cornwall" instead. Yeah, these matters are complicated.
At this point it is important to use the proper form for Catherine Princess of Wales. As a professional woman who also chose To Use Your Given First Name in these Broadcast, it would ve considerate to Give Catherine the same Grace. She has chosen to be called Catherine respect that decision.
It was lovely seeing all the different tiara's shown Brittany, thank you, a girl loves bling, & seeing that elegance on royal occasions. My favourite is Princess Margaret's pale blue one. I do think Princess Ann wore that on one occasion if my memory serves correct. But not since her aunt has passed. Thank you.
Why are you still calling the Princess of Wales by her maiden name??? After 10+ years of being in the RF has she not earned the right to be called by her current name??? If you put her maiden name in parentheses why did you not do it for the Duchess of Edinburgh????
I think it makes sense that when feasible, the tiara matches the dress and the occasion. I read somewhere that those large tiaras are rather heavy, so for the less grand events, if there's an option for a lighter tiara, they may like the option; let's not split hairs on an occasion where one wears a tiara and how big it should be.
I'm so glad to see the tiaras coming out of that vault! The minute Camilla got to that vault we've seen her in a different tiaras and new suites at almost every function. But most beautiful of all was Sophie in the Lotus Flower tiara!! I've never liked that tiara. I found it to be a distraction because I couldn't focus on anything else. The only person who ever looked good wearing it was Princess Margaret. It didn't even look good on PC when she wore it, not even one sparkle. But WOW! Sophie blew that one off the charts! She made that tiara look beautiful. It layed perfectly on her head, every movement was a blinding flow of glistening, whit diamonds! She gave the same WOW effect to the necklace and earrings. They were amazingly white and sparkled so brightly that night. I don't know what it was, but she owned everyone of those pieces! I certainly hope to see her in that tiara again soon. One aside here: I'm really glad Camilla wanted to wear the ribbon tiara. That is the only color stone Sophie has in the tiaras she's worn. Maybe she likes the color stone, but she already has a beautiful tiara/necklace that does look beautiful on her. I've always felt bad for her because of her wedding tiara. I figured QEII had given up on gifting pretty tiaras for the DIL's because they were in and gone in a few years. So Sophie got three strange triangular pieces, set apart on a high frame, so high above her head that her hair wasn't even laced into it! So when I saw her with the Ribbon tiara my heart fell...another tiarra, same stones, too high to blend in, and it looked like it was too sparse, it was missing a lot of something. So I was SO HAPPY to see her in a tiara that she looked beautiful in, and that she made look beautiful! I hope this keeps up. I want to see as many pieces as they can bring out!!
Dust off the vault!!! Please pass out some new options for the POW and the DOE!!!! They are both worthy and extremely loyal ladies. Neither KCIII nor QC seem stingy with the jewels.
I do think the Five aquamarine ribbon tiara is lovely BUT I think Camilla’d look stunning in the Brazilian aquamarine tiara/suite. Camilla has the right head shape and hair for the larger, more impressive tiaras. Also, the tiara base tend to be wrapped in a velvet ribbon that matches the hair color of the wearer. It is supposed to make the tiara more comfortable for the wearer and the base not look as stark. I agree, it would be lovely to see all the tiaras rotated across all the royal ladies for events. The different stones and styles would be amazing. One we haven’t seen is the Queen Mother Cartier bracelet tiara that had three Cartier bracelets on a special frame - all diamond, diamond and ruby, and diamond and emerald. The QM wore it as she didn’t have very many tiaras at her disposal. BTW Camilla has worn the bracelets off the tiara frame.
I absolutely LOVE your Tiara Talk.❤ It would be great to see more of these lovely pieces come out of the vault. My favorite is still the Lover’s Knot but some of the lace-ier, less ornate tiaras are just exquisite.
Well done Brittany , I enjoyed this informative and well researched clip. I love the whole idea of how exciting it must be playing dress up and im sure they all enjoy; we are all little girls at heart❤ im sure they all enjoy the process of choosing and wearing these beauties ❤
Tiara loaning, such as it is now, is really a modern evolution. Back in the day, royal brides were often gifted tiaras upon marriage, sometimes several depending on how important the match was. These were considered the personal property of the bride and often gifted to daughters etc. upon their marriages. That is how a tiara given to an English princess who married a Swedish prince ended up in Greece. Even QEII received several tiaras at the time of her marriage. This tradition ended probably because of inheritance taxes and many families now have a sort of trust to protect the gems from having to be sold. So now tiaras are loaned out from the sovereign instead of being gifted to an individual. Also, of the 2 aquamarine tiaras the BRF have this one is the least offensive but not a really stunning piece.
The late Queen was probably well aware that many of the tiaras that were gifted were sold because the heirs couldn't afford the inheritance tax on them. That happened with some of Princess Margaret's tiaras. The Kent and Gloucester families both have jewellery in their possession that originally came from Queen Mary. Some of the pieces belonging to the Kents were sold, but they still have some, and everyone is wondering what will happen to the considerable collection owned by the Gloucesters. As royals go, the Gloucesters aren't particularly wealthy, and it is quite possible they will be sold, especially as the younger Gloucesters, not being working royals, will have little use for them. And yes, it is is sometimes interesting where things ended up. The Norwegian royals have a fair number of pieces that were given to a British Princess as well, due to the marriage of Princess Maud to King Haakon VII.
@TheGoldielover I hope the Gloucester collection will end up back in the main line of The BRF but it seems unlikely. Although, the sovereign is exempt from inheritance taxes so the Gloucester's could leave the jewels to the King, whoever that may be at the time.
