Wow, what a great riding area you have. I’m down in Southern California so mainly deserts but I do love the technical stuff. Just picked up a new 2024 XCW and I’m in the process of setting it up. Typical suspension, ergo, protection. Just curious if there’s anything special you did to yours. I noticed that you purchased the switch which so far I haven’t done. Although it does look like you had it in the green map, which I believe is the hot map for that technical stuff so I was surprised. Wondering if you feel it makes a difference. I did my first break and ride on the bike before I handed off to my mechanic and it was absolutely heaven to ride, even though it wasn’t set up correctly. Could not be more impressed with this new bike.

This bike is very good. Map switch is nice. I may have been in White map if it was wetter out but in this trail I really need the snappy power to do some blips up features. I amsure they look small in the video but lots of these root balls were like bike height andn you need to zap up. Enjoy this bike.

    Nice ride!
What gearing are you using for that? I will try 12/45 and will see. I ride same kind of trails.
Might change the start/stop switch. I have hard time getting used to it too. What’s the other switch on the left side? Kind of red rectangular switch?

Hey I went to 12/46 matches the same wheel base as stock gearing. Yah the old school start/stop much better. The other switch is a power switch I installed so I could override the fan thermostat and shut it down at times. Noisy if everyone stops for a break or maybe on a long high alpine ride you dont want it running while on a longer break to save on battery. Just an extra layer of safety on battery.

@@thesmoness ok! Mine is controlled by the ECU and seem to shut down when i stop the motor 🤷🏻‍♂️
Look like the TBI run hot, more than my TPI. My fan start sooner, will probably remove the thermostat as i will not ride it during winter. Did you notice the difference with the previous gen?

@@matlafalange1 yes which is why I have the version with the temp display and I can set it to say 200f but the also decide to shut it down - seems max flexibility
