This was one of the best lineups from the CDB from this era. Great musical chemistry with all members and especially the guitar interplay between Tommy Crain and Charlie. Tommy Crains influence was pretty strong as he was a member of this band for the musical hey day 1974- 1980s.
This is CDB's best/biggest jamming song. I only saw them do it once despite seeing them several times. I practically begged Tommy Crain to ask Charlie to play it one evening at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, NJ.
Hooray for Charlie Daniels band the unsung hero! I'm sure Charlie had to know that he was building one of the most excellent histories, documentaries of modern music and capturing the most significant artists in the act making music. I always knew Charlie is the best fiddle playing hippie ever, but I now realize what a historian he is and his work will be cherished from now to whom shall he seek it , forever!
