Sometimes I get so bored with the guitar. Then I'll watch Marty play, and he makes it look so fun that I instantly want to play again. Works every time.
I completely agree. I don't really have a use for the delay multi-repeat idea in the context of my band, but this is a very functional way that I can use it. Great demo!
Love the CarbonCopy. It was my first "decent" pedal. I got a kick out of the fact that the settings you settled on are very similar to my own. Just make is sound like you're playing in a bigger room. Mine is on all the time. Thanks Marty.
thanks again....that IS THE FIRST video where I did't hear all those repeats...great for U2 fans.....I just want that long trail sound WITHOUT repeats..... sounded really good Marty.....
Just got a Carbon Cooy yesterday. The regen control is nuts, Glad I watched this video, Marty set it perfectly, (almost off). The pedal works great for slapback settings, too. Good video. thanks.
another cool vid...I myself like that 80's type sound...stadium ,.....thanks for call of your help over the years....you have really paved the way for so many guitarists.....over the years you can ALWAYS count on Marty....Thank You!!!!!!!
Marty, you are awesome. You seem like such a nice guy who has the best attitude and it shows that you truly enjoy music. Your joy is contagious. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and you spirit with us. I just bought this pedal and I am so happy to see that YOU have a video about it!!! Made my day! Keep rockin' dude!!!
Hey Marty. When I was on the look out for a delay pedal I was undecided between this pedal and the Boss DM-2W. I decided for the Boss pedal but this one is very musical and melodic when dialed in correctly. Very good job in this review Marty. God bless!!! P.S. That Heritage is dishing out some serious tones man. Amazing!!!
Hey marty! So I heard of this band called "The Velvet Underground" and they sound amazing and so I was wondering if you could have a lesson on one of their songs which is "Sunday Morning." That would be great, Thanks!
Hi Marty.....when looking to buy a pedal its good to check out a few reviews first, your carbon copy demo is "the same as all the other reviews that you do" bloody great. I'm trying to nail EC's sound/ tone etc using the M13 but feel I need to use stand alone pedals instead.... so glad I stopped by to check with your dem first......pro's always nail it first time......👍
Nice video Marty! I have a carbon copy and really like it. I also had the boss dm2 wazza the flashback version 1 and the vapor trail. All those delays have their strong points and they're all really good. The one thing I liked about the carbon copy was it never got in the way just like this video the delay never gets in the way probably because it's a darker delay. I think with delay pedals just pick a few are all a bit different. I picked the Belle epoque and the carbon copy...... For now anyway
I just bought one of these today. Been running my Boss DD forever and tired of it. I wanted an analog delay and this one won me. Thanks @Martymusic! I appreciate your review/comments/discussion. Rock on, friend 🤘😎🤘
I "repeat" myself, Marty Music is the best guitar channel on this planet. If only I had you teaching me back in the 70s, I coulda been a rockstar. :) Could you do a video on band practise tips please. Thanks Marty!
Man, people must love the sound of this delay. I'm considering buying my first delay pedal. Digital seems to have so many more options than analogue but this pedal gets a lot of love and attention.
Boss DM-2 Waza is your best bet. Superb pedal. If you want super long repeats, I don't know why anyone would, then digital it will have to be but for Rock N Roll and classic rock and metal the analog is great.
I glued a round Lego piece to the mod button in case I want MOD while playing. Can hit it with my foot off or on. But got a chorus pedal anyway. And a multi choice digital mini delay also. And a modulation also. Each is set to different uses
Just bought my first analog pedal (boss OD-1) and liked it way better than the sound of the Boss ME-80 multi effects unit. Now I’ve decided to go all analog and I’m looking to get a delay pedal next. Undecided between this MXR and the boss DD-8. I love the sound of the analog but the boss seems to have more options… man this is hard.
I nearly always ask about Hendrix tunes. Today is no different. Could you teach the Foxey Lady solo or Fire by Jimi Hendrix Experience? I can't do the lead and get to the D chord fast enough on Fire.
Hey there Marty always enjoy your videos I play over age vintage classic 50 Peavey app with other pedals but also I have the carbon copy I got it set pretty good it is starting point on your Reverb I got the Hall of Fame how do you set the Reverb to match your the carbon copy thanks brother keep on with the videos and I'll keep on watching
I've heard some good things about Hall of Fame pedals - a lot of sources I've read seem to think they're the best option for a fairly cheap, quality reverb pedal. Would love to know what you think of them. Thanks for all your hard work!
Thanks so much for supporting MartyMusic, also FREE courses right at www.MartyMusic.com
Marty MusicWhat does it sound like without the reverb?
How Marty I'm not sure if you can do me a song favor but can you teach us how to play gate 21 by serj tankian?
Marty Music hey Marty can you do a lesson on I want you to want me by cheap trick there isn’t a good a good lesson on RUclips for it
Sometimes I get so bored with the guitar. Then I'll watch Marty play, and he makes it look so fun that I instantly want to play again. Works every time.
Turns the left knob full right and hits a power chord.
Comes back from lunch an hour later and she’s still going.
That is hands down the most useful video I've found concerning practical use of this pedal for lead guitar tone. Exactly what I was looking for!
I completely agree. I don't really have a use for the delay multi-repeat idea in the context of my band, but this is a very functional way that I can use it. Great demo!

Great demo, I just bought this pedal and appreciate you taking the time to show how to dial it in.
Great detailed review!! Especially how you explained how to dial in a sound...thank you!
thanks again....that IS THE FIRST video where I did't hear all those repeats...great for U2 fans.....I just want that long trail sound WITHOUT repeats.....
sounded really good Marty.....
Just got a Carbon Cooy yesterday. The regen control is nuts, Glad I watched this video, Marty set it perfectly, (almost off). The pedal works great for slapback settings, too. Good video. thanks.

