While mini pedals arnt always my thing this one got my attention. Something I forgot to mention is that I love that the foot switch clicks. I prefer this over the silent switch. I like to be able to feel the pedal click on and off.
Well I just caught the Pete Thorn demo of this pedal great as always, but this video is great also, you touch on some different aspects of the pedal , and your down home vibe is just like your live chats, this is a great pedal, I want one, congrats on your collaboration with Sweetwater, and you are loving that PRS, I want one of those too
I bought one of the 2019 PRS CE f hole this week and gigged live with it last night. This thing has some oomph. I'm gonna have to EQ my rig all over again. So much sustain and clarity.
I sold my CC deluxe and I miss it, except for the size and flashing lights. Robert, you nailed it - best when it doesn't get in the way. The carbon copy is excellent at this - it stays out of your way in a manner which I find no digital and many analog delays cannot. I will get a mini to use as a lead enhancer - using a memory man tap tempo as my "main" delay. Cheers. Analog delay FTW!
on my tiny black star fly, the only other effect besides overdrive, is a little variable delay.sounds awesome. its all you need for getting started right away.
You did an excellent job with the demo. I’m trying to find the slap back delay that usually helps when you’re doing lead guitar solos or whammy bar dives. Slayer style though.
I'd rather get the full size carbon copy though, since it costs the exact same, but that's a matter of personal preference, either way, it sounds wild, homie
No way … this mini model is designed for external power supply only. There is no space for the battery. I don’t see this as disanvatage. After few hours of playing, even high quality battery will be fully drained. And, this compact size is more pedalboard friendly.

lol
Are mini Mxr pedals made in United States?
Delay before verb or vice versa?
Fantastic review! Thanks a million for actually showing how to operate the pedal and now just doing a review, was great man!
My god that intro jam was amazing, so chill
ya, real floaty. nice one.
Yes it sounds flippity floppity tooo....
Spot on comment😎👍
Great job Robert. You’re doing Sweet Water proud.

Thanks Robert. I’m gonna buy one on my next Sweetwater order. Awesome review.
I love the camera work in the opening shot! Very cool
thanks so much :)

beautiful playing!!
7:40 on... man that tone is sounding GOOD!
A classic with a smaller footprint. You want an analog delay that is simple and beautiful, you have to look at the Carbon Copy.
Exactly it sounds so good

Now I want one ! Awesome demo !
thanks homie
Awesome demo my friend! I had the full sized one a few years ago but thinking about this and a phase 95 to add to my pedal board.
That PRS is so sweet dude
great review man

I like MXR pedals. Made in the USA and they're good quality.
That’s what made in The USA means. GOOD QUALITY 😊
Griddle Me That yes like the great build quality of Gibson?
Holtermarvin you got me there haha 😆
@@Holtermarvin somebody is jealous they can’t afford a les paul lol
Beautiful intro.
Great pedal and Sweetwater is the best.
Do you combine reverb and delay much, or try to do one or the other? Was curious what you felt was overkill as far as modulation
In the beginning were you using reverb too, or just the mxr?
The mini same price as the larger one that holds a 9 volt. Is there any difference
Do the mini Carbon Copy pedals have the internal trim setting adjustment for the modulation speed like the big ones do?
Yep!
that does sound amazing and I love mini pedals - but is it just me that ALWAYS wants a "tap" button to set the delay rhythm?
Get a digital delay if thats what you want
“He’s a carbon copy kinda guy” lol that was funny
Great demo Robert!! I assume the modulation can still be adjusted using internal trim pots?
Pete Thorn's demo says yes.
Seems like a guy you could have a beer with
Reverb pedal vid next! Oh and great video robert!
Delay reminds me of rain.
Did diri dara dira
diri diri dara dira
diri diri dara dira
dara dira dara dira....

Just FYI, there's no bright switch on the full sized one. With the Mini, you're kind of getting two pedals in one
this has everything the carbon copy has plus a bright switch. mxr does it again.
Looking for a small pedal that comes close to a DMM?
@joesl8 Well I think the DIG would be a great choice, I had the El Cap but now have the Timeline, probably should have stuck with the El Cap
MXR pedals
Dang 5th!
I'll get first one day I know I'm falling off
Only thing that pedal does not do is cook me my steak.... Sad....
What you need is about 3 delays in your loop to satisfy you.
How do you put the battery in?
