CORRECTION: The Extended Cut of the film was included on the bonus disc of the 15-disc Blu-ray set from Scream Factory. My apologies.
Speaking of discs containing TV versions of Halloween movies, I just made an awesome discovery when I put the Terror In The Aisles Blu-ray that came in my NSM 4-disc Halloween 2 mediabook into my Region A BDP, which is that not only is it region free, as the NSM Blu-rays always seem to be, but in addition to Terror In The Aisles, it contains the TV version of Halloween 2!!
Prior to coming to own the mediabook, but having read about it and the fact that it did contain the TV version, I had hoped it would be the case that it had the TV version on Blu-ray, but once I did receive it and saw that the discs were labeled as they were (Halloween 2- Blu-ray, Halloween 2- DVD, Terror In The AIsles- Blu-ray, Soundtrack- CD) I had assumed that, just like in the case of the Scream Factory version from which NSM's disc content originates, the TV version was only on the DVD, but it turns out that I have, for a good while, had the only Blu-ray release of the TV version of Halloween 2 1981, and didn't know it!!
Yeah, it's located on the second disc inside the case for Rob Zombies Halloween II
Pizowell the 15 disc set from Scream Factory has a bonus disc number 15 it has the theatrical cut with the TV scenes edited back in so you get an uncut version of the film with the additional TV scenes! However I would suggest you get yourself a copy of the original 1981 NBC airing of Halloween because there are some extra surprises you need to see!
The Halloween TV cut is on Blu Ray on the 15th Bonus Disc included in the Scream Factory box set.

I saw this set at Best Buy back when it came out, but passed simply being that there isn't anything else new to learn about Halloween 78'. The two DVD with documentary from, I believe, 2005 or 2006, has got the most extensive info I've seen on the film.
I had the extended version on DVD wish I didn't sell it now.
According to DVD talk this set retailed for $89.97. Also the extended version of Halloween is included in the complete collection Blu-ray set as a bonus feature.
Nah, it didn't retail for that much. It was like 40-45 max.
I do have this however when I moved I believe I lost the six disc set I will let you know about the mask and how it's holding up when I get back down there

managed to grab this on Ebay sealed for £99 which i think is a steal compared to other prices (especially brand new)
I remember this set being on sale at Best Buy for around $35-40. As far as the t.v. cut of the film, I actually have a stand alone version of it from Anchor Bay (case and all). I found it at a used record store for 4-5 bucks over a year ago. Haven't seen it before that, and haven't seen it since, which is weird. I also saw Halloween for the first time on t.v. as a kid. I thought the same thing seeing the theatrical version as well. Like, "where's the rest of the movie"... lol.

Of course, as many mask makers point out, natural oils in the skin break down the latex, so cleaning or avoidance of such contact goes a long way toward preventing it from falling apart.
Got the 4k of Halloween yesterday it's one to own.

Beautiful set,although im very surprised anchor bay didn't include Halloween II? It fits in more with the original than 4 and 5.....
They didn't own the rights to Halloween II.
I remember seeing this set back in the day, was always curious why Halloween 2 wasn't part of it, I'm assume something to do with rights. Was never too hot on that mask, looks kinda goofy. But still a cool set to have in the collection.
Anchor Bay didn't have the rights to Halloween II. Back when the set first came out, I recall people saying the mask resembled Robin Williams.
I have number 3661 and had John Carpenter sign it a few years back

Latex has to be kept in a cool dark environment or it will deteriorate. I had a Michael Myers mask back in 1997 it cost $80 dollars back then. I kept it in my closet and eventually after about 3 years it was done for.
