Can't believe this video is 15 yrs old! But yeah Vanessa was definitely one if my fav love to hate characters. Too bad ABC destroyed everything when they canceled the soap. Could've bought her back YEARS ago, and Josh Duhamel (Leo) would've been down for a few cameos, just to whisk Greenlee away. RIP Marj Dusay (Vanessa)
The two biggest flaws in tv drama logic are 1) The hero threatening the villian alone (as demonstrated above) and 2) The villian threatening the hero's loved ones.
How dumb do you have to be to be all "I'm gonna send you to jail" when you're alone in a room with a crazy psycho??? And Maggie wants to be a doctor. Geez!

Maggie was so stupid in this scene! I mean who confronts a psycho alone without any protection or weapon?
She was bluffing. She knew Vanessa had SOMETHING to do with Frankie’s death, but she didn’t know the extent of it. She didn’t know Vanessa was a drug lord. She just thought it was a normal average every day of the mill con.

I wonder if Erica was the one who killed Frankie and they just pinned it on Vanessa as a way to slowly write the character out because Vanessa was always a tonally likable character while Erica was seen as more of a villain.....
@@KrisBryant99no. It was always written to have Vanessa’s goon kill Frankie. Vanessa was revealed as Proteus long before Frankie died. She spent much of 2001 torturing Hayley and Mateo.
