Baby Hitaishi - urgent fundraiser for gene therapy

Hitaishi is a 10-month old Indian baby with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1 - the most severe type of the condition. Here her parents describe how SMA means she cannot swallow or crawl as her muscles are progressively getting weakened by the condition which affects nerves in the brainstem and spinal cord.
You can help - and it's urgent as funds need to be raised by 15th August for a gene therapy drug that has had success.
