    I started 4 cuttings with your method on 12-6 and now at 5-6 weeks, I have two showing roots and one of those is budding also. So 50% for now. I am waiting at least another month.

    I’m in SWFL, it’s currently 82 out… the warmer it is does that mean figs will grow faster? It takes some practice to tie up the bags using your method….

      They’ll grow faster in the heat. But then may slow if over 90F. Florida is it’s own special climate for figs. Have to experiment and experience it to figure out what works for you.

    Did mine this way and put them in a large plastic container but I have gotten a lot less growth and what I did get looks totally different from yours. Wish I knew what I'm doing wrong

      is the growth lime green or normal looking?

      @@thenotoriousfig One longer lime green shoot (the type is Stella) but no greenery on others (Violette de Bourdeaux, I-258, Peter's Honey and Smith even after a month or so. Should I cut back the leggy part and/or fertilize this one and what else can I do to stimulate some growth on the others? Trying to be patient and afraid to give them more water so that I can avoid rotting. Wish that I had a better way to contact you to discuss.

      @@truthsayer6329 Put them in a southern facing window. Block the pots w cardboard but let the sun shine on rest.

      @@thenotoriousfig Thanks, although what specifically what do you mean when you say "block the posts with cardboard and let the sun shine on the rest"? I don't understand? Are you referring to the ones that have yet to produce any green growth and what about the leggy one?

    • @thenotoriousfig
      @thenotoriousfig  7 месяцев назад

      @@truthsayer6329 if you give them sun, you want to block the treepot/roots so those don't get cooked. Or put them under lights at this point.

    WIth roots and shoots, why not take plastic off completely?

    • @thenotoriousfig
      @thenotoriousfig  7 месяцев назад +3

      if I remove plastic, they will dry out too fast. I'm going to let those roots use up the moisture and then begin the bottom watering in a few weeks. The pots still feel heavy with moisture.