Hello from the UK. I think that this is the approach that Queen Camilla is taking, as although she has inherited the pick and use of the collection as the Queen Consort she hadn't directly inherited them as the Late Queen Elizabeth II had from her mother and grandmother either in their wills or as gifts who then loaned them as she saw fit. By the time of the late Queen's passing the Royal Collection had been well established precisely in the event of Queen Elizabeth II's death
I thought a commentary said one time that Queen Camilla was only loaned three Tiaras to Camilla. That Queen Elizabeth II did not want to give Camilla any for fear that Camilla would hand them down to her family members. Let me know
That sounds like it came from one of the anti-Camilla crowd. The late Queen generally tended to make long term loans rather that outright gifts of the tiaras. Many of them she couldn't have given away anyways, as they are either Heirlooms of the Crown, or part of the Royal Collection. Catherine and Sophie had their tiaras on loan too. The only tiara that Camilla wears that will be passed on to her family is the Cubitt Shand tiara, but that is one she inherited from her own mother and it has never belonged to the royal family.
@@bonnieabrs1003 ??? Diana didn't own any tiaras. She had access to the Spencer tiara, which was owned by her father, and then by her brother. It was worn fairly recently by one of his daughters. She was also given the use of the Lovers' Knot tiara, which had originally been commissioned by Queen Mary. That tiara was returned after the divorce and is now worn by Catherine. Those are the only two tiaras Diana wore while she was married to Charles, and Camilla has never had either of those. Diana did use an emerald and diamond choker necklace as a headband a couple of times. She had been given the use of that by the late Queen Mother, and, as it is also part of the royal collection was returned to the royal vault. It has since been seen on Catherine. Diana did have the use of another diamond and emerald necklace, also part of the royal collection as it was originally used by Queen Alexandra. It was also returned. Camilla has been seen wearing the emerald pendant from that necklace as a brooch a number of times, but that would have been with the permission of the late Queen as she was the one who loaned it to her. Diana's personal jewellery went to her sons, and is now worn by Catherine and Meghan. Do you have a source for your allegation? My source is The Queen's Diamonds, published by The Royal Collection Trust in 2012 and The Queen's Jewels, published by Harry N. Abrams Inc. in 1987. Both books are part of my own collection of royal memorabilia.
I think the idea of allocated tiara's was to avoid that hair colour matching problem and also to accommodate different sizes. I read somewhere that a number of tiaras had to be remodelled to make them fit bigger heads.. but I agree, I would really like to see some of the lesser known tiaras, and the idea of sharing the treasure trove would be great.
Is it just me, why do the tiaras that Camilla wears seem to look so wide? Edit** Maybe it was just the tiaras, bc this new one looks great on Camilla. I love your enthusiasm and agree about the use of more tiaras! ❤️🇨🇦
The Queen Mother left her jewels and tiaras to Charles, that's why Camilla was able to wear them, she didn't need to ask QEII for permission to wear them, or for access to other tiaras in the royal collection.. It's also possible that Camilla and the other women in the family are moving towards mixing and matching according to the outfits they are wearing and the significance of the designs. There might also be a weight factor involved in the choice or tiara.
Only partly true. Most of the jewels went from QETQM to QE II (and were merged into the Royal Collection Trust, also for avoiding inheritance tax, which would be insane given the vastness of the jewel collection). Only a few distinct pieces were left to Charles directly, and one of them might have been the Boucheron Honeycomb Tiara (which had been part of the Greville bequest made to QETQM), and therefore this was Camilla's signature piece in her days as The Duchess of Cornwall. For Camilla to wear anything else from the Royal Collection, she needed to ask QE II, now she would have to ask KC III, but I believe he gave her free access to most of the jewels now. Still, you need to coordinate your wishes to wear certain dazzling pieces with the curators of the RCT, as it might be that some pieces are unavailable, either on display somewhere, or at a jeweller's workshop for maintenance, etc. You simply don't bust into the vaults, grabbing some nice piece you want. It's an awful lot of planning and coordination involved.
Catherine, Princess of Wales. There is no Princess Kate nor Kate Middleton (spare me !!!). By the way, it should be Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh and not Duchess Sophie - goodness get educated. By the way, Catherine is happy for us to address her only by her first name and the same for Sophie (if you don't have the space in your computer)
@SandraLavery The tiaras are in Queen Elizabeth II’s jewelry collection which is completely separate from The Royal Collection. Queen Elizabeth II’s jewelry collection was inherited by King Charles III.
@matthewmacpherson5071 In addition of Anne not saying it, most of Queens in history have been King’s wives too. Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother for example. Being crowned Queen was a right the wives of king’s long fought for, the Saxon king’s wives weren’t Queens for example. It was victory for women when the wives got their coronations (like Camilla has had).
I hope you’re right. Makes nothing but sense. I’m sure there are some lovely treasures in the vault that we haven’t seen. I guess they’ll have to get creative about changing the base to match the hair.
New Guidelines for Tiara in UK 🇬🇧. Elizabeth II guidelines for Tiaras from her mother, Queen Mary and her Grandmother, Queen Mary of Teck. Permanent loans from 1 to 3 tiaras. The Queen was from older generation. Since King Charles and Queen Camilla there is a change up. Where other ladies are wearing other Tiaras. Where Lotus Flower Tiara formerly wore by Catherine was wore recently by Sophie. Now we have the aquamarine ribbon tiara formerly worn by Sophie now was recently worn by Camilla. Are we going to see this in the future? Hopefully this goes into the future. It makes it more surprising and coordinated with wardrobe of the ladies.
The point is the Queen wears the magnificent tiaras, not the Aunts, Uncles and cousins. But Camilla is Queen Consort. She gets to wear them, but Charles could care less, however, he is besotted with the old bag, and anything she wants, he does. What a wimpy sausage fingered man.howevert

