Not everyone can wear high heels, and they are not practical. Queen Letizia has foot problems, she is a trooper for wearing nice shoes even if they are not heels. I got rid of any heel over 2 inches in my own closet, heels are not a must have.

So. I love your channel and agree with 99.9999% of your comments. But…. Please, please, please cut Letiz some slack. She is verrrry petite and her husband is gigantic. She spent years (maybe her whole life) wearing crazy, ultra, spiky high heels. She has ruined her feet? Arches? Achilles tendons? I think at this point you just need to acknowledge for her health, her footwear may never again be stylish/current/flattering/chic. Again, I think your comments are always spot on, but it’s almost to the point of criticizing a blind person for wielding a cane… “that outfit would look much more stylish without that red/white pole she’s constantly carrying…

I agree with most of your picks today except Queen Leticia's last look with the blue skirt and white shirt. I love the skirt but viscerally disliked the blouse. I thought it was extremely dowdy and boring. I would also like to say that I am very happy to see her wearing moderate height heels, not everyone can wear towering stilettos. Podiatrists around the world would likely applaud as well.

I’m a retired psychologist. I spent 20 years as an eating disorder specialist. Our society criticizes women, their styling choices, and their body shape. It makes us hypercritical of others, and of ourselves, so it is one of the causes of emotional problems, and has contributed to the rise in eating disorders. Most of my work was with preteens who purged (or over exercised) and/or restricted calories. When the body has no fat to burn, it eats muscle - often the heart muscle is attacked. Over the years, I worked with many young girls that had forever harmed their physical health.
I don’t think it’s appropriate to criticize the style choices of our female royal role models (or public figures). They are always on display on the public stage, and spend their time doing a great deal of good. Their clothing choices need to have variety, and they often
highlight their country’s fashion industry. They incorporate styles , and jewelry that have special meaning for the occasion - and you fail to comment on that. It’s almost impossible for the royals to always look their very best, every day, and on every occasion. The USA doesn’t have a monarchy, and you don’t seem to understand the amount of good, these women do, or the importance of their role. It would be far healthier to highlight their good deeds, than their fashion choices, that you dislike. None of the royals you criticized wore inappropriate clothing. I appreciate their modesty and selfless service. I’d much rather hear positive content, than criticisms, that attack how these women look.

    • @opalruby13
      @opalruby13 15 дней назад +2

Nobody here is criticising the royals’ work, just their fashion choices. I doubt a queen cares what people are saying on RUclips, but for those of us who don’t have the money or the occasions to wear clothes like this it’s just harmless fun.

Q Letizia’s metal headband worn to see her daughter off to sea was worn for sentimental reasons. It’s connected to Leonore’s sister, Sophia, so Leti wore it to include Sophia at that special moment. 🥰. I’m not a fan of the turtleneck or gloves worn with QMary’s beautiful cream and gold gown either but the gloves were part of the dress code and I suspect that the reception hall was freezing cold. Queen Letizia's red dress problems included: Fit is too loose, the length because it makes the boots look wrong and the shape of the neck wasn't a good look for her. I think the one of her from last year had a better neckline. I like her too, but somehow it just didn't work well together. I wasn't fond of the snowflake dress as well.

I like Queen Letizia’s evening skirts but the button-down shirts don’t work with them. The shirts have volume and so do the skirts which is too much. She’s super slim and fit and can wear anything but, for proportion, a full-fitting garment should be worn with something more fitted. Also, a plain white blouse (even if it’s made from luxurious fabric) paired with a plain long skirt looks unfinished and less dressy.

You do such a great job with the European royals, and although our new American First Lady is not a "Royal" per se, it would be fun to follow your commentary during her fashion journey in the next four years. I'm sure I'm not your only fan who would love to see you take her on!

Thank you so much!! I'm definitely thinking of including her in these lists as she's honestly so incredibly stylish and I've always loved her fashion! In fact, I just uploaded a best and worst of the Inauguration fashion!! Check it out!!

I recently wore a purple dress with green jewelry and I like that color combination. With regards to Queen Mary's turtleneck, it definitely does not come with the dress. She should have worn an undershirt that didn't show.

    • @RoyalFashionNews

I think green and purple can work, but I think a muted person would have been better. And yes, I believe Queen Mary was required to wear a turtleneck, which didn’t work but I still liked the dress overall! Thanks for watching!!

@@RoyalFashionNewsit looks like Queen Mary must have worried about freezing with out a turtleneck and gloves! I remember visiting the royal palaces in the summer when it was quite warm, and they were still freezing inside! I wonder if it was a full turtleneck dress underneath.

Queen Mary's cries out for a tiara. The whole look seems unfinished without a tiara. The neckline also needs a bold necklace.

The red dress with the wide black belt in the beginning doesn’t look like it’s a good fit to her body at all. I’m sure it was very expensive, but they could have done a better job fitting it to her.

In Maxima's defense, the earrings she wore with the purple outfit had green stones AND purple stones. However, she has a fabulous pair of amethyst earrings and a matching ring that would have looked better with the outfit, IMO.
Sorry, Brittany, but I HATE Letizia's white button-down shirt with the lovely blue skirt. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. For me, this time it didn't. Also, I think it was far too casual for the event.
I do agree with you on that terrible hat Sophie wore on Christmas day. She looked like she was wearing a doughnut cushion on her head. She deserves better.
Yes, Mathilde's weird top and trousers were Natan Couture.
Re: Mary's outfit -- the turtleneck is not part of the GORGEOUS Rickie Freeman gown, and it was a big "NO!" for me. So were the gloves, which were the wrong length. The gloves and the turtleneck ruined her entire look.

    Best & Worse
    Best
Queen Maxima of Netherlands 🇳🇱-the coat is beautiful
Queen Letiza of Spain 🇪🇸-lovely blue suit & headband
Catherine, Princess of Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿-Love the complete outfit the tartan coat matching separates (Gabriella Hearst top and Edina Lee skirt)
Queen Maxima of Netherlands 🇳🇱-Love this red outfit! She should wear more hats it camouflage her hat.
Catherine, Princess of Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿-Birthday photo was beautiful!
    Worse
Queen Letiza of Spain 🇪🇸-the dress fitted loosely with the belt is messy
Queen Mathilde of Belgium 🇧🇪-The top turns me off especially with the plaid.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway 🇳🇴-the coat turns me off
Grand Duchess of Maria Theresa of Luxembourg 🇱🇺-floral dress and if you are conscious of your shoulders cover them.
Queen Maxima of Netherlands 🇳🇱-Mismatched pieces and do not flow.
    Mix
Duchess of Stephanie of Luxembourg 🇱🇺-has potential
Queen May of Denmark 🇩🇰-styling is off
Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh-The complete outfit is beautiful, but the hat is horrible.
Queen Letiza of Spain 🇪🇸-The outfit would be out of the park if the skirt ended on her shins. This skirt is too long on her.

Did you ever think someone would wear sleeveless items is because “she’s older” and is menopausal. People who live in glass houses should keep their comments to the fashion and not snarky comments about the individuals. Please. P.S. foundation garments are critical to an outfit looking it’s best.

Yeah-not going to watch after reading you’re evidently critiquing a person with foot problems as failing in fashion. Maybe this will help your perspective improve: Letizia has a handicap now and it’s not nice or ethical to keep wishing she didn’t and that she could wear shoes you prefer. Talking about royal fashion is fun-calling out a body aspect is mean.