Thanks for the carbon copy demo. I could listen to you play all day
I got mine yesterday and I already love it!
Great demo Marty. This helped me a lot since I just got one of these pedals.

That Heritage is dishing out some serious tones man. Amazing!!!
I'm still trying dial mine in. Thank you for this! 🤘🏽
Simple and affordable. Speaking of tap tempo, I'd love to see you demonstrate how you would use that feature on a pedal.
Man, this review is just great. I wish all pedal reviews out there followed this style!
That tone is just wonderful!
I just received a VSN delay pedal from reverb for $35!!!! Practicing modes with some delay is so fun 🤩. Feeling like a super star on my couch lol
That pedal does sound in-depth to me. Pretty awesome man!
Absolutely excellent review!
Good demo of a great pedal. Super nice Heritage, by the way!
I love your teaching, it's amazing
Hey marty! So I heard of this band called "The Velvet Underground" and they sound amazing and so I was wondering if you could have a lesson on one of their songs which is "Sunday Morning." That would be great, Thanks!
Very nice! Thank you Marty!
Fun times with Marty. Great tones.
Thanks for this! I was looking for affordable delay pedal videos on RUclips today! 😂😁
Saqib Shabir
This pedal brand new is almost $150.00. If you can find it at the price Marty did your good to go.
Great review Marty!
good demo! Well, I'm sold on the Carbon Copy. gotta get one.
Excellent tutorial! Thank you. :)
I own the mxr carbon copy and i absolutely love it

Love this pedal it is one of my favorite on my board
I "repeat" myself, Marty Music is the best guitar channel on this planet. If only I had you teaching me back in the 70s, I coulda been a rockstar. :) Could you do a video on band practise tips please. Thanks Marty!
You are just AWESOME
Wouldn't mind one of these. :) I've had a look at the tab for All Along The Watchtower and I wouldn't mind a go at it.
Do u have a video on what scales to use for those cool ‘outside’ tones? Awesome!!! 👍🎸
Bought one not long ago. Love it.
I am going to buy this pedal. That is exatcly the use I want. Kind of sustain the notes, and ake the sound bigger

@@KRAZEEIZATION thank you very much! I'll check it out. I saw it pop up but got caught up looking at other pedals. Appreciate the tip.
Marty thank u so much for teaching me the guitar I playing a pro because of u ur amazing!
6:38 I thought he was going into the solo in strange brew, best Cream song IMO
I glued a round Lego piece to the mod button in case I want MOD while playing. Can hit it with my foot off or on. But got a chorus pedal anyway. And a multi choice digital mini delay also. And a modulation also. Each is set to different uses
Great Pedal. I love The heritage Guitars !!!

Really really enjoy your videos Marty thanks catch you later brother
Another great video
Nice dial in Marty for non over delayed live sound … thx
I nearly always ask about Hendrix tunes. Today is no different. Could you teach the Foxey Lady solo or Fire by Jimi Hendrix Experience? I can't do the lead and get to the D chord fast enough on Fire.
Great playing and review Marty. Any chance of reviewing the BOSS GT-1 Effects Processor? Thanks, Marty.
If only that king of tone was affordable lol
More affordable KOT.....Nobels ODR-1
Well the 150 is worth it if you record or play live
@@vsus42 Worth it if you play live, for recording in a studio.. any similar OD will do, the producer will shape the sound of your guitar anyway..
I know I’m 3 years too late but I’ll f you’re in the uk there’s a few builders who can build exact same thing internallu
This is how you get the 'Marty Sound'!
Marty, would you mind trying to get ahold of the new Fender effects pedals that came out. And doing a demo on those?
Gotta love those hollowbodies
Sounds like a great pedal
Hey there Marty always enjoy your videos I play over age vintage classic 50 Peavey app with other pedals but also I have the carbon copy I got it set pretty good it is starting point on your Reverb I got the Hall of Fame how do you set the Reverb to match your the carbon copy thanks brother keep on with the videos and I'll keep on watching
Easily my favourite delay pedal!
best affordable guitar pedals I own are the amazing Finch stuff @
Man i am lucky coz i can watch you play .
It's pretty cold sounding. I tried one in 2010 and didn't like it so I bought a used Boss DM-3 instead which I can't live without!
Put a ep booster after it or power it 12 or 18 volts. Rivals the DM2.
I've heard some good things about Hall of Fame pedals - a lot of sources I've read seem to think they're the best option for a fairly cheap, quality reverb pedal. Would love to know what you think of them. Thanks for all your hard work!
That was pretty cool
May you do a guitar lesson on Ventura Highway - America

You should do a Ventura Highway by America lesson
Oh you bought a used one! I was like affordable it’s $200 here in 🇨🇦!
Can u plz play backstreet boys i want it that way. Intro
Hi, between mxr and Boss dd3 which One is more better, think to buy delay, Thanks.
CC used prices have gone up.

Could you do a review of a "wa- wa" pedal?
I bought the mini version
please do lesson for sailing to philadelphia
Carbon Copy has always sounded fantastic, but won't replace my Deluxe Memory Boy just because of the tap tempo feature!
Well Done :)
Broken window serenade by whiskey Meyers please
Idk why I just can't get myself to like delays... Wish I did though!
Please do Flobots handlebars
Not to spoil the reason for this video but what guitar is that? The finish is beautiful!