Brittany. Please don’t forget princess Ann. She is senior to Sophie x

Why is it that Catherine is always called Middleton. While Sophie maiden name is never mentioned
Because William took such a long time to make up his mind… and because Diana was dominating the news in the 1990’s. Sophie and Edward were able to sail under the radar during their courtship.

She won’t. She just wants to wear them all herself. As if Catherine is ever going to be seen in the Vladimir or the state diadem.
Agree! Cami is too selfish to let anyone sparkle more than her.
I thought that was the one Meghan threw a fit about. Was it a different emerald tiara, or am I listening to the wrong gossip?
@@scrabtr67 there aren't that many emerald tiaras in that particular collection. it might have been the Vladimir tiara- it does have an emerald setting even though it also has been seen with pearls and also plain (if such a descriptor can be applied to a diamond tiara - no extra jewels at least). it was either that or the Greville, because the only OTHER emerald tiara in the collection is on permanant display(queen victoria's emerald circlet- I can't recall it's proper name). but the Vladimir is a Big Gun - the only one who wore it was HLM so I can't imagine it was ever in contention

I like your video, but I beg to disagree with one small point. Lady Louise is technically a princess, being the daughter of a son of a monarch, like Beatrice and Eugenie, but she has decided not to use it.
Yes, she is a Princess, but I think Brittany was just making the point of Beatrice being the first Princess born into the family.
@@chockie62 No, she specifically named Lady Louise as being like Zara in not being a princess.
Very much yes, I would love to see more too!

I agree, that's my favourite tiara. Princess Beatrice's wedding pictures were perfect
Hi Brittany
I have a few different theories.
Those larger tiaras really suit Camilla .
The now KC Charles III adored his maternal grandmother, and she he.

Yes that rumor flew around when therefore several photos of the tiara where the diamonds had a slight rainbow sheen.
So many tiaras haven't been seen in decades. I'd love to see more.,

Exciting times, for sure.

well done brittney.this is getting exciting!
That’s a good point. It’s like a hat. Not all heads are the same shape.

