@@StephenLaRosa I originally started by accident. I was cooking Brussels and got distracted by prep work. When I looked at the pan, white smoke was streaming out from under the lid. Pulled the pan from the burner, thinking the sprouts were destroyed, but when I tasted them I was blown away by the caramel and nutty flavors. Sometime later I started adding onion paste from a squeeze tube, which made them even better, but the Italian company stopped making that paste.
If it's not too much trouble, could you kindly instruct us on the fundamental culinary skills of: oó 1. Basic food preparation 2. Cooking proteins 3. Cooking vegetables 4. Introduction to sauces and stocks 5. Basic baking techniques?
I've definitely been thinking about doing something like that for a while now! Like a culinary fundamentals class you'd take in culinary school but on youtube and a bit more fun/modern. Need to figure out how I wanna structure it but could eb seomthing to work on for 2025 :)
Interesting, but popcorn? No, thanks ;) Just steam them, and they will cook evenly without getting soggy. Add salt and butter (it will smelt almost instantly) and they are delicious without too much fuss :)
Thank God for the music.
I love finishing these with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar!
What brand of cooktop is that?
I cook mine much darker than yours, and the heavy caramelization really brings out the nuttiness of the sprouts. Plus the bottoms get crispy.
Ooooh yeah, love me some nicely charred sprouts! I take them quite a bit further sometimes myself but didn't want to scare people off too much haha