@@martizavala6713will she still do this once she’s Queen? That excuse is not good enough. The excuse about the SEO. She can be the one to start with that change. My opinion. Imagine still putting up a thumbnail of Kate Middleton when she’s Queen. It’s disrespectful. Period.
@@offeibeao-m4655 I agree. It's time to consistently refer to her as Catherine, Princess of Wales.
For someone who reports on royals your pronunciation…is poor. For as many times you ‘ve visited Europe the correct way of pronunciation would’ve stay with you.
Camilla wouldn't let Kate wear a tiara for the Coronation. I'm betting she won't let anyone wear them but herself.
Great video 😊
I do believe each royal lady under QE2 gave lifetime loans on 2-3 tiaras to each.
Did she tell you that herself?
I felt that way too. I would still like to know why Diana only was loaned the one,, and why fergie got to chose a new one from garrard instead of getting a loaner. I always thought that was odd.
@@kookyjoeb5524 The Queen did not like Fergie. She found her to be too bold.
Considering they only wear tiaras to evening Royal events, the Royal ladies hand them back after the events. They are then protected in a vault for safe keeping and to preserve them. They are worth millions ££.
But what about Ann?
I guess I don’t think about Anne too much in this scenario, though I think she wouldn’t want to change things up much. Thanks for watching!!
I'm sure she knows that. It's just for the sake of timing. At least she's not just calling her Catherine or worse yet "Kate"
@@susanbell-mackie1380 That still doesn't stop anyone from calling Diana, Princess Diana.
At this point it is important to use the proper form for Catherine Princess of Wales. As a professional woman who also chose To Use Your Given First Name in these Broadcast, it would ve considerate to Give Catherine the same Grace. She has chosen to be called Catherine respect that decision.
The Strathmore Rose tiara is one of my favorites. I was so excited when Catherine wore it. I hope we will see it more!
Thank you.
Omg , it would be sooo cool if we could see more tiara. 😊❤
I was thrilled to see you on the "Dan Wootton Outspoken" channel. He is my number-one channel for all things royal
I hope so
I would love to see more and more of the crown jewelry 😍
Why are you still calling the Princess of Wales by her maiden name??? After 10+ years of being in the RF has she not earned the right to be called by her current name??? If you put her maiden name in parentheses why did you not do it for the Duchess of Edinburgh????
I think it makes sense that when feasible, the tiara matches the dress and the occasion.
I read somewhere that those large tiaras are rather heavy, so for the less grand events, if there's an option for a lighter tiara, they may like the option; let's not split hairs on an occasion where one wears a tiara and how big it should be.
More tiaras? How fabulous!
Seeing we own them, we should be able to see them worn. I would love to see the Princess of Wales wear a range of different ones
Stop calling her Kate it’s so disrespectful
You have hamg ups@
She has explained many many times is an algorithm thing. Get over it already.
These pieces are so beautiful. I love seeing them
I'm so glad to see the tiaras coming out of that vault!
Princess Cathrine wore the Lotus tiara because she was afraid of outshining the visiting queen and wanted the focus to be on her.
It’s so interesting. You make it exciting. I also hope they show up in different Tiaras.
Dust off the vault!!! Please pass out some new options for the POW and the DOE!!!! They are both worthy and extremely loyal ladies. Neither KCIII nor QC seem stingy with the jewels.
Always a pleasure to hear uplifting stories about the royal family.
Don’t forget the QM oriental circlet tiara hasn’t been seen in awhile. It was Queen Victoria’s.
@ It would look so pretty on Catherine or Sophie.
I love that..."A passion for royal fashion!"
I would love to see some of the lesser known but still grand tiaras.
The history surrounding these tiaras is fascinating.
If this is the way things are going, it would be great, because we could get to see some lovely tiara's that we haven't seen in many years.
I don’t think that’s the only reason. She did , after all take a tiara the belonged to Diana after her death. It was returned.
Nah. That’s just a rumor. Camilla could not give away something that more than likely belongs to the crown.
maybe the way she wears her hair?
Keep taking it C.
Princess Catherine!
Such wonderful news about the royal family! Wishing them happiness and joy always!
❤❤❤❤❤
I agree with you…plus certain stones will compliment what is being worn
The royals are such a symbol of strength and elegance, truly inspiring.
Yes, but she prefers Catherine. Kate is a nickname.
I hope are correct. Seeing the tiaras on all the ladies is so nice. ❤❤❤
The Tiaras are in the Royal Collection, so obviously the Queen outranks everyone else.
As Princess Anne once said to Camilla, “You are not the Queen! You are the King’s wife.”
@SandraLavery The tiaras are in Queen Elizabeth II’s jewelry collection which is completely separate from The Royal Collection.
Queen Elizabeth II’s jewelry collection was inherited by King Charles III.
@@karenwalters4533 Princess Anne never said that and any videos claiming she did are completely fake.
@matthewmacpherson5071
In addition of Anne not saying it, most of Queens in history have been King’s wives too.
Thanks for sharing, Brittney. As a jewelry fanatic, I would enjoy viewing the various tiaras that the English Monarchs wear.
Camilla is NEVER lovely 😆
I love the tiaras with colored stones. Especially the Greville, and that beautiful ruby tiara with the Brazilian rubies that Queen Elizabeth II wore with the matching necklace.
